I tried the Qc35 (version 1) a while ago. The wireless/bluetooth had way too much lag to even consider them for use with watching movies or gaming. However, they were very comfortable to wear and good sound quality (for pairing to your phone and streaming music). I'd recommend them for people who travel/fly alot. The noise cancelling is great for reducing droning sound of airplane engines, etc, and thereby reduce your stress while traveling. Unfortunately, there aren't many decent options for wireless gaming headphones. www.rtings.com/headphones/reviews/best/by-usage/gamingI'm happy to report lag isn't an issue with my Sony WH-1000XM3 using AptX with my mobos built in Bluetooth. However I tried one of those Fiio Bluetooth adapters with Ldac support and not only was the sound lackluster, but there was major lag making it completely unusable for games and movie/video watching. Native OS Ldac support (lagless) would be nice in the future.

Lag issues and such is why I still don't have any bluetooth headphones/IEMs. I use a little adapter for my S21 Ultra. Works well.

What's amazing is that the developers of the tech don't seem to be in a hurry to fix the problems. It's like, it's 2021.... sound lag and sound quality shouldn't be an issue anymore...

Was still using the original earcups from these long since discontinued Sennheiser HD590s. In the last week I got new earcups, a new headband, and a new cable. Kept the original box. Think these were made in like 1999.

So I got some Audeze LCD-2 originals that were all the rage just to hear the Audeze "house sound". I got them used so they were $500 not $1,000 like they were at launch. Good headphones. Eventually one of the earcups fell off so I got some felt ones from drop.com(back when they were massdrop.com). They were a lot more comfortable but seemed to dull the sound somewhat. Audeze released a new revision leather pad for 2021 they claim improves the sound: www.audeze.com/products/lcd-ear-padsI went for the leather ones, first impression yes they do sound better then the drop.com pads, however since they are leather after 15 minutes my ears feel hot and they are sticky, so when you take them off they like peal off your head. Ick. Also I saw this interaction when I went to the headphone discord: "Person 1: yeah he has somewhat of an ego and by somewhat i mean he seems rather self obsessed(edited) Person 2: He's a narcissist Person 1: 100%" Remember kids, EVERYONE on the internet you don't like has Narcissistic Personality Disorder. For real and true. The only requirement for NPD is being kinda a dick.

Anyone have thousands of dollars burning a hole in your pocket?
Audeze famous in the expensive headphone world is releasing a flagship electrostatic headphone. New flagship electrostat headphones are very rare:

Since electrostats are a completely different technology then your average headphone or speaker they require a specific electrostat amplifier. Here we have one from WooAudio you can get for the low low price of $7,649.00: wooaudio.com/amplifiers/3es

So blast from the past. Back in like 2006 when I had only been into the audio hobby for two years I bought into forum hype and dropped $650 on a ridiculous "NOS" DAC which was all the rage at the time. They claim that it removed all the harsh digital noise and made music sound more natural. Got it home, plugged it in,.........................and it sounded absolutely awful. Like I would rather listen to my $40 Discman I got at Walmart as a teenager. Worst audio purchase I have ever made by a large margin. They no longer make that product but the company still exists. Their current products are a lot more expensive. A $1,500 DAC was measured on ASR. I expected it to be bad and not only was it bad but it is the worst DAC they have ever tested going straight to the bottom: That is supposed to be considerably nicer and more then twice as expensive as the one I bought. Buyer beware when it comes to forum hype: www.audiosciencereview.com/forum/index.php?threads/mhdt-labs-pagoda-review-r2r-tube-dac.28575/

So I have been using the AKG N400NC TWS for a few weeks now. My first bluetooth earbuds. I usually pay like $60 for earbuds so $47 for a $150 pair was a good deal. Also the AKG N400NC TWS have reputation of having great sound quality.
First AKG is owned by Samsung and I have a Samsung S21 Ultra but there was a bug that kept the app working with the S21 series. I could pair the earbuds and they would play music but I could not use any of the advanced features that require the app. Quite ridiculous that Samsung makes both products but they didn't work together.
To their credit Samsung said they were working on a fix and this Monday I got a very small Android update on my phone and when I restarted the app works just fine.
I haven't been "converted" but not thinking about wires has been nice. Sometimes when I put them away and close the case they do not disconnect from my phone forcing me to pull them out of my pocket and reseat them. If you can pick them up on a ridiculous sale I recommend them.

