Got my Moderna booster today. My arm hurts and I am achy just like I expected. I got muscles aches & nausea after getting the flu vaccine early last month. Early last week, my boss called me and informed me that they're requiring employees get the covid vax to comply with the Biden mandate (and it would cost me my job otherwise). So, last Wednesday, I went and got the Moderna vax (1st shot). It hit me like a ton of bricks. Intense migraine and nausea for probably about 8 hours after getting the shot. I tried resting, but that was no help. Then I took a few Advil and starting feeling better. Interestingly, the muscle aches were minor compared to after getting the flu shot. My second day after the Moderna shot was much better with only mild nausea. Yesterday and today, I'm back to feeling normal. I think it was Friday though that corporate/the CEO sent an email saying that they're putting the covid vax requirement on hold due to it being blocked by a Federal court. Oh well.

This booster shot made me feel way worse then the two first shots I got. This is a good thing, it means my body is responding too it. People with weakened immune systems can have no reaction to the vax.
I got up to a 100.5 degree fever. Couldn't fall asleep till like 3 am. I had some crazy fever dream where a TV show was interviewing people who had the booster shot and had like a camera and a microphone in my face and I was like "get out of my apartment I don't want to talk to you people wtf" then I woke up and it was like 5 am, made no sense but it made me laugh.

This is true. A reaction to the vax is a sign that your body is having an immune response and producing antibodies to fight the virus. My parents (in their 70's) had pretty much no reaction to the vaccines, but this is typical for ppl their age. Also, my mother is immunocompromised. That's why health experts strongly recommend booster shots for the elderly and immunocompromised individuals. I don't believe I've ever had a fever in response to any vaccine. However, when I come down with the actual illness (like Covid), I do get a fever. Everyone has a different body chemistry and unique immune systems, so reactions to meds & such can vary greatly.

Some of the memes (other slides) in that link are pretty funny. Unfortunately, the latest data is showing that neither prior infection (acquired immunity) or the vaccines slow the infection rate & spread of the Omicron variant. However, I've read that Moderna is working speedily to tweak their vaccine to protect against the Omicron variant.

lol. Obvious sarcasm, but with a point. It's why you shouldn't force things on people or take away personal choice (in healthcare matters or other things). One day, your political opponents might regain power, abuse their power also, and use your own dictatorial policies & coercive tactics (threatening peoples' employment) to justify & enforce their own brand of politics. Also, forcing ppl to do your will further breeds distrust and division, resulting in many ppl even less willing to participate in what you believe is best (like taking the vaccine or whatever).

Another one of the old dude's videos (see the last video I posted) mentions that the Omicron variant started in South Africa where over 7 million people are infected with HIV (about 7 times as many ppl w/ HIV compared to the U.S., despite the U.S. having much larger population overall).
Everybody should know by now that HIV compromises the immune system. It'd be fair to presume that in the people with HIV, other infections (covid, etc) could infect them for longer periods of time (since HIV typically results in taking longer for the immune system to fight off other infections), allowing the covids more time to mutate and adapt (both to human's natural immune system and the vaccines). So really, it should be no surprise that covid variants mostly pop up in places where ppl are poorer and can't afford better healthcare (where anti-viral drugs to treat HIV and so forth aren't nearly as available, or ppl are too poor to afford them).
