Their loss over $20 I was supposed to get from them. I love when people say "their loss" after saying they won't buy from a big company again. It's like spitting into the ocean, I doubt anyone will notice. lol That said I've pretty much only owned Gigabyte boards for the last 8-10 years or so and I love 'em. Usually go MSI on video cards. Don't underestimate the power of the "word on the street." If you write a review or post something online enough times, potentially millions of people have access to your thoughts. Granted, some people don't read reviews and lots of reviews are fake. But a good many ppl do read them and are influenced by them, for better or worse. Personally, if I see something mentioned often enough, in several reviews (such as opening your MSI laptop voiding the warranty), then I take heed of the warnings.

That's one of the drawbacks of having a truck instead of a car... You get utility and they're built a lot tougher than cars, but you end up spending more on gas if it's your daily driver for sure. My truck gets pretty decent gas mileage for a truck though, 17-18 city and 20-21 highway on average. Depends on how much I get down on the accelerator. I remember when trucks started achieving 20mpg highway, they would advertise it like it was some kind of major breakthrough. The caveat to that is that many new cars these days, including smaller fuel efficient ones, require premium 91 or 93 octane fuel (which can be much more expensive, especially in northern states). While most trucks still use regular 87 octane fuel. The cost differences depend on geography and where you go to buy gas. In states like TN or TX, at Wholesale Club gas stations (Sam's Club or CostCo), you can buy premium 93 octane for only 30-40 cents more than regular... other places you can pay upwards of $1 more for premium fuel. I bought a 4Runner TRD Offroad last month. It averages about 18mpg so far, but I'm not always easy on the gas pedal. My RSX Type-S probably averages mid-20's, but requires premium fuel. So it's hard to say, without tracking it and doing some kind of analysis, which has higher fuel costs. I'm thinking about storing the RSX in the winters and only bring it out to drive when the weather's nice. Not sure if I want to sell the RSX yet. What's amazing - the vehicle is over 14 years old and still worth about $8k according to kbb... it's held about 1/3 its original value! Of course, for winter storage, I'll disconnect the battery (since it has an alarm system that would be otherwise constantly draining power even when the engine's off). Also, I've heard that it's best to keep the fuel tank above the half-way mark, or else your vehicle's fuel lines could freeze during cold weather. Other pro tip for storing a vehicle - fill it gas that has no ethanol (hard to find here in the U.S., I think) or put some fuel stabilizer/additive in the tank. Failure to do so while not driving your vehicle for extended periods can result in the ethanol & water separating out from the gas, which could harm the fuel system and engine. Someone told me a long time ago that even running higher octane gas in a vehicle that doesn't require it is good for cleaning out the cylinders and valves, not sure how true that is. Then again, if you buy fuel cleaner from autozone, it's usually just an octane additive.
I like the 4runners, they are nice. Toyota vehicles are great, known to last very well and be very reliable. I've had my Tacoma for 5+ years now, the only problem it has is some windnoise on the highway sometimes (if it's windy out). I had a Dodge truck before, after just several years of driving it, the suspension started wearing out and the ride got rough. 5 or so years with this Toyota truck, the suspension still feels very smooth. I even have a longer commute to work these days than I did when I had the Dodge.
Tough too, one time I ran over some wood debris on the highway. Was worried I had damaged something underneath, but had it checked at the dealership and they said they didn't find anything wrong. If I had been in a regular car, I'm sure there would have been considerable damage. My truck's got around 1 foot of ground clearance and is only 2wd, but it has some good traction control. I've been over ice and snow (5-6 inches or so, it doesn't snow here often) and through mud, haven't gotten stuck or lost traction once. Then again, I am a pretty careful driver too.
That's another thing. If I am driving behind a truck that's loaded down with cargo, even if it looks secure, I do not stay behind them. Especially around here, there are always trucks and other vehicles losing cargo on the highway and they just keep driving usually.