I'm still using a Samsung Galaxy S8, it came with some AKG earbuds (probably not as good as those) but they do sound pretty good. Might actually order some of those, especially cause they're wireless.

Looks like they are on sale again. For $47 they are a great deal, at $150 there are plenty of others to consider.

It's looking like they don't put a headphone jack on new phones anymore. My Galaxy S8 has one but eventually they're gonna get rid of 4G, so I'll need a new phone. I think it will be a good idea to go ahead and buy these since they're at such a huge discount. *edit* Got a little worried because I wasn't receiving the confirmation email but I got it eventually.

Got those earbuds, they're a really nice product. They worked out of the box but I decided to let them charge before using them more. This is my first ever set of bluetooth earphones.
*edit* They sound great and it was easy to pair them. One thing that really stands out to me is the build quality, everything feels nice and sturdy, even the case and charging cable.

Mine as well. I like them but they have a couple issues. Sometimes when I take them out and put them on the right one plays but not the left one, when I put them back in the case and close the lid that is supposed to turn them off but today someone called my cell and I couldn't hear. I realized the audio was going to the earbuds. If I turn bluetooth off on my phone that solves the issue but its annoying.
Also a couple days ago the app wouldn't work unless I gave it a permission I already gave it. Not sure why it forgot.
Still even with the annoyance they sound really good.

I noticed if I take one out of my ear, it stops playing sound on both until I put it back in my ear. Also the R and L are swapped inside the case, the right one is on the left and the left one is on the right. Not a big deal but I thought that was interesting.

My dad worked in professional audio for most of his life, so I know a lot of those names including Koss. RIP.
He used to get awesome discounts on stuff too, he got me some really nice Yamaha 2.1 PC speakers and also some really nice studio quality Sony headphones at a huge discount. Unfortunately one of my neighbors borrowed both of those things and never gave them back. Don't let people borrow your things, even if you think they're your friend.

Also had been using a Galaxy S3 for at least 5-6 years before getting an S8, the only reason I upgraded was because the S3 started having freezing issues. Planning on using the S8 until it starts having issues as well, I've never been one of those types who always needs to have the latest and greatest. In my older years, I'm actually starting to hate electronics. Same with my vehicle, it's older and doesn't have much electronics in it, and that's the reason I haven't wanted to trade in for a newer one.

My S9+ was still usable but the battery life had gone down a bit and it was getting pretty hot when playing video for a while. I got the S21 Ultra because my job will buy IT people a new phone every 2 years. Free is free so why not.

I was having a really annoying problem on my phone pairing the AKG N400's, they were unusually quiet even with the volume all the way up. Turned out I just had to reset the bluetooth settings on my phone, now the volume is as it should be.
On my phone it was under Settings and then General Management, there's a specific one to reset Network Settings which includes bluetooth and wifi.

Sometimes I have to put the AKGs back in their charger and take them out again to get them to pair. Other then that smooth sailing.

So my AKGs have been going strong since December. Last night the right bud got super quiet. Cleaning them off didn't help. Today as a last ditch effort to save them I soaked the right bud in rubbing alcohol for 45 minutes and that magically worked. Walked around to a couple pawn shops and found some Galaxy Pros for $95. Not a bad deal at all

Shit got crazy at work yesterday so I didn't have much time to mess with the Galaxy Bud Pros much. They feel like a waaay more premium product then the AKG 400s for sure. When you pair them they are extremely aggressive on getting everything installed and working. The whole thing is alot smoother. Unfortunately none of my earbuds fit the Galaxy Bud Pros so I ordered some from the same company I like for the AKGs those should be here today. Also holy crap the box is a lot smaller and lighter

I think I paid around $50 for the AKG's, they seem like an older product that they're probably trying to clear stocks of. I think it's a good product for that price, just that the case is definitely not something you can keep in a pocket. Maybe a backpack.
Sounds like those Samsung's were a great find though.

Yeah I paid $47 for those AKG. In two days the Galaxy Buds Pros are converting me. They always flawlessly pair as soon as you take them out of the case and turn off as soon as you put them in, and have waaaay more features then I will ever need to use.
