No really "politics" but this woman killed her bf and one of her kids before committing suicide because of the eclipse...........now I don't feel bad because I didn't drive 2+ hours north for the "full" eclipse...... You could say it's political though, if you consider relgion to be political (since the conservative right and religion are pretty much tied at the hip). I noticed some religious (right-leaning) YT channels saying it's the end-times and i imagine there's probably many church pastors out there talking similarly. I have a friend (since childhood) who's into talking about end-times, hence I investigate some of the things he says. A couple of things he talked about from scripture are said to be happening. The moon's "rusting" (gradually turning red - really just a slight barely noticeable yellowish/orange tinge at this point, not red as "blood" yet) and Israel brought back the red heifer/cow (for religious sacrifice), supposedly two end-times prophecies in scripture. So I figure the red heffer was "brought back" simply through selective breeding of animals, like humans have been doing with livestock and pets for many thousands of years. No big mystery here. NASA doesn't fully understand the moon rust process yet, but I'd wager it's related to climate change on earth or some change in the solar cycle (or both) since solar flares that shoot towards space & the earth carry ionized particles, some fraction of which, skim off the earth's upper atmosphere (picking up whatever pollutants and/or unusual gases, that weren't there pre-industrial era) and then collide with the moon. www.nasa.gov/solar-system/moon/the-moon-is-rusting-and-researchers-want-to-know-why/

I have a friend (since childhood) who's into talking about end-times, hence I investigate some of the things he says. People have been predicting the end of the world since the beginning of time. Sadly sometimes they stopped planting crops because they were so sure. The years 1,000 since its a nice round number was a big one, as well as the year 1666. You remember the year 2000. Plenty of grifters selling survival kits and such in the late 1999s and absolutely convinced the end of the world was coming en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_dates_predicted_for_apocalyptic_eventsThe Jehovah Witness organization isn't doing very well these days convert wise or internally. Good riddance, pure evil organization and the leaders should all be in jail. Anyway, they have predicted the end of the world over and over. They were adamant that the people alive in 1915 were the "generation" that would be alive to see the return of Christ. Obviously all of those people started to die en masse so then they tried to change the definition of "generation". Reminds me of Bill Clinton "depends what the definition of is is" lol The JDubs would also say things like "Be alive in 75" because they were convinced it was 1975, and if not 1975 then certainly the year 2000, since its a nice round number. Nope, both wrong. They have so much egg on their face and so many disaffected members that there is a rule from the top that there are to be no more prophecies since they are always wrong. The Mormons haven't been as obsessed with end times prophecy but used to say in the 1970s "people in this room will see the end of this dispensation". Obviously the 1970s are still in living memory, but eventually everyone who was alive in the 1970s are going to die, at which point the Mormons will say that was never "official" prophecy or that person was just stating their opinion, not a fact. They weasel out of everything they say that way.

Man, CNN really has it out for team Biden and those who cover for him. Recently emerged video evidence, reported on by CNN, shows that the US withdrawal from Afghanistan wasn't near as smooth or peaceful as the official reports stated. i.e. the US establishment lied, to make Biden's decision to pull us out of Afghanistan look better. CNN, just by reporting on this, makes Biden's decision look considerbly worse than before. www.yahoo.com/news/exclusive-evidence-challenges-pentagon-account-090146927.htmlCorrect me if I'm wrong, but CNN isn't a far-right news source.

Depends on the date, a couple years ago they were running front page stuff about how terrible Biden was at pushing his agenda and campaign promises, I just saw something on CNN about bad Biden is polling with young people.
Back in the 1990s they called CNN the "Clinton News Network" or "Communist News Network" because supposedly they wouldn't report anything negative on him. Every major issue Clinton had was always the first link on CNN back then

Obviously in a lot of pain www.tiktok.com/t/ZTLu4yNgX/Tips can be quite good if you serve customers from wealthy zip codes. One of my cousins did that - working as waiter, he paid his way through nursing school, bought a home, started a family w/ kids. The (frequent) lack of maternity benefits for women is shameful though. Where I work, they give women 480 hours (3 months) annually (full paid time off for maternity leave). That's probably still pitiful tho compared to the benefits they get over in many European countries. To many Europeans, 3 months off is probably standard vacation. One comment in your link says women get 2 years maternity leave in Romania.

More bad news from CNN. www.yahoo.com/news/cnn-poll-trump-maintains-lead-120005451.htmlSurely, Biden's puppet masters are aware of his worsening dementia and that he would likely get wrecked in a face to face debate with Trump. I'm guessing they have a secret plan to dump Biden 1-3 months before the election and put a different candidate in his place. Not a bad idea. Let the Republicans waste most of their time & money campaigning against Biden, then switch out their candidate last minute, so the Republicans will have been depleted by fighting a non-opponent.

Are you sure that wasn't just a joke?
Regardless, I haven't seen any Putin supporters around here. imo, the reason over 2/3 Americans oppose the Ukriane war is not because they think Putin is a great guy, rather it's because the US has a consistent streak of L's since WWII and a new war without victory or pre-set goals is just another L anyway.
Nobody who supports it likes to talk how the US current war strategy (throwing money at it) hasn't been winning them or what we should do differently. If Biden admin wants America's support, he needs to outline a new strat that convinces ppl. If our side doesn't have a legit plan (and true intention, we assume it's not about profit motive again?) to win, then it's just throwing lives away.

GW may have been one of the dumbest PotUS ever, but he had smart advisors. Putting missile defense bases in those former Soviet Republics would've been good because they would've detered Russian invasions.. and if Russia had invaded, putting US bases in the crossfire, we would've had justification to send in our troops. Ukraine's troops, bless em, simply don't have near the training in modern warfare and technologies.

What the article left out is that they're using AI to rapid sequence hundreds of thousands mRNA combinations and test them in software simulations, something that would take a team of humans years or decades, but in mere weeks or months instead. This is also how they were able to get the Covid mRNA vaxes out so quickly.

If you can prove they broke in. The Capitol police f'd up and created all sorts of confusion by escorting people in on one side of the building and blockading them on another side. Any persons who were escorted in and then prosecuted are victims of entrapment.
