A counterpoint to this would be some people develop seemingly mental symptoms like hers because of anxiety. Back in the early 1990s there were and extremely small group of women who had bad reactions to silicon breast implants, I don't remember the stats but it was way less then 1%. The media started hyping how dangerous breast implants were and all the sudden women started showing up at the ER with all kinds of bizarre symptoms and they Just. Knew. it was because of the breast implants.

Knew. it was because of the breast implants. Beyond the sensory symptoms she mentions early in the video, (if you watch the whole video) they state she was diagnosed with MS (which medical professionals have tests to confirm). So nope, in this case, it's not just all in her head. I've heard of this (rare, but deadly serious reactions to vaccines) happening before. My best friend (when I was a kid) had a next door neighbor who developed a neurological illness immediately after getting the flu shot. A while later, they told me that he died from it. Why dismiss or sweep these cases under the rug? No need to politicize or dismiss anything that doesn't fit your world view. People like this should be taken care of and be allowed to voice their experiences & suffering. Overall, vaccines are good. She said so herself towards the end of the video. But at the same time, she wants people to be aware of her life story & experience (as a covid vax clinical trial test subject).

Yes a small number of people will have a bad reaction to vaccines. This is not new or radical information. If you google you can find a woman who want into severe shock and nearly died from taking a single Tylenol. She needed skin grafts. Stuff like that happens. So what is your point?

The point is more a demonstration of how the left reacts to such cases, even so far as to dismiss facts in order to defend their narrative. She was diagnosed (by medical doctors) with MS and it looks like you're doubling down on it being attributed to mental cases. Also, what's with the insistence on mandates? What happened to "my body, my choice," "healthcare is a personal choice," etc? Chances of death or serious reaction are rare, but that should be well enough to give the benefit of doubt (and the choice) to individual citizens. Afterall, from the left's perspective, it certainly is when it comes to issues like capital punishment. i.e. even the slightest possibility of the verdict being wrong, even when DNA & forensic evidence yield 99% possibility the suspect is guilty, is enough to forgo capital punishment entirely.

Schools have required vaccines for decades, the military has required vaccines for decades. We never would have eradicated Polio or Smallpox without mass vaccination. I actually am all for idiots skipping the vax and dying of COVID, the less people like that the better, one less idiot on the planet. The issue is they spread COVID to other people. Immunocompromised people, the elderly, transplant recipients. Its similar to seat belt laws, also it used to be in the "good old days" if they caught you drinking and driving they would let you sleep it off. Now there are massive penalties, people have actually ended up homeless because of DUI convictions. Drunk drivers kill people just like unvaxxed people kill people.

Now there are massive penalties, people have actually ended up homeless because of DUI convictions. Drunk drivers kill people just like unvaxxed people kill people. I'm aware of that. However, the idea for prior mandates was that children were especially vulnerable, because they lack the ability to make informed decisions for themselves. Covid mandates are a new animal, because they're saying the same logic should be applied to adults - i.e. for the first time, adults can't and/or shouldn't be allowed to make their own healthcare decisions. I'll grant you, the logic for mandating vaccines for children may be the similar for many of the elderly (w/ dementia or mental decline). I could see making the case for forced mandates there. There are other key differences. 1. Covid vaccine, for the first time, skipped right over the normal clinical trials process & timeframe (normally 5+ years). 2. Covid mortality is significantly lower compared to Polio or Smallpox (which had about a 30% mortality rate). The Covid mortality rate to non-senior adults is actually very low. 3. Acquired immunity is far more effective than the vax (see video below). A mandate for people to self-isolate while infected (3-4 weeks, or whatever it is) would make sense though. 4. They're threatening to throw people out of work if they didn't comply with the mandates, which reaks of totalitarianism. a. This could have severe economic consequences. b. Creates distrust and erodes principles of Democracy.etc.

Side note: It's far easier to vaccinate an entire population for diseases like polio and smallpox because everybody saw friends & loved ones dropping like flies around them.
This isn't the case with covid. While I've heard of a couple of family members getting sick with it (out of hundreds of cousins), I've yet to hear of anyone I know actually die from it. Same's true for friends & co-workers I've talked to.
As such, instead of everyone eagerly lining up to get the vax (as they likely did w/ smallpox vax), there are many ppl who resist. Also, "mandates" while threatening peoples' livelihoods, likely strengthens a lot of peoples' resolve to resist getting the vax.

Sorry to hear that. Unfortunately tho, this is further evidence that the Covid vax isn't highly effective. When people got the Polio or Smallpox vaccines, they were immune for life. Also, if we're being fair, vaccinated people (who've never had Covid) can still catch and transmit Covid (at a 6.6X higher rate than people with natural/acquired immunity - see above video). Edit: Point being, even if you've been vax'd, don't let your guard down and mistakenly think you can't transmit covid to an elderly person or "kill people."

It's pretty obvious, looking at these examples, that there's significant differences among viruses. Not always apples to apples.
Admittedly, I'm guilty of this too, since I've compared Covid to flu. The transmission methods and seasonality appears similar to flu anyway.

I agree that vaccines lower risk of serious complications, at least if you don't already have natural immunity. However, natural/acquired immunity has been ignored and not studied, except in places like Israel (outside of WHO and CDC jurisdiction), which I find odd. This morality rate is quite low for something we're supposed to live in constant fear over. 20/100,000 = 0.0002 (or 0.02%) Perhaps covid mortality rates have been dropping and it's becoming more comparable to the flu, including among the unvaccinated. I'd wager more ppl have natural immunity now (to the deadlier strains of covid) and this isn't being accounted for stats & charts (because it's not studied much, or at least rarely reported on, by the WHO or CDC).

"It's all in their heads. Just two more shots and you're good. We'll even pay you to get the shots. btw, we need a court order lock on covid vaccine data for 75 years. Thanks for the billions of $'s and funding 100% our research, taxpayers. We'll keep all the profits though." - Big Pharma + FDA

I have a friend who refused to get the vax, works with people all day. He got COVID in early 2021, then because he is around people all day due to his job he got COVID again in late summer 2021. He thought he had natural immunity since he already had it. He did not. If he would have got the Moderna shot I am willing to bet he wouldn't have caught it a second time.

Probably varies based on the individual's immune system. The vid I linked earlier quoted a study showing 6.6X better immunity for unvaccinated ppl with natural immunity vs vaccinated ppl. Studies are better than looking at one person you know because of the larger sample size in studies. Details matter though. Did the study factor in Delta and Omicron variants? Maybe the vaccines provide better all-around, general protection (compared to just natural immunity) against other variants? Likely, having both acquired/natural immunity + vaccines provide the best immunity. Getting the vax should only boost your antibody count higher. I wouldn't get your hopes up about Moderna vax giving perfect immunity. The data shows that the Omicron variant evades antibodies from all the current covid vaccines in over 70% of vaccinated ppl. That's why we've been seeing another surge, including in countries w/ high vaccination rates. Currently, some of the Scandinavian countries are having the biggest covid surges despite higher vax % rate than most of the world. I stated in an earlier post that Moderna already announced they're speedily working on a new vax to counter Omicron. You know they wouldn't bother with this if the current vaccines were effective at preventing infections against Omicron.

In 2024, most people won't even remember that Trump was on the fence about the vaccine. They will care about the horrendous inflation. Democrats need to get their shit together and focus working on the issues that concern people.

I hate the smell of most perfumes and scented candles. If I had lost my sense of smell from Covid, that would've been a silver lining.
