The MD/CEO of the healthcare organization I work for sent an email to employees that all intensive care units and emergency departments are full to capacity. Also, over 2000 caregivers are out. Hospitals are working with the National Guard to counter staffing shortages.
There are fewer deaths than last year. The major problem is that cases are at an all time high. More covid infected than ever seeking treatment, which is brutally difficult for hospitals to keep up with. They actually recognized in the email that the vaccine isn't preventing people from getting covid and covid symptoms, but they recommend everyone get it anyway because they say it makes symptoms less severe.

Bill Gates.. such an authority figure these days. He's finally saying some of what we've been saying for months. Worth posting regardless because facts carry some weight with left-leaning folk when coming from one of their own.
I doubt Coronavirus is one that those viruses you can wipe out with a vaccine though.
But I welcome them to try, as long as they do NOT force us to take it while it's in experimental stages of testing or the standard clinical trials were skipped.

A huge chunk of the country is flat refusing vaccines, refusing to socially distance and attending large social events, churches are especially egregious with this. They are also refusing to wear masks. Pretty much every Right Wing media member/influencer is opening telling their viewers/listeners not to get vaxxed or wear masks or socially distance. This is done to drive up cases so they can blame Biden. It isn't Biden's fault every Republican in the country is doing everything in their power to make the pandemic as bad as possible. |

Many restaurants, particularly in blue states, aren't even allowing the fully vaccinated, masked & all, people to eat indoors in the dead of winter. Dude, just accept that you've been lied to. |

The biggest reason the U.S. would inevitably have more cases is that we have a much larger population than, say, Italy (or pick whatever smaller country you want to compare us to). I'd like to see cases as percentage of given segment of the population (eg. # of cases per 1000), but good luck finding those stats. It wouldn't support the narrative.
Point being Omicron spreads like wild fire in any country it's touched, regardless of vaccination rate, masking or social distancing.
New Zealand has gone total lockdown, not allowing foreigners to enter their country, so yes, there's an exception. But they can't stay in lockdown mode forever. Eventually, they'll open up and Omicron will take its toll there as well.

We have yet to see if anyone followed this religious con man's scam and actually drank piss thinking it's covid prevention. We're living in clown world though, so it wouldn't be too shocking if someone had done it. Both left and right politicians have called for censoring video games. However, who's been doing most of the censoring and cancel culture (not just video games, but everything) for the past decade or two? imo, Repubs or the right doesn't have the political clout or influence to censor shit in entertainment or video games. Most of the people who run and work for big tech, including Sony/Playstation North America CEO, are wokesters. Sony's worse about censoring 3rd party games than the family friendly Nintendo these days. Strange times. |

Don't believe it? Well, that means you didn't watch the last video (where Russell reveals that the US Federal govt & Biden no longer require hospitals to report stats on Covid). Next, don't be shocked if you're told to lay off bullying and harassing the unvaccinated (because that's just another reminder of the pandemic, which drags down Biden's approval rating). Some time after that, they'll declare victory against covid (even though it'll still be around as an "endemic" which, in truth, Coronavirus has always been an endemic virus that constantly mutates into new strains). A person can be fully vaccinated, have had covid & recovered (or both), catch it a second time and die. But this is very rare in either case, particularly for healthy individuals. In the cases where people die from Covid after vaccination or having recovered from it (and dying after catching it a 2nd time), they tend to have co-morbidity (other health problems) factors going on. Colin Powell was fully vaccinated, still caught covid, and died (due to co-morbidity factors). Staying fit & healthy and making sure your Vitamin D levels are normal are both good for reducing risk of serious illness or death from most cold viruses. In this video, the good doctor reviews CDC data that confirms natural/acquired immunity provides excellent protection (for most people). Of course, it would be idiotic to try & catch covid on purpose to acquire immunity because, as we all know, it has the potential to kill with the first infection. |

There's a guy over here that is somewhat known who's unvacinated and who recently admitted (publicly) to purposely contracting covid by putting a sick person's snot in his nose because he wanted to go somewhere that you'd need a vaccin certificate for (or proof of having had and recovered from covid). Do I wish him to die? Not really, but I don't want him to get so sick he thinks he's going to...
Sadly he's a former sports person so he's still in shape and probably won't really feel the effects that much, but I have no compassion for people like that.

Let's be real for a minute. AOC, Pelosi, and others have been filmed going in restaurants and public places maskless, including pre-vaccine period up 'til recently. AOC went down to Florida and got caught maskless in a restaurant, not long after telling ppl in her state they should always wear masks in public places. Pelosi actually went to hair salon after ordering them closed and nobody else permitted to go (during the lockdowns). The owner exposed her (because her business was under imminent failure thanks to the lockdowns). You've stated before that the CCP (an authoritarian communist regime with a proven record of human rights violations - against literal millions of Uhgars, Tibetans, and other ppl) wouldn't knowingly spread a virus with the intent to cause harm. Yet, Republicans would. Get out of town.  imo, it's that the majority of U.S. politicians have huge egos and consider themselves elites (above the average citizen), and nothing will cramp their lifestyle, come hell or pandemic.
