If you're into comics or looking to start, this is an awesome bundle. I started collecting again about a year ago and Image Comics has stood out to me as being the best when it comes to stories and artwork. There was a similar bundle available around that time and it got me into a lot of great series, some still running and even new. Edit: Here's the link: www.humblebundle.com/books/image-comics-book-bundleforgot the links don't underline.

Never really been a fan of Image, I remember in the 90's thinking most of their stuff looked like crap... of the few titles I did end up checking out 'Savage Dragon' was okay I guess. The only new work I've seen that interests me is 'Sex Criminals'... are you buying paper or digital?

Image has made a LOT of improvement over the years and I can say the same about Valiant Entertainment as well. Both companies struggled in the 90s but not today, they're doing well. The series that I really love from Image are: Black Science, Southern Bastards, Descender, Paper Girls, Chew, Fear Agent, and a new awesome series called Seven To Eternity. Those are a few of the many titles they put out.
I buy paper but will indulge in digital purchases like this to get introduced to series. If i dig it, I'll buy the paper versions if I can. Sex Criminals is good from the few issues I've read. I have that one from an old Image Humble Bundle.
If I can suggest anything, let me know what you normally read and I'll send a few idea your way. I love recommending new comics to folks!

I was into comics in the '90s, when I had access to them in my student years. When I graduated and had to leave the city, that also meant leaving behind stores that carried imported American comics. Probably would be able to get all that stuff online nowadays but back in the day that was it for comics collecting for me. Got a couple hundred Spidey comics to show for it and some Mortal Kombat ones.

Probably would be able to get all that stuff online nowadays but back in the day that was it for comics collecting for me. Got a couple hundred Spidey comics to show for it and some Mortal Kombat ones. Get back into them! It's now easier to read comics than ever. If you don't want physical copies, digital downloads are the way to go. If you would like hard copies but maybe don't wanna invest in buying single issues, buy "Trades". These usually contain 4-6 issues of a series per Volume. I usually visit half.com for used/good quality books or instocktrades.com for un-used books. If anyone would like recommendations of series, let me know. I love suggesting new titles to folks. Hell, thinking of starting a podcast soon and including a segment on comic reviews. Btw, my avatar is from one of my favorite Image Comics, Fear Agent. That's the badass space cowboy, Heath Huston. Cop, I feel like you'd dig this series.

I've scored plenty of ace books from charity shops over the last few years; not long back I ended up spending the best part of £300 during two visits to an Oxfam shop just down the road from my place, so many Bat-titles I wanted it was brilliant. The other day I found a pretty much mint hardcover copy of "The Originals" by Dave Gibbons for £2.99 & Garth Ennis/Phil Winslade's "Goddess" (not read it yet but the artwork is effing marvellous) for £2.49, boom!

I don't think I have the time anymore. A while ago our TV-guide had some on offer for cheap, translated into Dutch, which I used to hate but I have to say they're a lot better than I remembered them from the '90s. Usually the prints and paper quality would be inferior to the imports, but these were very nice. Still, they lay here for months until I took them with me on our summer holiday where I finally got around to reading them...
I've been wanting to re-read my old stuff for years, but I just can't seem to find the time anymore.
Ah, the student years, entire week away from the parents. Few hours of school, get back to the room, eat something and read comics for a few hours, fuck the girlfriend if she came over and was in the mood, then after she fucked off: watch a movie, put on some porn, jerk off and fall asleep.

Some of the collection... Very nice collection dude! I'll be sure to share a photo of my collection soon. Btw, it looks like you're really into Batman. I've been wanting to get into Batman more and more but not sure which runs to check out. What are your top 3 favorite? I've read the classic, "The Killing Joke" graphic novel and picked up the new run that they just started on a recent Batman Day at my local shop and it was great, beyond that, I got nothing.

