^Was looking at that. I uninstalled Cyberpunk 2077 (since I've pretty much played/seen 100% of it) but pretty sure more stuff will still need to be deleted. edit - also deleted Borderlands 3 (surprisingly took up 95 gigs) and Resident Evil 4 Remake, might re-install RE4R though cause I do remember still being on a new game+ playthrough and it really doesn't take up much space. As for Asmongold, just don't like the cut of his jib I guess. Kinda don't tend to watch any videogame streamers slash political commentators anyway. Also appears there's other subreddits banning him and his followers, doesn't seem to be any reason other than they disagree with him. Seems to apply to him and anyone who previously posted (even once) on his subreddit. I am seeing something about SJ saying he is smart though, he does seem smarter than the average streamer. Also just remembered this video, this girl does a really funny impression of him: Not sure if she meant to do an impression, but she just kinda happens to resemble him and also there was the eyebrow thing, he does that a lot in his videos. *edit* Also found this earlier: There's apparently a mod that adds AI to Skyrim NPC's and this guy (supposedly) was able to tell one of them that they are in a videogame, and they actually responded to it as if they believed it. There's other videos of him talking to the NPC's, I think he successfully started a witch hunt against an NPC in another video too. But again, not sure how authentic these are. *edit* Found it: I found these over last weekend. I don't know how much of it is authentic AI, but it's pretty funny. There's another funny one where an AI of a young girl tries to swindel him, while he does a Scottish accent. There's more to it, but I won't spoil it for you.

Wow, STALKER 2 releases in 10 days: I'd like to play that at some point. Those original games really impressed me once I got into them. Coming from an FPS background, there was a massive learning curve at first, when you and your equipment are complete dogshit and you think you're still a badass walking tank space marine...

I'm inbetween high and epic for both CPU and GPU, but I'd only need 1080p for my current monitor(s), so it seems like I could go all out.

My specs are also somewhere between high and epic, but I probably won't be playing above 1440p. Hopefully can get away with maxing it out.
A big plus is I do have 32 gigs of RAM, really glad I made that investment back when I did. Very rare that I've seen games use over 16 gigs of RAM but Jedi Survivor is one of those.

I'm hoping it has good HDR support. Its funny. This time last year I didn't give a fuck about HDR, in fact, when I got my OLED I left the setting off at first. Then I turned it on and got it setup and the monitor properly calibrated I was shocked how good it looks. Even in crazy old games with RTX HDR it really adds to the experience To be honest I'm worried that using Unreal Engine 5 it will be a stutter fest. Silent Hill 2 Remake has huge stutter problems even on the best machines, and on the PS5 even. The STALKER team have to be better developers then Blooper team who made Silent Hill 2 Remake but still, stutter seems to be a feature of Unreal 5. My system is i7-14700kf (NOT the 14thgen CPU that eats itself alive but I was seriously thinking about getting it, glad I decided to stick to the "lowly" i7 and not get the i9 4080 Super OC 32 GIGS DDR5 6000 in Dual Channel Gen 4 SSD that does like 7,000 megs a second read If THAT isn't fast enough to run Stalker 2 at 1440p I am gonna be pissed. There are a couple of sections where DATV has bogged down to 60fps, which when you are using Frame Generation looks worse then 60 "real" frames, but that was only with DLAA on, DLSS Quality and its always 100+. I have no problem playing games DLSS Quality. DLAA is just icing on the cake.

Since Stalker 2 supports DLSS you can use OptiScaler to select other methods of scaling the image: github.com/cdozdil/OptiScalerDragon Age supports FSR/XeSS not sure about Stalker 2. OptiScaler has come a long way very quickly and is becoming a drop in to fix a lot of things, even replacing ReShade if all you need is sharpening. One cool thing OptiScaler does is let you change DLSS settings while the game is running, no need to quit, edit an .ini file, and relaunch.

Have a feeling STALKER 2 will be everything that everyone hopes Half-Life 3 would be.
I hope it's at least that good, anyway.

