I havent played Star Wars The Old Republic since like Sept 2015 so for shits and giggles I am downloading the latest version to see what has changed.
The free to play option kinda blows but I am just curious what they changed. Don't think I am gonna reup.

I bought that the day it released and played for about a month. Its a continuation of the story of KOTOR1/KOTOR2 so I have only ever played it for the story. Don't give a shit about epic loot or raids or PvP or whatever. Just the lore.

I've been tempted to revisit EVE Online, but I already know what's gonna happen... I'll play for a bit and then cancel my sub.

Well I found out if you ever subbed to SWTOR it grandfathers you on premium features even if you don't pay. One thing it did do is take away a bunch of my money and put it in escrow till I resub lol. Not planning on buying anything so who cares.
I was like an hour away from the end boss of the quest line I was on before I quit last time.
Its a lot like playing KOTOR cept it forces you to do a bunch of silly MMO stuff before you can get to more of the story. I'm level 65 but its limiting my level to 62 so I am not too powerful for the zone I am in

Also my guild had like 50 people online last time I played.............totally dead now. I was the only person on. The last message said "Hey lets get the guild back to its former glory! Everyone has invite privileges now!"
No idea if there is still a guild house or a guild ship or whatever.

Ghost Recon Wildlands [PS4] - Unpatched to date but still enjoying it, I've yet to break the 500m mark sniping (mostly been a sneaky stealthy bastage & use AI for clearing paths) but I got a new rifle the other day that looks like it might cut the mustard... although I think I'm gonna miss the sweet relief a quick second shot the semi-auto I'm currently using affords if you dun goofed the first trying to be a clever cunt pinging folk through a wall. Just picked this up on PC yesterday as a birthday gift to myself. Only got to play it for about an hour or so last night but I can already tell this is one that I'm going to dive head first into. The customization alone is amazing. Also, I heard this is the largest world that Ubisoft has created so far and I'm eager to explore it all.

As for the big map, they're releasing a patch soon for PC (already out for consoles if I'm not mistaken) that will allow for some weekly challenges so it will give you more reason to explore the map a bit more I feel. Edit: PC patch comes out tomorrow.

Liberally dotted weapons/accessories/skill points/intel/supplies all have you floating about exploring the place... as it goes I've still only taken down a couple of buchons, still loads of fuckers crying out to get slotted. Just remembered I started a thread for the game... slackercentral.freeforums.net/thread/119/ghost-recon-wildlands

Still playing Mass Effect Andromeda mainly, tried a few multiplayer matches with just the standard gear just to get some credits to buy packs. Then when I finally went into the store, it turned out I had quite a few free packs waiting to be claimed, including a few for owning Mass Effect 3 and Dragon Age Inquisition.

I have actually really been enjoying Knights of the Fallen Empire:
It has a very single player RPG feel to it and has been a lot of fun so far, a more concise story then some of the other stuff in the game.

That trailer is pretty awesome actually.
I've been looking at this game called PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS. It's a last man standing multiplayer game based on say H1Z1 or DayZ. Up to 96 people start with nothing and have to run around a map looting buildings, killing each other, and looting bodies for the best gear. The map forces you into smaller and smaller areas until everyone is dead so that games don't drag out. Haven't played it yet, but it's on my radar.
I also played Thief (2014) for the first time the other night. It's ok, but so far it feels built for consoles and not as gritty as the older ones.

I saw a friend this weekend on Steam playing PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS and meant to ask him how he was liking it. I do see this one as being something I'd like to eventually play but I'm not chomping at the bit by any means. Also, this game really reminds me of The Culling. It's the same sort of premise as BATTLEGROUNDS where you have about 20 minutes to gather supplies and weapons and then kill all of your opponents, just without the building aspect. Hell both of them are just riffing off the movie Battle Royale

They would have probably named it that if they could have. lol

I have actually really been enjoying Knights of the Fallen Empire: For something that's meant to be advertising a product I find its lack of gameplay footage... disturbing.

True it doesn't have any gameplay, but the gameplay in that expansion is very concise and not very MMO like. The community has been complaining there are too many steps to get to the story so it is slimmed down and much easier to get to the narrative.

STALKER Call of Chernobyl. It combines all 3 games into one huge game. On top of that i am running the Warfare mod that makes a huge war between the factions. Playing as Freedom because Duty are scum! Stalker bundle is currently 75% off at Steam. store.steampowered.com/sub/35983/

I bought Westerado the other day while it was on sale for $3. It's an action/adventure game set in the wild west. Definitely worth the $3. You can "beat it" in about an hour if you really try. It does have some pretty decent replay-ability, secrets to find and choices to make in order to progress, but ultimately all actions lead to the same ending in a way. Made by adult swim so I wasn't sure how it would turn out, but I was pleasantly surprised.
