Also I went to a ripper after the ending played and switched to Gorilla Arms, holy shit. Also specced out of blades into melee. They hit like a truck. I did Gorilla Arms back when I did all the boxing match's in 2021 but I haven't touched them since. I went to an airdrop in Dog Town and people died way faster then with Mantis Blades which is crazy because Mantis Blades are very strong. The only thing is you miss the crazy powerful relic upgrade for Mantis Blades.
I bet I could beat smasher down with the Gorilla Arms.
EDIT: I might actually go do the same ending again with Gorilla Arms just to see how I stand up to smasher with them.

System Shock Remake is getting a huge patch in a few days adding a ton of stuff. One thing people complained about is they had no clue where to go. The Easy mission difficulty now shows waypoints like a modern game in case you don't find the right audio/txt logs. I remember at one point I was stuck and had to double back and check everything, finally found a txt log in a room I had been in before but missed somehow. Then I could progress. Also redid the ending. Very Cyberpunk vibe steamcommunity.com/games/482400/announcements/detail/4104540932632136262

^Oh yeah if you are talking about the ending I think you're talking about, that's also a great ending. {CLICK FOR SPOILER} I think it's that conversation earlier on in the game when that Grayson guy tells where the resting place of Johnny's body is out in those oil fields. Have to pick the right options during that conversation with Johnny out there, something along the lines of telling Johnny "you fucked up" and then "this is your last chance." Then during that conversation on the rooftop, the option for that path opens up.
Yeah thats it. Rather then wait and wait I just used the console to make sure the right variable was set. Oh yeah I felt kinda like a dick {CLICK FOR SPOILER}I completely forgot you could save Takemura, the mission where they break in and he dies is the first story mission I played after a long break from CyberPunk. I just ran out of the door. Then way later when the ending was playing I realized he wasn't there. My first playthrough with QuickHacks back in like 2021 I actually rescued him and did the Arasaka ending so he visited me in the spacestation The thing about...
{CLICK FOR SPOILER} ...saving Takemura, he turns into an asshole if you don't pick the Corpo ending and wishes you death in his last call during the end credits. He is different in the Phantom Liberty endings though, not wishing death but just being confused about why V disappeared on him and Hanako.

Looks like there is a sidequest that expands on the story of Cynosure but I completely missed it. Doh.

There's these different "stances" in Jedi Survivor and one later on has blaster + lightsaber (blaster in left hand and lightsaber in right), and it's very effective. Most enemies can't counter the blaster and take direct hits, then if they get close the lightsaber attacks are very effective. Very fun.
*edit* Found some interesting things.
{CLICK FOR SPOILER} There's a character called "Skoova Stev" and he appears to be a reference to Scuba Steve from that movie Big Daddy, he even resembles the character a little. Also there's a cross-guard lightsaber that unlocks later, very similar to Kylo Ren's lightsaber. Does a lot of damage at the cost of slower attacks, but it's a great weapon. I've found that it can defeat even tough enemies and bosses quickly.

I finally tried Vampire Survivors. Very cheap and I hear its crazy addictive.
You try to survive a rogue-like run attacking enemies. Upgrades in the run don't carry between runs but you collect gold which unlocks permeant powerups.
I just knew the max a level goes is 30 minutes....somehow my 3rd game ever I got to 20 minutes....then 25. I couldn't believe it.
At 29:00 minutes nothing was hurting me.
....at 29:30 all the sudden every single free space was covered by enemies. I desperately tried to find an empty spot but couldn't
Died at 29:49. 11 seconds from winning. Doh. There is a powerup that will respawn you and another that reduces damage. If I had that I would have won.

lol I managed to break Cyberpunk 2077, can't continue without reloading a previous save. I haven't been playing much since I got the couple different endings I wanted, and respecced to Gorilla Arms, decided to test something. I remembered I made a manual save in the horror section of the game: {CLICK FOR SPOILER}Inside the Cynosure facility there are a couple ways to get the second half of the mission. I went through the vents. I saved right before you drop down and Songbird yells "RUN V!" and the robot chases you to the door.
I reloaded and tried jumping onto a ledge, the robot says "Suicidal bravado? Who you trying to impress?" then you insta die. The game won't let hide or jump onto any high ledges.
My OS is Berserk not slow motion. I can't die while Berserk is on, I also have the EMP ability.
Anyway I went to the end of the hall where the robot chases you but instead of going into the room I stood my ground.
The robot slowed down and went into search mode. I hit my OS and started attacking it with my Mantis Blades even tho I know you can't hurt it.
My EMP went off and hit it........and it just sat there.....so I went in the room...........door won't close....
I'm just sitting there next to the robot and its not moving just twitching.
Also, I can't close the door behind me. Softlocked.
Welp, Cyberpunk is still buggy I guess.

Welp, Cyberpunk is still buggy I guess. lol that same thing actually happened to me too, I ended up at a save point in that same area where I was just instantly dying upon loading. Also broke the game once by hacking one of the new vehicles from the 2.0 update, it caused the car to just not let me enter it and other things. Had to go way back to fix it.
Another time it somehow saved after my character died and it kept loading up to nothing. Had to exit to the main menu to fix it and go to an earlier save.

