Lost - Have never seen, always heard about it. Still working on the first season but so far I think it's a good show.

Arcane - Season 2 (Epi 1-3) (Download): Didn't want to rewatch the first season since I wasn't as big a fan as most and I was really scratching my head at first when I had no idea anymore who was who or what they stood for and I almost gave up. It came back enough to be able to follow from the second episode. It still looks amazing, but I still don't see what's so great about it either. I mean, it's fine, but 9+/10 fine like the imdb scores for all episodes indicate? Apart from how it looks, it doesn't stand out for me... League of Legends is one of the most popular games in history with an absolutely massive fan base. As long as it isn't horrible it is going to have a good score just because of the massive community happy to see their favorite game characters on the screen. I only played League briefly back in 2013, right after Jinx released. Haven't touched it since. Played enough to know it wasn't for me. When it comes to MOBAs I preferred Smite by a large margin but also didn't play that much.

Lost - Have never seen, always heard about it. Still working on the first season but so far I think it's a good show. Its funny you posted about this I was just talking about Lost with someone. Just watch it to the end of Season 4 and shut it off. They had no idea wtf to do with the last two seasons. Amazing TV for its time, but they dropped the ball hard at the end.

Lost - Have never seen, always heard about it. Still working on the first season but so far I think it's a good show. They can sure build the mystery... ...shame almost none of it pays off in any sort of rewarding way. You can clearly see they didn't start off with a plan and just kept making it up as they went along and too little gets resolved in the end. I didn't mind watching it when I was watching it, but I certainly wouldn't rewatch it now that I know what it all leads to...

Sounds a lot like what happened with Weeds, it should've probably ended after 2-4 seasons but it lasted 8 somehow. *edit* lol one really funny scene I remember from Curb Your Enthusiasm, that big guy from Lost plays a weed dealer: *edit* Wow also noticed this guy in Lost: lostpedia.fandom.com/wiki/Pierre_Chang - the same actor played a character called Winston "Vagabond" Chang in Wing Commander III and IV, old DOS space-shooters I used to play a lot: wingcommander.fandom.com/wiki/Winston_ChangIt's funny how both characters have the same last name, could be an intentional reference by the show creators. edit - searched more on this, and there does indeed seem to be a reference/connection. His character in the WC games had a similar past, namely being a scientist doing some less than humane experiments.

*edit* lol one really funny scene I remember from Curb Your Enthusiasm, that big guy from Lost plays a weed dealer: lol. Weed has always been legal in Alaska, but being a dealer isn't. Its complicated. One of my siblings friends sold weed. People learn through popculture its better if weed is sticky and complain if it isn't. So the weed dealer would pour soda on their weed and let it dry. Then when they sold it they would be like "See how sticky it is? That means its good shit!" Then again back in the day Alaskan weed was always way higher quality then the nasty skunk weed many people in the Lower 48 smoked.

Every episode leaves you hanging and nothing gets resolved. I prefered Scifi shows like Star Trek (TOS, NG, DS9) and StarGate (SG1 and Atlantis) because almost every episode had a beginning, drama and/or action, and a resolution (except for the occasional 2 or 3 part episodes).

While watching Lost (on Netflix), discovered it was partially into season 2. Had been watching before and fell asleep so I guess it had gone through an entire block of episodes already, then resumed there before I was done with season 1 (again).
Just got to season 2, liked the first season overall.
Am anticipating the point where it will stop being good, from the sounds of it, Supernatural became the same way.
*edit* Wow I recognized another actor at the beginning of season 2, the guy who plays Desmond (Henry Ian Cusick), had no idea he's Scottish. Seen him in a few things, he also played Jesus in a bible movie from 2003.

Cobra Kai season 6 (part 2 of 3) - More karate craziness and fun. They split the 6th and final season into 3 parts with 5 episodes each, the final 5 episodes should come out in a few or several months from now. One of my favorite things in this show is how they brought back a lot of the same characters/actors from the old films, they did a really good job of keeping the canon intact too. There's great chemistry between all the characters.
One of the best things about this show is that it addressed that whole thing about "Daniel was the real bully in the first film" and gave Johnny Lawrence a whole redemption arc.

Inglourious Basterds (Bluray): Got the desire to rewatch this after finding out that one of the Basterds showed up in my 'discover weekly' playlist and that I really liked his music. Omar Doom makes music as Straight Razor and when we were going over who he was in the movie at work, I started wanting to rewatch the movie. I thought he was the 'Margarete' guy, but I was mistaken, that's Eli Roth.
Red State (Bluray): Another long overdue rewatch of Kevin Smith's most atypical film, but a good one. Michael Parks steals the show (or rather IS the show).
Crime Busters (Download): A Bud Spencer and Terrence Hill movie that just happened to pop up this week and I figured I'd give it a go. While it does have its moments, it's hard to take this seriously (I mean, you don't have to, it's slapstick comedy, but I'd still like it to be grounded somewhat). This shit certainly worked better in the '80s, when I was the appropriate age...
The Devil's Candy (Bluray): Above average horror flick about satan just being a voice in your head tempting you to just keep doing the stuff that is bad for you... ...and metal.