Jesus, there's no way I could just pick three! One thing I love about Batman is how varied the stories can be in writing style/genre and art - here are some I would deffo recommend though: The Long Halloween / Dark Victory / Catwoman: When In Rome - Jeph Loeb & Tim Sale These follow on from 'Year One' by Frank Miller (which is also a good read) and some one-shot stories later collected as 'Haunted Knight', events in DV & C:WIR are set concurrently - I'd say the last isn't essential but it's as good as the other stuff, I only got it recently myself after owning the first two for years. The Black Mirror - Scott Snyder / Jock / Francesco Francavilla Lovely stuff... and I say that as somebody very dubious about the idea of anybody being Batman besides Bruce Wayne. This story features the return of James Gordon Jr. and he's a right nasty piece of work! Black And White - Various There are a few volumes of these all, as the title suggests, showcasing black and white artwork... If you had to explain Batman to an aliem you could probably just show them these stories and they'd get it. Snow - J.H. Williams III / Dan Curtis Johnson Mr Freeze has always left me cold (rimshot) but this collects issues of the mighty 'Legends of the Dark Knight' - it's an origin story for Freeze featuring an early attempt by Bruce to posse up... Batman Inc. it aint! PS. I think the artwork is amazing, different but amazing. I could go on and on, there are loads more... but see if any of these tickle your barse. One thing I'd deffo recommend is seeing if you can find a copy (print or digital) of the recoloured Killing Joke... Bolland was never happy with the original colours so went back and did it all again himself. There's also a nice little bonus short story included in the reissue. Found a couple of new (old) books in a charityshop only yesterday; one being an Image title, Suburban Glamour - which looks okay & the second Icon - Casanova - which looks DOPE!!1 Well worth £4.98 of any fuckers money.

Cop...uh...yeah good ones as well bud....yeah. Hah... The Batman vs the ultimate biological weapon, what's not to like??? Did you even see the croco-alien? I remember them not being all that great, but the comic itself it really nice, with a cardboard cover cover instead of paper and all.

The only Batman crossover stories I remember reading/own are Judge Dredd ones... the first, 'Judgement on Gotham', is probably the best although they're all interesting in one way or another. Here's a link to a full scan of JoG... the artwork by Simon Bisley is fucking magnificent. view-comic.com/batman-judge-dredd-judgement-on-gotham/Enjoy!

Oh, I've got that one as well, but not in the usual comic US book format but as a larger 'European' strip book (sadly also translated in Dutch). They were released here as a series called "Stories from the Megacities" of which I've got #3, #4, #6 and #13. Only #3 has Batman in it, the others are all about the ABC-Warriors. I fell in love with the art style of those books, and with the crazy personalities of the ABC robots. One of them is even featured in that Stallone Judge Dredd movie, which is awesome because it's pre-CGI so it's all practical....

I too have the large-format editions... but in English! You can now buy a one book collection of all four stories that's of 'regular' size (think it's a hardback) but IMO given how nice the art is I'd rather have the larger ones. ABC Warriors - One of them is even featured in that Stallone Judge Dredd movie, which is awesome because it's pre-CGI so it's all practical.... Hammerstein FTW! Dunno if you've heard of/read it but 'Bad Company' is another ace 2000AD strip which you might enjoy...

I'm a big fan of the Alien franchise so I'm sure it's a fun one. Hell, reminds me of the awesome fan film I saw years ago, "Batman:Dead End" The only Batman crossover stories I remember reading/own are Judge Dredd ones... the first, 'Judgement on Gotham', is probably the best although they're all interesting in one way or another. I've been getting back into comics. Never really read the independent stuff. I prefer readcomiconline.to/ to view comic online- when readcomic isn't down. Been checking out Brit, Guarding the Globe-( really needs to be an animated series) What really knocked my socks off was Irredeemable(Fox is trying to make a movie?) and the Jupiter's legacy\ascending series. EDIT: reading old man logan at work right now huehuehuehuehuehue

The original or the new ? I just started the new run and it's so badass.
