Get your Vitamin D levels checked. Studies show that a VitD deficiency increases your chances of dying from Covid by 50%.

Dayum, you got off easy. If you went to NYC and walked by any of those huts that are outside restaurants for customers (and rats) to eat in, and put on sex shows for passerbyers, start looking into scoring some of Joe Rogan's experimental medicine.
JK, get better soon!

You know, I kinda hated New York and not just because it made me sick. We were staying in Manhatten, on 40th, not too far from Times Square and everything about that was a nightmare. I liked it when we went to Greenwich Village and Brooklyn (made a little detour for Adam Yauch Park). As dirty as some parts were (of the places we went to), Chinatown was the worst however. That actually still looked like the NY I know from movies.
We did 7 days NY and 3 days DC and afterwards, we all agreed it should have been the other way around. DC was heaven compared to NY.
I don't recommend the reflecting pool at night though. Holy mosquito, Batman!

I've known ppl who love NYC (living there or vacationing there). It's not for me tho. Having grown up near big cities, I prefer outdoors oriented vacations and activities like river rafting.

I had 3x Moderna, just got over a case of COVID that left me with a cough for 2 days and fatigue but no other symptoms. I am on the fence with a 4th shot, I think if they change up their formula for the newer variants like they are working on I will just go with that.

It's like I've been saying from the start.. Coronavirus mutates rapidly like the flu. And like the flu, vaccines are effective only for limited time, until new seasonal strains arrive. COVID is a seasonal virus like the flu. Authorities always knew this (Coronavirus has been with humans since prehistory), but told us lies (like the vax would prevent you from getting Covid) to sell more of the vaccine. I was amazed how they continued with the lies for a while even when new strain came along that were clearly resistant to the vaccines.
Obviously, even when you get the new vax, it won't be 100% effective. It'll mainly be effective against the strains it was designed for and varying levels of effectiveness (or even non-effective) against other strains of the virus. Eventually, they'll have to re-formulated vaccine at least once per year (like is already done with flu vaccines). However, Corona vax (at least, the type they've been prescribing so far) use different technology than the flu vaccines. Hopefully, there aren't long-term, negative side effects of the mRNA type vaccines.

Insufficient vitamin D linked to fourfold increase in risk of death among Covid-19 patients Irish researchers find unvaccinated patients with low vitamin D levels are more likely to suffer severe disease and death Paul Cullen Fri Aug 19 2022 - 15:31 Covid-19 patients with low vitamin D levels are more likely to suffer severe disease and death, according to a study by Irish scientists. Unvaccinated Caucasian adults with low vitamin D have higher mortality due to Sars CoV-2 pneumonia, according to the small-scale study by researchers at Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown and Technological University Dublin. This is not explained by confounders such as age or obesity and is not closely linked to inflammation, they say. Having an insufficient level of vitamin D was associated with a greater than fourfold increased mortality risk, according to the study, published in the journal Nutrients. The study looked at the outcomes of 232 unvaccinated patients at Connolly hospital, all of whom had Covid-19 and required supplemental oxygen. Patients on steroid treatment were not recruited for the study in order, the authors say, to eliminate the effect their use might have on measures of both vitamin D and inflammation. www.irishtimes.com/health/2022/08/19/insufficient-vitamin-d-linked-to-fourfold-increase-in-risk-of-death-among-covid-19-patients/

Speaking of Vitamin D I was shocking finding out I was Vitamin D deficient while LIVING IN ARIZONA AND GOING OUTISDE ALL THE TIME lol. Turns out living in the sun isn't a guarantee your levels will be ok.

Turns out living in the sun isn't a guarantee your levels will be ok. It was the same with me when I used to live in Texas. I'd go walk & run outside for about an hour 4-5 days a week, but still Vit D deficient. I've heard the advice of doctor was that you have to expose at least 1/3 of your body (wear shorts and tank top, or shirtless) in the sun for 15 minutes every day (to get enough Vit D from sunlight). I didn't do that, except when I was kid and, during the summers, we'd go to the public swimming pool several times a week.

Now Dems are attacking Trump for rushing the approval of experimental C19 vaccines. I take it they've found new data showing substantial harm from the vaccines or something to that effect?

My brother's former boss got the jab, had heart complications and then caught C-19 shortly after. He had to be hospitalized for a month plus and nearly died. I got the Moderna jab twice and each time I felt like I had been hit by a truck (for 8-10 hours following each shot). Intense migraine, fever, and body aches. Fortunately, I haven't drank much alcohol over the course of my life and my liver is still healthy enough to break experimental vaccines down quickly.

The real issue with the unvaxxed is they get sicker and go to the hospital more often and take up machines like ECMO which are in limited supply.
I'm planning on getting the new vax around end of October. I just got over COVID in late July/Early August and it was minor for me, fatigue was the main thing. My first bike ride back out I could barely keep up and was completely exhausted at the rest points.

You could also thrown in (the unvax'd) robbing their employers and themselves of time that they could've otherwise spent being productive. Still, I understand some peoples' hesitation due to the vaccine research & approval skipping normal clinical trials and the alarming high number of reports of people experiencing serious side effects. The vaccine made me feel sick for about a day. I'll be getting the remixed (Moderna) vax anyway, since I personally didn't experience serious or long-term side effects from the 1st two shots.

I think there's probably no data because the federal govt removed the requirement for providing vaccine research data earlier this year. Funny how they omitted that bit of information. Lies of omission, as Jimmy Dore called it.
