Interesting video about China & Taiwan history. Apparently, Democratic Taiwan has embraced progressive liberalism.
If/when Communist China (the CCP) takes them over (by force, militarily), they'll wipe out (persecute and murder) the liberal progressives in Taiwan. Tell me I'm wrong.

There's a reason I used the metaphor "slippery slope." I wasn't defining Communism. Also, Communism and Socialism are different systems, which is why I separated those out in my post. Maybe you got triggered because you have a certain fondness for (how you would define) Communism. I wasn't suggesting there can't be some version of reality where Communism is a Utopia... perhaps someday AI overlords (we create) or Insect-like alien overlords (invasion) take over (supplant our civilization) and make it a reality.  You think I'm a Communist? I'm actually not but would be a cool idea if people could get it to work. I actually read someone say all the new IRS agents that are going to be hired is "socialism". The word is tossed around too much. |

The word is tossed around too much. imo, it doesn't work as well as decentralized or Democratic governments because (with Communism) too few ppl have all the power and the saying "absolute power corrupts absolutely" rings true. You can say that's oversimplification and it probably is (when looking at a blueprint/paper version for ideal Communism). But then I could argue human nature throws a wrench into the equation (in practice) and makes it that simple. I do think it's possible some other form of (non-human) intelligence could make Communism work and, for all we know, there's some alien civilizations in the vast universe that have done so. |

My final conclusion is that mankind's greatest mistake was giving up the freedom of the masses to the few and the masses should disband all governments worldwide who are all, every single one of them, corrupted and take our freedom back and kinda restart society with a fresh new system that doesn't reward corruption or tyranny like it does now.

Oil and gas prices are at highs and the west aren't Russia's only customers. Russia is more than happy to sell the oil we don't buy to China, India, etc. Also, the Russian ruble has been trading at all time highs against the $. Way to go Joe, giving a major economic boost to Russia while stifling our own economy. We're on the brink of WWIII with Russia and China. Even if Biden isn't the weakest president ever, our enemies certainly perceive him as such. |
