-Played the hell out of Warlords of Draenor. Raided for the first time since vanilla and was having a lot of fun. While fighting Archimonde for the #10 kill on the realm the guild started arguing about who needed to do better. I told them we were so far ahead of the curve they all needed to unclench and then left the game. I bought Legion but it turned into a grind fest so fast. I think I might be done with all that. -Recently beat Dragon Age Inquisition. Great game, great series (Okay 2 was a little crappy) -Dabbling in Fallout 4 - having an identity crisis. I ruined my build by wasting time with Charisma for settlements. Figured out I don't care about settlements but dont want to start over either. Meh. -Skyrim SE. I blew nearly 400 hours on the original game and still never touched any DLC and very few side quests. The sky boxes and view distance on the SE are profoundly better. The zebra striped shadows are gone finally, thank the 9. Textures don't seem much better, I was reading they scaled up the standard rez instead of using the high rez pack as a base... or something. All I know is interiors don't seem much better to me. -Most recently bought Elder Scrolls Online. Decent game, decent quests. Very Elder Scrollsy, obviously. Something about it just seems thin though. Like most MMOs its not the best experience solo either. Not sure how long I will last.

You know what? I restarted Castlevania: Symphony of the Night on my PS Vita. Completed it before (real ending) but it's been a while and I had nothing else going on.

STALKER Call of Chernobyl. It combines all 3 games into one huge game. On top of that i am running the Warfare mod that makes a huge war between the factions. Playing as Freedom because Duty are scum!

Is that easy to get running and do I need to own all 3 games already or something?
I played the first one long ago but I never finished it. I liked it, even though it was pretty challenging at times.

It checks to see if you have ever run the 3rd game(Call of Pripyat) on your system. if not it won't run, but there is a command line option that ignores the piracy check. Other then that its just download and run. IMO if I were you I would just get Call of Pripyat and then try Call of Chernobyl after. It is very well polished especially with the community patches. Call of Chernobyl has no real story or goal. A lot of new players complain it feels pointless because of that. Call of Pripyat is great.

Also if you do get back into stalker play on the highest difficulty Master. It seems counter productive but it is easier that way. On Master you die in 1 or 2 hits but so does everyone else in the game so it is actually easier since outside of a handful of enemies nobody is a bullet sponge.

The Last of Us Remastered (PS4 Pro). Finished the main game the other day and now I'm playing through the included DLC add-on.
Also been hooked on my Centipede Arcade game.....the better I get at it the more addicting it becomes, lol...

I finished Deus Ex Mankind Divided, might get the DLC for it though I'll probably wait for it to be on sale. Not sure what to play next, maybe DOOM never did finish that one either.

Been trying to avoid spending $60.00 for a new game and almost was going to splooge and purchase Horizon: Zero Dawn to get something up-to-date since I have yet to actually buy a native PS4 game (been buying PS3 remasters on the cheap) but decided to try to go through my back log of games on the PC to see if one of them caught my interest but I was really itching for some eye candy. I tried Dishonored for the third time, just not my cup of tea and the graphics looked very dated - I probably will never play it. Next I started to get back into Lego Marvel Heroes (previously had 6hrs into it) but I wasn't feeling it although it is kind of a good game that I want to finish at some point but I was looking for something a little more. I had totally forgotten about Origin and hadn't even installed it since going to Windows 10 since I'm so glued to Steam anymore so I installed it to see what was sitting unplayed in my library and I really wanted something modern with some eye candy and there sat Crysis 3. I previously did fire it up and play it for a few minutes but I remember just being so burned out on gung-ho military shooters I put it away right away and never looked at it again. That was two videocards ago (GTX760) and it didn't run very well on it. Fast forward to my overclocked 1080GTX running at 4k - WOW! I think this is actually the best graphics I've ever seen in a game period! The depth, draw distance, detail, special effects while running at native 4k shows this is a definite step above console gaming and taking advantage of the extra PC horsepower where as Crysis 2 seemed kinda dumped down on the PC to be made for the consoles, not a issue with Crysis 3 on the PC.
It would be pointless to post a screenshot for someone to view here in 1080p because you really have to experience sitting in front of a large 4k screen in motion to get the full effect. I'm running a 43" 4k screen on my desktop and the field of view and ultra fine resolution with a game that actually takes advantage of the power of a PC is a sight to be seen! I mean, I wasn't really expecting all that much because what year did it come out, like 2013? Even being a little older now it's definitely the best graphics I've ever seen in a game for sure! It's kinda going to make me not want to ever fire up my PS4 Pro again because I know the simplest of things like the extra far draw distance with the native and not upscaled 4k and not dumping down detail to run on the lower spec hardware just isn't ever going to be matched on the console although I do admit the PS4 Pro isn't too shabby for the price since it was only half the cost of my videocard alone. But dayum, I gotta give it up to the four year old game, blows even the newest stuff I've seen on the PC out of the water like Resident Evil 7. With Resident Evil 7 when you walk up close to a texture you can see the detail is low as hell with a hint that it was optimized with the consoles in mind but Crysis 3 is clearly optimized for the higher spec PC. It looks better than Rise of the Tomb Raider and everything. I actually loved being stealthy and using the bow in Tomb Raider so I'm having fun being stealthy with the bow in Crysis 3.
So..... Looks like I'm going to be glued to Crysis 3 till the end.... I actually had to force myself to stop playing it as I just wanted to keep going as I reached each checkpoint. Yea, I previously needed a hardcore break from the gung-ho military shooters as I was just completely sick of them regardless how good the graphics where, but I've had a long enough break from them and I can stomach a good one and Crysis 3 seems like the creme of the crop.
My next game I play will probably be Until Dawn on the PS4 Pro. It's a triple A exclusive and I think it will actually be my first native PS4 game that's not just a remastered PS3 game, and it's currently on sale for $9.99 and it's like a 37GB download so I figured for the $10 I might as well give it a go and have it downloaded and ready to go for when I finish Crysis. I never did finish GTA V. Never finished any of them, actually. I dunno, I just get burned out with them before I'm able to finish them but I should finish it at some point.....think I'm at least 75% done.