Fired up Fallout 76 again after a long time, still has that sound issue where the surround channels get swapped around. Even with 2 channel audio it seems to have the problem. Found a fix on Reddit that involves adding some lines to an ini file for audio and it actually worked, but after exiting the game it reverts it.
The game itself still feels the same but the graphics look a little better. *edit* and it told me my CAMP is over-budget when it wasn't last time I played. Always a pain when this happens, only way to fix it is just to scrap stuff.

Just saw it was from 1994, wow. Never heard of it. Might have to check it out. Old games can be very hit and miss. Some of them are still fun, others are painful to play.

I wouldn't watch any videos on Cyberpunk quests if you are planning more playthroughs. I thought I had seen everything but nope. Waaay more stuff I didn't find at 200+ hours and two full playthroughs.

Is it not playable or something? I heard Starfield had game breaking bugs on release, but wasn't aware that BG3 did. I guess there's still a worry, since you mod your games, that a patch might break the game with mods and you might have to uninstall/reinstall everything. Many games (including Indie and classics) I've played in years past have soft-lock bugs and few had hard-locks. Cave Story+ had that shit, where if you choose a path the dev didn't intend you to choose, you can soft-lock the game and advance no further. It wasn't obvious that there's a predeterminced path (not a Metroidvania-style game) either, so it was a game design flaw.

Is it not playable or something? No its not about bugs, the developers keep adding massive amounts of content to the game post launch. Baldurs Gate 3 was the surprise hit of 2023, the conventional wisdom is CRPGs are too niche for widespread appeal, however for some reason people who never played a real hardcore CRPG in their lives got into BG3. I have stated on here before I got Dragon Age Inquisition launch day and I really wish I waited 6 months - 1 year to play it because they fixed and changed so much stuff. Like they are on patch 7 of BG3 and they are completely changing the endings, the game has been out since last August so that should tell you commitment of the developers.

As for mods the only mods I was going to use in BG3 was Native Camera Tweaks: www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/945and also a mod that that lets you move with WASD. Apparently makes the whole experience a lot like the Dragon Age series and are the only two "must have" mods for most people

I did the "secret ending" in CyberPunk and I think its my favorite now. {CLICK FOR SPOILER}If anyone could actually cure V its Mr. Blue Eyes and his "friends". Since he is a combo between The Illusive Man from Mass Effect and the GMan from Half-Life. Part of me wants to start a New Game Plus in Cyberpunk where I keep my items but lose my levels and such, it can be done via mods. I'd probably burn out quick tho. The only graphic mod Cyberpunk really needs is fixing the black levels with HDR on. With HDR on the black levels aren't quite black, unless you use Iliums Black Levels fix ReShade shader, which is the only graphics mod I have installed. Looks like a new mod released at the end of last month that completely fixes all of Cyberpunks rendering issues including black levels. I just found out about it today. It uses ReShade as a delivery system but no reshade plugins: www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/13912?tab=descriptionSeems pretty cool, just don't know if I want to bother with it now.

I was thinking of doing a male V and romancing Panam, then I got the crazy idea. What if I did a New Game Plus with all my current stuff and raised the level cap to 100 so I could literally unlock everything?
The game glitches out if you use mods to raise the level cap, merchants won't sell you anything, but there are multiple mods to fix that.
It would suck if I started a new playthrough and somehow my savegame glitched out but meh. I've already experienced a ton of the game so no biggie.

One thing I really miss doing is scaling up buildings parkour-style and exploring them, always found interesting things. Unfortunately they nerfed the leg cyberware that used to let you hover on a double jump. Can still do stuff like that, it's just harder.
*edit* Been playing New Vegas again, had 30 hours on it a long time ago and was modded but can't remember what mods I had. Playing the game vanilla and it's fine although there's some things that could be better. Keep trying to hit hotkeys like "i" for inventory and "m" for map but they don't do anything, things like that but no big deal. Still as good as I remember.
I heard people were criticizing the show for not featuring New Vegas and the NCR, but they were actually both referenced in it.

I did a playthrough of Fallout 3 and NV back to back. There is a mod that ports Fallout 3 to the New Vegas engine. I did a ton of mods.
One mod I liked, there are multiple types of Plasma ammo in the game. I used a mod that put a converter in an abandoned building that would convert between the different types of cells with a 20% loss. Little things like that.
I also ran a couple of mods that added a ton of random encounters to the game. One used resources from the game, the other used all new models, those models weren't quite as high quality so the NPCs stood out a bit but didn't bother me.

Yeah I read they are delaying the Fallout 4 London mod because of that. About a month or so just for fun I installed Fallout 4 just to see how it ran on my new PC...........and was greeted by a black screen. Turns out anything >60 FPS kills Fallout 4 which is ridiculous in 2024 so I'm glad they are patching it.

The Fallout The Frontier fiasco was a massive clusterfuck that damaged the reputation of the Fallout 4 modding community a bit. There were some weird sex sidequests that offended some people but you had to really dig to find it. The "I'll suck your cock for 5 caps" girl was easy to find on a NCR playthrough. It was also very fun running at like 15-25 fps in a couple sections. I was debating doing another playthrough and playing the Caesar/Legion side which apparently is actually very well written. Unfortunately due to the backlash about the mod a bunch of people asked for their content or voice acting to be removed so the latest version on Nexus has stuff removed. I just found out there is a mod that restores almost everything that was removed: www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/71729I am really curious how well it would run on my new PC. Like if it bogs down to 15 fps again on a 2024 Intel and a 4080 Super I am going to laugh. My backlog is going to just keep growing if I don't play some new games tho
