Haven't fired either of them up yet, but I finally bought Boltgun in the Steam sales after having it on my wishlist for most of the year and then I also bought Layers of Fear because it was only €2 and I might be able to play that with my tennis elbow that's been acting up a storm as of late. Seems slow enough to give the old arm a rest now and then, something Risk of Rain 2 isn't able to do. It's full-on all the time. I don't have high hopes for it, but I need something to get me back into gaming...

I installed a mod that says it decreases stamina drain from sprinting by 75%. Then in the game I noticed almost no difference in sprinting. I looked at the mod page comments and it turns out the author labeled things backwards. Its an easy mistake to make when you are trying to increase how long you can sprint by decreasing stamina usage.
Basically the lower the number is the less stamina usage and the mod author labeled the 75% mod as 25% and 25% as 75%. Also his mod didn't have the drop in repair costs of the latest patch.
Mods in Stalker 2 are stored in .pak files. Luckily someone made a utility for Unreal Engine 5 that unpacks and repacks these files. So I just unpacked it, fixed the ini, and repacked it.

One thing I wish S2 had was an auto-move key. Bethesda games tend to have one and it just saves your finger so much pain from holding down W for hours. Might be possible to set a custom macro or something via keyboard software, gonna check it out. Not so much of an issue on controllers, seems like thumbs are meant for that kind of thing.
*edit* - looks like there might actually be an option to toggle walking, gonna check it out later as well.

Jedi Survivor for $17.49 isn't a bad deal, especially now that they've patched it and fixed most of the issues. Haven't finished it yet but I think it's an excellent game so far, will probably get back to it after beating STALKER 2.

I had that in my shopping basket until I noticed all the required third-party account requirements. Nah, don't feel like installing Origin, thanks...

I still have Mass Effect 1 and 2 on Steam from before EA's app. There was a time EA pulled all of their games from Steam because they wanted to handle their own DLC distribution and probably make it easier to implement microtransactions. Eventually they put them back on, although it requires EA's app (formerly Origin) now. They probably were losing a lot of revenue by not having their games on Steam, so worked out a new deal. Does suck that it requires EA's app but I'm just glad they have the games on there again. It's the same deal with Ubisoft, requires their Uplay app to play pretty much all their games on Steam, including all the Far Cry's.
edit:
Also in STALKER 2, earlier on found some artifact called "Thunderberry" that grants maximum endurance at the cost of maximum radiation exposure. Put a modification on my armor that adds rad protection to the first slot, and now that artifact no longer causes radiation when equipped to there. Have another artifact equipped that gives a small amount of extra endurance and physical protection, with both equipped stamina just about regenerates instantly as long as I'm not overencumbered.