Some of the gas/oil companies, like Shell, include extra cleaning agents in their premium grade fuel. I've seen it in their ads. imo, I'd just use the regular octane gas (if that's the mfg's recommendation, so you don't lose hp) and fuel cleaner/additive from autozone (maybe every other fill-up).

my SUV gets about 19.3 MPG. Not too bad. 4x4 with remote start and heated seats. Great winter car. I HATE winters in 2 wheel drive sedans.

Even FWD sucks when attempting to drive up inclines in the snow or ice. Last December, I had a nice/pricey set of Michelin performance tires installed on my RSX. Y-rated (complete overkill w/ 186mph speed rating), all-season tires with AA traction rating. The difference in traction is huge and very noticeable, much better than the previous set of tires. Update: Getting better average gas mileage than advertised. My all time combined fuel economy now at 19,000+ miles is 42.3mpg. I wouldn't trade back for my Camaro - love the quick and agile handling of this thing too much and to get similar tech in a Camaro will put you at around 48k. From day one I was getting water in the capless fuel entry. That has finally been addressed by Honda. Basically they added a plastic cover that attaches to the fuel door that covers the fuel entry when closed so that water cant fall into the fuel entry. And with all the rain we've had this summer, it's definitely working. Not a drop of water getting in now.

imo, the Civic Si is probably the best small car for the money. They improved the power & efficiency significantly over the years. Just don't go out and test drive any of the Acura's with the SH-AWD. It's too tempting. I test drove an Acura TLX A-spec with a V6 and SH-AWD. It's handling & acceleration in corners is amazing (for a sedan anyway). Of course, I already have a small sporty car, so I bought a 4Runner instead (for the room/cargo/towing).

Veloster N www.hyundaiusa.com/veloster-nimo, except for the color (shown in the link), it's actually better looking than the Type-R. Its body style is not overly ricified (unlike the Type-R) and the tailpipes at the corners make it better looking than the standard (non-N) Veloster (which has tailpipes placed in the center-rear of the car).

That's unfortunate, but not really all that surprising. I think I remember reading or hearing somewhere a while back that the F-150 is actually the #1 selling vehicle in the entire world. Also Ford is bringing back the Ranger next year, it looks very nice too: www.ford.com/trucks/ranger/2019/

My 2004 Acura RSX Type S (a glorified Honda Civic) pre-dates Honda's "Earth Dreams Tech" and its engine still runs great.
I've watched a few of this guy's videos and he seems honest & knowledgeable. For newer Honda's like your Civic Si, it's probably a good idea to follow his advice and change your oil every 5000 miles w/ full synthetic.

My Honda dealer told me not to listen to the cars computer where it says "Oil life remaining" and to change it sooner!
Also, the longer I've had this car the more I'm liking it. For the first time ever I'm planning on tuning it with a KTuner, I've never bought a handheld tuner before, not even for my Lightnings. I'm planning on getting the KTuner V1.2 since the 2.0 only adds a touchscreen which I'd rather not pay an extra $200 for when I can either use a smartphone or the cars head unit. There's a app that you can install on the factory head unit that runs on Android to display all the statistics like air fuel ratio and flash tunes bypassing the need for a laptop or the V2.0, pretty neat. But yea, I'm thinking this is turning out to be my favorite vehicle yet. I might add some leather covered pieces like the armrests and maybe leather seat covers. The car is fun, easy to drive and park (compared to the visibility issues with the Camaro), handles great, and full of tech and great on gas (I'm actually getting slightly higher than advertised fuel economy). I would like to replace the rear tail lights with something clear (Euro style?) like my Lightning came with stock. Haven't looked into what's availible yet but the rear tail lights is my main complaint with the look of the car....

I rented a Focus for a day and let me tell you they feel very cramped up and tight and where uncomfortable for long trips. My 2017 Civic Si feels like the complete opposite. Very roomy and comfortable feeling. No problem making the same trip and feeling like you didn't drive at all. Comfort is the first thing I notice about a vehicle and the Civic SI is on another level over the Focus as far as comfort and ergonomics is concerned (the Civic feels more mid-sized than compact).

