There was a big ride through the city going past spots with a lot of Christmas lights, 13 miles. I brought my GoPro...........then realized I left the spare batteries at home.
I left the GoPro off and only turned it on at parts I thought might look good. We took 15 minute break so I charged the GoPro with my battery pack. Haven't taken the time to go through the footage yet.

Got super sick the last few weeks, feels like it might be COVID again. Started with a very sore and swollen throat, that went away for the most part but now it's just a lot of congestion and misery, especially when I'm trying to fall asleep. Went to the doctor and they gave me a few things that should help, hopefully won't be much longer. I think it finally peaked over the last few days.
They also gave me some cholesterol lowering medication called Zetia, it's not supposed to damage muscles like statins do. They had actually wanted to prescribe a statin but I refused it, told them I'd rather live with high cholesterol than take a statin. Have a friend who takes one and I've seen how it's just made his muscles more prone to getting sore faster and he's always out of energy. Hopefully that improves for him soon, he used to leave me in the dust when we went biking.

Had a sudden burst of energy after getting over being sick, managed to do a nice little bike ride before it got dark outside. Also rode up some stairs which I have never done before.
*edit* Also been taking a biotin supplement for 6 months now (10,000mcg daily) and can confirm it has helped my hair quite a bit, the back/top used to have a lot of visible scalp through it, but now there's some noticeable regrowth in quite a few places, and there's even baby hairs in the places that are still mostly barren. Hopefully it will keep working (which I actually pray for it to keep working), the person who recommended it has been taking it for years and it did wonders for her.
Another thing is I improved my diet a lot, I make sure to get lots of greens and fiber in my diet and avoid fat/grease as much as I can, also learned how to cook salmon which is one of my favorite things.
*edit* Did find one side effect of taking biotin in large amounts, I have some "fuzz" growing on my face where my cheekbones are, but it's only visible up very close. Not a big deal but it is interesting.

Started taking Taekwondo since my legs are so powerful from mountain biking, figured I should learn how to use them properly. Only been at it a few weeks now but already feels like I have more balance and flexibility, also can lift my legs and kick higher than last week, looking forward to learning more. It's also made me better on the bike, more balanced and confident there as well.
*edit* Also it's a good thing I started taking a martial art, because it keeps raining around here and I haven't been able to go biking since all the trails are constantly mudded out. At this rate, the mountain bike trails around here won't be open again until March (the close ones anyway). I can just about kick higher than my own eye level now, though. Great to have another form of exercise and working out.

And ran into health issues again, inner ear and balance problems. Haven't been able to go biking or really do any kind of physical exercise unfortunately. Did order a set of these for when I get better and can finally go biking again: www.jensonusa.com/Odi-Vans-Limited-Edition-Lock-on-Grips-3Also kinda lost interest in the school I was going to for TKD. It's great and they have awesome instructors and very high-caliber lessons, but the last time I just got this feeling they're just too busy with their current students and don't really have time for me. Probably will look into a different school when I feel better. One thing's for sure, I definitely wasn't able to kick past my own eye-level before, but now I can.

Went ATV riding today, the water was weird, it was green today. Must be something from all the rain we had because normally it's crystal clear and blue...
^^^Oh notice my brand new aftermarket Elka suspension!
My friend got stuck in a swamp in the woods...lol.

Went on a bike ride today for the first time in at least 3 or probably closer to 4 months, rode up and down some stairs, then went pretty far and climbed up a hill. There's a paved path but I went off of it and took advantage of my bike being an off-road bike, climbed up the dirt part of the hill. When I got home ended up puking my guts out, but at least I got some sunlight and pushed myself. Went a lot further than I was expecting, especially considering all the health issues and depression I've been having lately.

I haven't been mountain biking since the end of the season in November, been on a few city rides tho.
Dropped my bike off for the full rear suspension service and level 2 bike service + new chain. $350. Not bad.
Meant to do it back in February when I would have got a huge discount but completely spaced it. Doh.

One thing that really sucks, when the bike/hike trails around here are closed ATV'ers and dirtbikers tend to go on the trails while they're muddy and tear them up really bad. Wish the cities would do more to keep that from happening but they don't seem to care.