The Marvels (Bluray): Serviceable superhero movie that I kinda dreaded rewatching but actually turned out fine. Needed a better villain for sure but it's light enough to remain entertaining, mostly due to the character of Kamala Khan (or Kahn, who knows). Watching the series 'The Franchise' makes you see what was going on behind the scenes of this movie a bit, lol. I think the Tecto movie in that series may very well be The Marvels, lol...
The Crazies (Bluray): The Romero OG, feels like a trial run for his masterpiece Dawn of the Dead, with all the chaos that throws you right in the thick of it right away. If it had been zombies instead of 'crazies', it might even have served as a prequel... This is one of the few movies where the remake, with Timothy Oliphant, actually improved the original idea...
Farang (Download): While it's really just another revenge movie, I decided to give it a shot because it was directed by Xavier Gens, of whom I liked some stuff a lot and didn't care for some of the other, so it could go either way. I quite liked it. French dude on the run from the law ends up in Thailand with a woman and her kid until plot happens and he has to violently settle the score in the second half of the movie. Takes its time to set the stage but it's paid off in that second half and especially that finale which goes all out with the violence.
Spiritwalker (Download): While watching the previous movie I started thinking about another movie I saw, which I thought to be Japanese but turned out to be Korean, of which I couldn't remember the title but it was also a revenge type flick about a guy switching bodies while taking said revenge. Looking through the HDD this title seemed to fit and I was correct. Can't believe this movie only sits at 6.2 on imdb. I think it's great. It's a little confusing at first: it's hard to make out who's who between all these Koreans and they certainly don't spoonfeed you exactly what's going on, but all is revealed in due time and the action is pretty great as well. Glad I reminded myself of this. Going through the HDD I noticed a lot of titles I didn't have the foggiest what the movies could be about. I saved them, so I must've liked them but just the title alone didn't ring any bells whatseover. Guess I'll have to rewatch some of those as well.

Just read something really interesting, apparently Macaulay Culkin is joining Fallout season 2. fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Macaulay_Culkin - hasn't yet been revealed who he's playing but there's rumors it could be Benny from NV. *edit* Kinda interested in Gladiator 2 but will probably wait until it's on digital. *edit* Still watching Lost, that whole DHARMA Initiative is starting to remind me of FBC from the Remedyverse (Alan Wake and Control).

Nier: Automata Ver1.1a - Seasons 1-2 (Download): Finally made time to watch (and rewatch) the completed Nier: Automata series. Didn't remember anything about the first season to be honest, except for those 2 first episodes, which I've seen multiple times already because of reasons I won't go into anymore. Certainly glad I made the effort to rewatch S1 first because it was pretty good and I wouldn't have been able to follow S2 at all if I hadn't. All I can say is, I've watched 24 episodes over the course of the last 5 days and I always regretted having to turn it of (because I had to leave for work or go to bed), which is more than I can say for Arcane, which I always have to slog through.

The Name of the Rose (Bluray): Pretty solid transfer on this German bluray that luckily also provides English subs for the Latin spoken bits, which I certainly didn't remember being in the movie. Almost nothing in this movie should be up my alley, but for some reason it all comes together perfectly and makes for a great watch.
Let's Start a Cult (Download): Stavros Halkias is a funny podcaster so when he mentioned he made a movie, I had to check it out. It's a low-budget comedy about a guy that got left out off the collective suicide of his previous cult, so he wants to start another to be able to finally ascend. Cue a lot of shenanigans and pretty hilarious situations that make for a fun 90 minutes.
True Lies (Bluray): Someone finally figured out there are still people not willing to fork over for 4K and they decided to just sell the bluray-disc that was already incuded in the 4K anyway as a standalone package and that's when I picked it up (same thing with The Abyss btw, which I'll probably be watching tonight). Great action flick that only slows down for some comedic beats and then goes all out for a bonkers finale with a Harrier that became even more impressive after watching the behind the scenes documentary. They actually dangled a plane off the side of a building, on a crane they put there themselves to begin with and then decided to shoot as part of the movie... ...also learned Eliza Dushku was only 12 when filming this AND got molested by the stunt coordinator. Now thet's some trivia.
Street Trash (Download): I really wanted to like this remake/sequel of a grotesque '80 splatter fest with much room for improvement, especially since it was directed by the guy that did Fried Barry, a bonkers South African flick. Some of it certainly lives up to it, and it is pretty nuts, but a lot of it also doesn't work so ultimately it kinda doesn't really improve on the original.
I'm Gonna Git You Sucka (Download/DVD): Great parody that I've seen plenty of times over the years and never ceases to amuse. For some reason one line made me laugh really hard this time, when the main character remembers his mom defended him when he was a kid, against a girl and a family of midgets that used to bully him and he swears to get even. His girlfriend tries to stop him and asks him what that's going to prove to which he answers: "It proves I can beat a woman and some midgets."

The Abyss - Special Edition (Bluray): Great movie, spectacular HD-version.
Hunter Prey (Download/DVD): If you want to make your low-budget movie not seem as cheap as it is, it helps to shoot it beautifully, which this movie excels at. Gorgeous desert shots, good costumes and make-up and an interesting enough story that doesn't quite seem to make sense at the end. I've seen it plenty times now but I still don't really seem to get it...
Infestation (Download/DVD): Enjoyable creature feature that's better than it probably should be, with a lot of humor and OK-ish CG. Seen it more than a few times on DVD, don't think I ever did in HD.
Arcane - Season 2 (Download): Still half an episode to go but I don't think that will change my impression of this series a whole lot. It's fine, just can't seem to get into it at all...