Oh yeah Pro Tip if anyone gets the new Dragon Age.
You find wolf statues in the game, you click A and they turn. You will know it when you see them.
Anyway all I did was click the statue. I figured every statue I clicked unlocked something
....turns out when you click the statue and it turns it faces where you go pickup a free skill point. For some reason I didn't figure that out till like the 5th statue. So now if I backtrack I have to go find 5 skill points I left laying on the ground

Had my first crash in Dragon Age V, said my Nvidia driver failed to respond and recommended reinstalling the driver. Probably a fluke
Also, the story has been fine so far, but there was super cheesy scene, like it was supposed to be cool or bad ass or something but was just all wrong. Made me laugh, the kind of thing that ends up in deleted scenes on a DVD of movies.

There was an anniversary update for Half-Life 2, not sure what all it does but was reading that it adds episode 1 and 2 to Half-Life 2, and they can be accessed from the main menu, otherwise they just load up on their own when playing.

I heard Half-Life Alyx is very much like seeing a glimpse of Half-Life 3, not sure if I want to spend money for a good VR system just for 1 game. There does appear to be a mod that makes it non-VR though: www.moddb.com/mods/half-life-alyx-novrFrom what I've seen of the game, would probably prefer to play it with VR though. *edit* lol launched HL2 after the update and it unlocked 30+ achievements (previously unlocked). Guess with the update, the achievements must have been combined or something. *edit* Wow also looks like someone's working on a Black Mesa Blue Shift: store.steampowered.com/news/app/362890/view/7285229827084255402

People are saying the new CoD Black Ops 6 is amazing. It was worked on for 4 years rather then 3 which is typical for CoD. I haven't bought a CoD game in 10 years. I got Black Ops 3 because it had PC mod tools released.
Since Stalker 2 is releasing in 3 days I think I will pass.

Had no idea that Lynda Carter was in Fallout 4, she portrayed Magnolia and also did singing for several original songs in the game: fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Magnolia

I've never paid so much for a game in my life but thanks to the war I paid $109 for the super deluxe version of Stalker 2. Hope it doesn't suck, even it does suck as long as the mod tools are available I'm sure the community will fix it given time.

My older brother met her in person and got her autograph while he was working at K-Mart (late 80's or early 90's). She was there to promote her line of makeup. He said she was super friendly. About as close as one could get to being the perfect woman and she aged like fine wine compared to most women.

Got pretty far in Dragon Age. I am playing wizard and was going ice at first. Then I kept getting all of these fire items, and then an item that is like +15% fire damage, +45% fire resistance, and your fire resistance is added to fire damage, that seemed pretty strong so I switched to fire.
Rather then go with a subclass I just have points in damage boosts all over the skill tree, its like the Path of Exile skill tree simplified.

My boss just reminded me I have PTO saved up and my company is "use it or lose it" , all goes away on end of the day 12/31 with no roll over. So I am taking tomorrow off so I can mess with Stalker 2/Dragon Age.
Glad I have 1 gig FiOS. I can download the whole game in under 30 minutes I think.

Just got done downloading it, was about to play but then remembered I haven't updated my Nvidia drivers yet.
Will be playing it soon.
*edit* BTW this is one of those games where it has to compile the shaders the first time you launch. I remember having to go through this in Jedi Survivor and Starfield, it actually takes quite a bit of time to finish. Also updating graphics drivers makes these games re-compile shaders again afterward, so it's a good idea to update drivers before launching the game for the first time.
*edit* Only have played the first few minutes so not sure what to think just yet. Right off the bat it defaulted everything to Epic settings and quality DLSS, but turned it down to High settings for better framerate. There don't seem to be any options for raytracing.

Dragon Age has to compile shaders as well. Didn't take very long. I read The Last of Us took like 30 minutes.

One thing I don't like is the motion blur, at max it's way too heavy. Turned down the setting and the strength amount for it, so hopefully it will look better. It's that kind of motion blur where everything gets darker when you turn.
