I played a little more of Doom, the more of it I play, the more it reminds me of the classic games. If you don't own it, it's free this weekend.

Doom is a fantastic game. I got to the last boss but haven't managed to kill him. {CLICK FOR SPOILER}I was happy the Spider Mastermind is the last guy not the Cyberdemon. I have always liked the Spider Mastermind more.

Cranking on Diablo 3 Season. Did roll a monk. I have every piece of the Shenlong/Rainment build shown on Icy Veins except the jewelry - and even there I have very functional items in slot. I am a WRECKING CREW. Holy balls this build is like trying to hold onto lighting,I swear it's almost button mashing and watching it fly. I rammed up to GR35 last night and haven't felt any kind of ceiling so far. I see monks are up in the GR90s already, which isn't as insane to me as them also being Paragon 1K. Also acquired several pieces for the Inna support build to try and PUG into some 4 mans. Do drops get better in the Season or am I getting better at gambling?
Ambi, what character are you playing? I've been seeing your account on but haven't messaged the Necro I know your kid was on.

hehe so some high ranking people in PUBG have been going onto the servers where they have no rank and owning up.
What it does it sorts you with people who have never played the game before. I joined the SEA server and I got 13th place first game and I won my 2nd match. When it was down to 1v1 the other dude I was against choked hard. He just hid. No strats, didn't even lean-fire.

GR45 brought a reality check. Ranged attacks hurt. A lot. Mallet Lords kill in one hit, it actually made me laugh the first time I saw it. Been trying for Unity rings forevaaahhhh and getting no where. I could probably press up further if I wanted to but I think I'll dial back and hit some conquests.

New season of PUBG launched tonight. Meaning they wiped all stats.
I have played two games. Got 9th and 4th. This put me at rank 600......which quickly dropped to 800, now 1,000 as I have kept hitting refresh.
Pure anarchy. They are resetting the seasons once a month now so you won't have long as top dog.

I feel bad, I swares I wasn't cold shouldering you. My kid decided he wanted a go at the game last night and popped his own money to buy a copy on my second PC. I kept it just him and I tonight while he was getting his feet wet. I didn't want to bother bringing you in on a 3man and slow you down. There was a lot of teaching going on but I think he's getting there. Yeah no worries! My girlfriend's daughter actually ended up playing more than I did before I went on vacation, then I swapped out video cards for an upgrade and that ate a lot of my time. I might pop in and out a bit during the next couple of weeks, but I have some certification training I need to do that will suck up my time this season, plus a move into a new house. Adult shit sucks sometimes.

Diablo 3 all day. I've sorta gone bananas because I've clocked 130 hours just on this seasonal character. I might have taken Maniac's cue and made a thread if more people than me were playing it haha. I've reached Paragon 650 and GR70. All I need is GR75 to get a conquest and the stash tab but I think those last 5 are going to be rough. Swapped to Inna set over the monk generator build. Much tougher, I don't feel as squishy. Gems up at 70, lots of ancient pieces and 70 still feels like a wall. I just learned about augmentation though so that might push me over. If I finish the season journey I'll take a break. These fools pushing 90+ in GRs must be on crank cause I don't have that kind of time to dedicate.
Oh. Plus side of working Inna is collecting the support monk pieces too. All I need is Little Rogue and I have the cookie cutter zdps build set up. If only I had 3 other people to play lol.

I cranked up D3 for the first time in about a year last week. Made a seasonal necro just to fuck around with it. Had an awesome item that increased my missile attack by like 400% and was destroying everything, but then I accidentally exchanged it for an item with "better" stats and apparently got rid of it. :-(

At the high end Diablo 3 becomes a team based RPG. You can get a full LoN set and make it up to maybe GR90 depending on class but eventually you hit a solo wall. I'd be down to play D3 but Path of Exile just released their huge 3.0 patch. It has 10 full acts now. Very similar game to Diablo 3 but completely free. I have 167 hours in it and I am having a blast. When you burn out on D3 I recommend trying Path of Exile. Also I find Diablo 3 is much more fun in Hardcore mode. The risk is much greater obviously but it makes it more satisfying to hit the high grifts and you haven't died once.

Just got the last piece of the zdps support monk setup last night. Going to tweak the enchants and power up the gems this afternoon. I read on the webs that groups like support monks like fat kids love cake. So whats the process for jumping in? Any of you have a community to recommend that wont demand specific play hours out of me?