I just played episode 3 of The Walking Dead: A New Frontier, it was pretty good, definitely the best episode (of this season) so far. Took an hour and a half to beat, but I played through twice using 2 different saves with different decisions.
I'll probably go back to playing Mass Effect Andromeda now.

Ghost Recon Wildlands [PS4] - Unpatched to date but still enjoying it, I've yet to break the 500m mark sniping (mostly been a sneaky stealthy bastage & use AI for clearing paths) but I got a new rifle the other day that looks like it might cut the mustard... although I think I'm gonna miss the sweet relief a quick second shot the semi-auto I'm currently using affords if you dun goofed the first trying to be a clever cunt pinging folk through a wall.

Just bought a GTX 1070, a local place matched Amazon's price, plus it came with a $10 mail in rebate from EVGA. In the end, it'll add up to about $40 discount. It also came with a free game code for either For Honor or Ghost Recon Wildlands. I think the choice is clear, but I'm kinda tired of shooting games. Then again, hack/slash type games get old very quickly too. Still leaning more towards Wildlands though, seems to have better reviews than For Honor.
But I'll definitely go back and play The Witcher 3, this time with max settings.

I ended up picking For Honor but I had to redeem it on Uplay to get it which kinda sucks, I would've rather had it on Steam. I tried seeing if I could redeem the key from Uplay on Steam but it didn't work.
My friend bought the same EVGA GTX 1070 a while back but his came with a free code for Gears of War 4, which I think also included the Xbox One download of it.

I did want to check out For Honor, but I'll have to wait a few years for the price to drop to $20. I was going through my gog library and forgot that I bought the original Deus Ex a while back for nostalgia's sake. So I reinstalled Human Revolution. The first time I beat it I thought I was going to get the no kill achievement, but forgot that I killed some dudes in the intro so I didn't get it. Going to maybe give it another shot.

So after installing it and running from steam... it crashes before it even opens. If I have my friends list up it shows my status as playing the game for a few seconds, then back to just saying "Online." Seems to be related to nVidia cards (I have a GTX 770) and can be fixed messing with settings in the nVidia Control Panel App or related to onboard graphics cards. Sometimes people can only play using the onboard and sometimes it has to be disabled completely. Fucked around with it for about an hour last night before it pissed me off too much and I went to bed. lol When I go to the root folder there are crash dumps that don't really give me much to go on. This is the first time I've ever had trouble getting a steam game to run.
edit: Updating to the latest driver because why not.
edit 2: Trying to update crashed nVidia Control Panel and now it crashes whenever it is opened. On the bright side, killing the control panel has allowed Deus Ex to run. lmao

Mankind Divided is awesome but it ends on a huge cliffhanger just when things start getting more interesting. None of the DLC's add anything to the end either.

I used to have crashes when launching Human Revolution, can't quite remember what I did to fix it. I think I might've repaired the game files (right click game in libary, Properties/Local Files and verify integrity of game cache).

And that's one of the reasons I got tired of PC gaming... I think those are edge cases. PC gaming is pretty damn stable these days. my computer is nothing special. A gaming laptop with an i7 and a Nvidia 960 4gig. I could upgrade but I am trying this new thing where I don't blow my money on stupid shit all the time and actually have a nice savings account like a real adult would. This laptop never blue screens and the only game that has refused to run was an old late 90s title made for Windows 98 and the community patch didn't work for me.

I built my current PC back in 2012, though I recently upgraded the videocard in it. When I first put it together, it would not boot up and would just stay on a black screen with no video signal. I took the CPU out and re-seated it and then it booted up just fine. Ended up having the same issue with a black screen again later, decided to just let it sit there for a while and eventually, it came up to a screen that said "failsafe values loaded" or something like that. Searched Google and it was suggested to update the BIOS which I did, and haven't had any issues since.
I remember back when the PS3 first came out, one of my friend's friends brought his over hooked it up to his TV. My friend at the time had one of those old TV's with the RCA inputs, which the PS3 did come with (HDMI was still very new). When turned on, it would not display anything to the TV and we ended up giving up trying to make it work after an hour. I think it was because it had previously been connected to another TV with HDMI and the PS3 was still set to output to HDMI and it had no way of switching to RCA unless you could actually get into it to set it. I think Sony ended up fixing that later on though.

I'm not sure they did. I remember having that same issue early on. Taught me to revert back to composite BEFORE switching screens.

It's really fucking annoying that there are no kill/takedown stats as it's super-easy for people to die without you meaning it/noticing; during one event ( that rescue) one of the guys I'd knocked out slid off the edge of some scaffolding dropped two floors and snuffed it... I was nearly done too! Managed to get through it non-lethally eventually. Shit was intense! I seem to remember busting through walls when folks are stood behind them can result in a kill too.

Yeah, that was probably the toughest part for that achievement. Especially since when you destroy the giant robot it explodes and will kill nearby people which will count against you. I think I did that part about 20 times before I was able to both save her and not kill anyone. The punch through walls kills was a thing, but I only ran into that issue once and I just found an alternate route. The little bit after the credits was kind of cool, sets up the story for the original Deus Ex. I found my way to a Deus Ex wiki and found it pretty funny when looking at the birth dates for a few of the characters. Sarif was born in like 1973, Alex Jenson was born in like 1992 or something.