Yeah I am often surprised at the interior space of those small Japanese cars. The Nissan Versa (even the non-sedan model) also looks very small on the outside, but the inside is surprisingly roomy.

Yea, when I stopped that one Friday night and took my SI for a test drive it was an instant sale. Well this kit seems to be the best bang for the buck, the Ktuner V1.2 with the Two Step Performance Stage 1 Tune for free: twostepperformance.com/ktuner-llc-ktunerflash-v1-2-tuning-package/ Free overnight shipping as well! No competition here, the Hondata Flash Pro programmer is $695.00 with just base tunes and the Ktuner with much better TSP Stage 1 with free shipping is only $449.00 so no competition here. So with this I'll have basically six tunes (3 separate tunes, each with one for normal driving mode and slightly boosted more for Sport Mode in the car). They'll be selectable by pressing and holding the cruise control for 3 secs and letting it go then pressing the +/- buttons to select each tune, the RPM gauge will tell you what tune you're selecting (1000 RPM = Tune 1 (nearly same as the stock tune), 2000 RPM = Tune 2 (19PSI Normal mode, 21PSI Sport Mode), 3000 RPM = Tune 3 (19 PSI Normal Mode, 24PSI Sport Mode. Two Step Performance made the tune with the weak stock clutch in mind (milder in the lower end torque, but the best tune for top end pull where the car normally falls flat on its face which I personally have been craving more top end pull). So the cheapest price gets you best performance and everyone on the Honda Civic forums has been very happy with this tune!
Also, there's Ktuner software installed on the stock head unit: Pretty neat and you can flash tunes with the head unit and data log so no need for the more expensive Ktuner V2 with the touch screen ($649). Also, once the head unit is rooted/hacked you can install Netflix, Youtube, etc. and watch movies and videos while driving to increase your risk of a fatal accident even moreso than just driving like a maniac....neato....lol. Thinking after the tuner I would like to get the windows tinted. Definitely won't go with 5% Limo again like I did with my Lightning, too crazy for night driving even though this car has multiple cameras linked to the head units display I'll probably be more conservative and either get 15% or 20%. Would like clear tail lights depending on price and even if they're available.

Flashed the car the other day....
Never thought I'd have the Laptop in the import car Fast and the Furious style flashing custom tunes as this is actually the first time I've ran a custom tune, heh.
Car really livened up! This is how it should of ran from the factory! It's said that this tune is the best bang for the buck for power for your money over every single other bolt-on that you can buy! And wow what a different car! You can be cruising highway speeds in 6th gear and the car will now pick up and go without even having to downshift out of 6th! And gone is the 138mph stock speed limiter..... I'm seeing the full 24psi of boost on the dash that the tune claims and no detonation logging with the Ktuner software! From normal cruising you can get to tripple digit speeds so quick....the magic of power to weight ratio! I don't think I'll require anymore performance over this...heh! What's cool is after flashing the ECU I can now switch between multiple tunes on the fly and set the launch control RPM by just using the cruise control buttons...all on the fly....pretty neat.
And gas mileage didn't seem to be effected in the least bit when driving normally which was a concern!
From work to gas station and gas station to home (1hr combined):
This car is amazing....I can get way over the factory rated gas mileage even when tuned for more performance and I'm kinda the type of person who drives a few MPH over the speed limit, lol. This is the first vehicle that I like more the longer I have it instead of the opposite! The handling, the ergonomics, the tech, and now the performance with the tune makes the car a blast to drive! Thinking what I want to do to it next...window tint...? Aftermarket tail lights...? Rims..?? Add some leather to the interior? Some prostitutes in the back seat?? All of the above? lol...

U can nevar have too much powar... Ludicrous speed! People want bigger & better, they want more power than they need, etc. Consumers' hp requirements go up from year to year. You tuned a car that was already making over 200 hp from the factory. Why stop there. Mohr! You see, that's the joke.