Finished the D3 season journey. Here's what I cracked GR75 solo with to do it: www.d3planner.com/928059667The only season step I was carried on was T13 Urzael in 20 seconds. Sorry, monks just dont put out that kind of damage. Time for a new game. Maybe I'll go finish Fallout 4...

Diablo 3 is a lot of fun but after putting in hundreds of hours into it I really need to feel the drive on a season. I don't even know if I am still a member of the same clan I was before its been a bit. PoE is a lot of fun but doesn't have the same immediate gratification of the seasons journey unless you count filling out the Atlas.

Just started Horizon Zero Dawn (bought it on sale about a month or so ago for $20) on the PS4 Pro and also playing Until Dawn on the PS4 (also bought on sale for $20). The baseline gameplay of Zero Dawn is a blatant rip-off/spin-off of Rise of the Tomb Raider. I think it might even have better graphics that Rise on the PC. The PS4 Pro is a worthy gaming machine, and that's coming from a PC master race. Until Dawn is pretty cool. I've been missing good horror movies and this game is just like playing a horror movie.

Yeah, like, so I started this little unknown game yesterday by the name of Half-Life. Graphics suck but it's pretty cool I guess Seriously, I started playing HL again. Not even Black Mesa, straight up old-school HL. Wanted to get the kid involved but he gave up after only 20 minutes so I said fuck this, I'll play it myself, and I have been doing just that, 7 hours already to be exact. Plan is to replay the entire saga...

Jebus, I'd forgotten how fucking awful that Nihilanth endboss was in Half-Life. In the end I had to look up how to defeat him and even then I had to hit quickload more times than I could count. Just awful. Rest of Xen I can live with (it's not that long) but that end battle is beyond annoying...
Oh well, on to Opposing Forces...

I'm hoping Valve is being like Blizzard was with Starcraft 2, and just not saying anything about Half-Life 3. Then one day it'll be announced out of the blue.
*edit* Oh yeah, I started playing TES IV Oblivion again. I think it's overall a much better game than Skyrim.

? Man. Skyrim was amazing. IS amazing. Oblivion was a pain to me. I felt penalized for playing my chosen skills and always felt the pressure to level up my off skills. Detracted from the flow of the game. Super annoying.

Skyrim is awesome but I felt like the quests in Oblivion were a lot richer and more thought out. Especially the quests for The Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood. Also being able to go through those portals to Oblivion, that element was something I missed in Skyrim.
As for the skills, yeah it is pretty tedious to level up by having to do certain things. I remember I got Sneaking to 100pts by rigging my W key so it was stuck down, while "sneaking" non-stop into a wall/corner inside people's homes while they were asleep. Then I'd just leave it like that and come back after a while.

I was so hyped I preordered it and played every day after work for like a month. Did a ton of side quests and a few oblivion gates then lost interest and never went back. There are some amazing mods people have been working on for years they completely fix and rebalance the whole game. Been meaning to get around to it for years.

I've been wanting to get some mods, definitely something that improves draw distance of stuff. Got the collector's edition of Oblivion when it first came out, came with a replica of a Septim (coin) from the Elder Scrolls universe. It looks very authentic and even feels heavy, not sure what it's made of. Cop as for Half-Life, I think that's one of the best games ever. I remember back when I first played it, was hands down the best game ever. Also I first played Counter-Strike when it was just a mod for HL1.

I've been wanting to get some mods, definitely something that improves draw distance of stuff. There is a huge mod called Obscuras Oblivion Overall(OOO) that gets high marks and another huge mode that combines OOO and a bunch of other mods. People rave about it and it makes the game tons better, I just haven't taken the time to try it. Might be the next thing I stream on twitch.

This right here FCOM Convergence is an insane mod that combines OOO and a ton of other mods together so you don't have to pick and choose. A ridiculous amount of work went into it and people swear by it. www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/12249/?

Also I first played Counter-Strike when it was just a mod for HL1. Yeah, we did that too. We had LAN parties back in the day and it seemed like every time we had one, CS had changed somehow until they finally ironed out all the bugs and balanced the gameplay. I still remember one where the guns that were dropped from previous fights remained on the ground, so every game was a rush towards those guns, lol... Anyway, completed HL1, opposing force and blue shift and already made it through the canals in HL2. I'm starting to remember why I used to love these games and gaming in general. They really were better in the old days. I enjoy not being told what to do all the time, like too many modern games do, with some voice in your ear contantly guiding you...
