Yo people, Ive been gone from here (well the old place) for a good 10 years or more... But I have a lot of cool memories  Still, Im having a hard time trying to remember everyone, and everyone's names and faces... I dont know what happened with everyone all this time, or the people that aer not here, but itd be nice to know... People I remember that are not here (i think) Hydra Scott Scott's friend (cant remember the name/nick, asian, diplomat's son, real cool guy) The NC kids (Striker and the original one that started with a T...) The rest is still missing in action. Pretty sure Hydra is on my Steam friends list, but I have no idea under what name... Maybe Ruiner is him. If I ever see him online I'll be sure to ask. Itsnoot is on there as well. I don't know if anyone bothered to tell him about this place yet. Dropping him a line right now.

Glad you found your way here. Shit's been crazy in mostly a good way over the last decade. I traveled a lot, bought a house, single and mingling, and I'm still playing guitar. I just got a 7 string JP Majesty last year. You got me into Dream Theater, and they have been my favorite band for a long time.  Trip / TripleXXX was the original NC kid. Angryduck was Scott's friend. Can't believe I remember that. |

I remember PD being teased for being Company Man, then was sad that he had been laid off during the rough economy. For some reason that really hit home.
At the behest of others, I'm doing well. I'm happy in my career, I'm healthy, I've gone through some personal growth in the last five years and have settled into a good rhythm with who I want to be as a person and what I want to do with my life. I look at every day as a gift and learning experience. I'm still a punk and enjoy the ribbing and back and forth that the old school people give me. I miss Sabbz, he was one of the few people who actually got my brand of humor and threw it back at me.

Trip was first, I joined a couple months after trip. Stryker was initiated maybe a year or two after that, later changed name to Lollan. Sphinx, cbslabel, bloodycape, montero, ice, and probably a handful more that maybe posted once or twice. Trip was actually the only one of us that posted on the old 3Dfx boards. Can't remember exactly when SCMB started up but I remember that I joined in either November or December 2000. Would have been 14 years old. Turning 31 this year. Wow.

I used to post on their forums back in like 2010 under a different name and wrote my first article for them but I never got around to trying to add it to ED as I didn't think it was good enough. I lost interest pretty quick. |

I dunno how you managed to get to be an admin at ED. I got it because I was, if I say it myself, a pretty damn gewd EDitor who put in work; one of the main pleasures was that I was doing it at work, the filters weren't as tight back then and I could hop on a proxy easy enough... Seem to remember I got fucking saran-wrap {{offended}} and blocked after two edits; that was fun popping up on the screen in an open office, luckily no speakers lol! After that little hiccup from there on in I just plugged away to kill time/boredom on shift - I work with phone/computar and nights can drag like a bitch. Ended up nominating myself for EDitor (AdminLite) after a while just to make editing/trolling easier, got approved and then was eventually kicked upstairs. After a couple of years I got kinda bored and just drifted away, can't even remember my password/email for it now. I used to post on their forums back in like 2010 under a different name I think I posted on the forums once - I stuck to the job and avoided petty/personal shit, all article based - avoiding the place seemed like the best way of avoiding any problems for yourself. (I wrote) but never got around to trying to add it to ED as I didn't think it was good enough. I wrote about dirtywhiteboi67 who is this crazy person who runs a blog where she cyberstalks transmen(women who want to take testosterone and transition to male) and publicly berates them.....even tho she herself uses the name "boi" and is more masculine then 90% of men(btw she says she is NOT masculine she is butch) Pretty much one of the strangest blogs I have ever seen and see seemed like a prime ED lolcow. The days of the Slaxboro Spam Exchange! I remember being introduced to this forum when Trip, Stryker aka Lollan and Maniac were in a networking class with me. Drifted away from it for a while because of life and shit but I would come back every now and then to lurk. Glad it's back up and running and I can be an active poster again! On a side note, I have been roommates with cbslabel for over three years now. He works as and IT Director for several Whole Foods in the area and I'm a Web Developer. Recently cbslabel got engaged and we'll be parting ways soon. It's crazy that we've all still stayed in contact through the years and this forum links us all together. |
