Yo people, Ive been gone from here (well the old place) for a good 10 years or more... But I have a lot of cool memories  Still, Im having a hard time trying to remember everyone, and everyone's names and faces... I dont know what happened with everyone all this time, or the people that aer not here, but itd be nice to know... The NC kids lmao. Trip was first, I joined a couple months after trip. Stryker was initiated maybe a year or two after that, later changed name to Lollan. Sphinx, cbslabel, bloodycape, montero, ice, and probably a handful more that maybe posted once or twice. Trip was actually the only one of us that posted on the old 3Dfx boards. Can't remember exactly when SCMB started up but I remember that I joined in either November or December 2000. Would have been 14 years old. Turning 31 this year. Wow.

I don't remember rage quitting for any reason. It's possible though as my memory isn't as good as it used to be. I remember the Punky Brewster fanboy rage quitting, and I remember Ambience got in trouble more than a few times. I quit (in my head) because the group was dying due to technology changing and Slacker getting tired of moderating the forum. Personally, I'm not a bad administrator myself. I own a facebook page with 12,000 people in the group.

Certainly not into computers anymore like i used to, but sometimes toying with the idea of building a dream early 2000’s rig and playing games I couldn’t afford back in the day.
Also not constantly looking for a distraction constantly like i was back in high school when i would post here, or maybe i am with social media replacing forums.
Anyway, neat little walk down memory lane here.

Early 2010 my top-of-the-line-in-2007 gaming desktop died. My job had bought me a ridiculously expensive laptop which ran games fine. I used that instead and since then ever 3-4 years I just buy a new laptop. Been on the fence building a desktop again. 13 years since I owned a desktop computer. Never thought I would say that. lol. |
