Just did this squading with Maniac. They killed everyone but me and didn't poke their head into my building to finish me off. They regret that now:

I got an itch to play Diablo 3 this week. Before now I only ever leveled up a Wizard and that was only to paragon 20 or so. I bought the necro pack, toyed with the necro for a Act 1 before I got bored with him and started a Crusader. Took him up to 70 and pushed up to paragon 54. He is absurdly indestructible while soloing. Stack thorns and damage reduction, spam hammers, watch bad guys drop. I was running solo in 4 man master difficulty and rarely saw the health globe even dip, let alone go critical. He still hasn't died, I should have made him a hardcore. Single target damage is pretty shit though. Messing around with a monk now which has the exact opposite problem, all single target and no AOE. *shrug*

I did the thorns build with the Pigsticker/Hack as a weapon. Almost indestructible till I hit a wall at GR80 requiring play with a ZDPS. At this point I had enough gear to go to LoN Bomb which dominated the Leaderboards and was only missing 1 or 2 pieces to make it damn near perfect..................then I burned out hard. Never got around to finishing that guy. LoN Bomb really is the best Crusader build tho. Nothing beats its mobility and DPS.

I can't get that obsessed. I mostly just experiment with skills and build with gear I find, which is a ton more than I ever found playing in D2. I just noticed Season 11 is starting soon. I've never done one and am considering playing with it. The crusader reward set looks boring as hell skills wise so now I'm not sure what class to play. Everyone and their mom will be a necromancer no doubt. Maybe I'll do the wizard.

Well... I played D2 a lot if you recall. Like, a lot. Honest, until this week I never even started in Adventure Mode.

Damn haha
I had two squad games in a row yesterday where I wiped an entire squad by myself. First one was just me and cbslabel (aka chawken) left and I spotted a dude a few buildings down so I went to closer to him to get some intel while cbslabel stayed back to watch my back. He gets ambushed by three dudes and killed quickly, guy I was stalking runs out of the building (he was on the same team as the 3 dudes) and I double barrel him to death. I run towards where chawk died and see a guy, round the corner and down him but I get pinned down by another. I do a little healing while playing the waiting game, at one point I figure dude is getting his friend up. I go back around the corner and they literally just finish the rez as I empty the doublebarrel on them and down them both. I'm reloading as I see the tip of dude 4's helmet running over the wall next to me. As soon as he rounds the wall I shot both barrels into him and he falls.
Second one was a bit more intense. Had a scar with 30 rounds in Pochinki. See guy run into 2 story building and follow him in. I down him before he knows what happened. His buddy was really close, hear him come in and I unload again. 8 rounds left and guy #3 runs in, luckily 8 was all I needed but now I have 3 down dudes in my room and the fourth is surely on the way. Pull out 1911 and execute all 3 of them and take one guys shotgun as I hear #4 coming up the stairs. Find a hiding spot as he bursts in and double barrel him.

I just hit 70 on my Necro, and am going to try the GRifts for the first time since all the updates. It should be a fun time. I've also been playing Lego Dimensions, I've had the game for about a year now, but have only played a little bit while amassing tons of level packs from various sales. I need to get them out of their boxes and into my little storage totes.

That's awesome man, how did you get in with that crowd? haha Well I stumbled onto Fata1lty on accident. He just started on twitch a couple of months ago. He groups with Thresh every once and a while. Today their 4th dropped and he said he was looking for a 4th player so I was just like ME ME ME! The 4th guy rounding out the squad is ranked 15th in the world NA solo. So yeah I was trying really hard not to be the weakest link.

Yesterday the kid and I played way too long with this silly Playstation Move game that I bought second hand for €3. It's called something stupid like Sports Championships or Sports Champions, yeah, the second one I think, it came on the Move controllers demo disc as well. Anyway, it's a Move game with things like Table Tennis, which is fun or Archery (pretty dumb) but the one we invested quite a bit of time (and energy (literally)) in was this Arena battle game. It's basically gladiators, you have a sword and a shield and have to kill the other guy or knock him out of the ring. The harder you swing, the harder the blows. I was sweating my ass off in the tournaments. They became really intense. My arm still hurts today, lol.
I also played Sega Bass fishing with the Move controller. ROFL, WTF? This actually is a game people paid full price for once upon a time???

Yes, that's the one. I figured for €3 I couldn't go wrong (the price of a sandwich) and so far it's already been worth the money and the youngest hasn't even seen it yet. He'll love the hack and slash. It'll probably cost me a controller when he gets his hands on that, lol.
Don't see myself playing it again after my vacation is over though. Lifespan of a few weeks at the most...

haha so I was duoing and camping a hill. My friend and I both had 8x scopes and suppressors. Waaaay off in the distance behind a rock we see two guys. Their back is against the wall and they have ZERO cover between them an us. They have to come at us at some point.
We fire round after round tagging a few times. Finally realizing the situation they just turn and hauled ass into out of bounds and died, thus robbing us of two kills.

Moar Diablo 3. Switched back to wizard and pushed to Paragon 115. Started running Greater Rifts after farming up a bunch of keystones. Torment 1 is a joke, not sure why I've never tried it before. The game doesn't even start to get challenging until around GR15 or so. No clue what Torment level that is but I can say its starting to "feel" like Nightmare difficulty on old D2. Bad guys are smarter. Their AOE does more damage and they have tricks to pull/trap you into their puddles of death. Still not hard yet, at least not in single player. I'd play more multiplayer but everyone seems to solo in multiplayer games anyway. What use are monk/crusader auras if no one wants to party up? *shrug*
Season starting this weekend. Still figuring I'll do it, still haven't decided what character to play.

Once you are completely geared and have Despair gems in your gear you will hit a wall around GR75-80 where you NEED to play with other people to make any real forward progress. You use a Zero DPS(Zdps for short) player in your group and they use nothing but healing/buffing skills. Just like any other RPG. It gets very difficult to do anything without a good group. I recommend when you are comfortable start playing Hardcore. It makes the game much more fun and in Guild channel when someone dies it says "PlayerX has died after X days, X hours, X minutes. Their deeds will live on" or something similar.

I'd offer to group up with you because I'm thinking about getting in on this season, but I'm going on vacation next Monday and will be away from the computer for a week. I have some time to kill Friday morning though if you want any group gaming. I mainly like going through the season achievements and rewards, I don't so much care about progressing or number crunching but I do enjoy the mindless hack and slash.

I'll be at work that morning but I'm sure I'll be going crazy on it when you get back. I've almost committed to the monk after discovering exploding palm. I cant imagine a monk build without it. I've gotten better but it's definitely not on auto pilot. That's actually a plus, wizard and crusader are just a mow down sleeper for me. I appreciate the strategic feel of monk play I just worry about the ability to do speed runs for those seasonal achievements. My wizard is FAST. When you get back I can power level you farming rifts if you want, heh. I don't remember my battle tag (itsnoot # ?), I'll post it later.

I feel bad, I swares I wasn't cold shouldering you. My kid decided he wanted a go at the game last night and popped his own money to buy a copy on my second PC. I kept it just him and I tonight while he was getting his feet wet. I didn't want to bother bringing you in on a 3man and slow you down. There was a lot of teaching going on but I think he's getting there.
