So, I've been in the hospital for the past 4 days straight. My lung collapsed on Thursday morning. Today i'm having a surgical procedure done to help heal and reduce the odds of it happening again on this side.
I'm too woozy to write all the details but i'll keep coming around and adding updates.

Sure, why not. I mean, i'll be a bit out of it.
Two hours until i go under. They'll use one hole for the tools and one hole for the camera.

I no longer am wearing any of my own clothes... i've been wearing pajama pants for a few days. Now it's just a gown and a few tubes in me I was put under anesthesia for the first time last year. Last thing I remember was the nurse asking me to scoot over. Then I am being wheeled out. |

I am alive!!!
I was slow to update because i had tubes everywhere and quite sore from the procedure.
The procedure went well and they were able to cut off a couple of blister type tissue off of my lung that was leaking. The procedure also helps to reduce the chances of recurrence.
Weasel is here with me so I'm gonna get off the computer for a bit.

This morning will determine whether or not i get to go home. It's possible that i get my tube out and then it will be a matter of time after that.

Eat all the Jello you can get your hands on. oh heck yes! I love the strawberry jello. Orange is good to. I haven't seen any blue or green in this hospital. They also have pudding but I've been going straight for the strawberry. |

Today is day 7 in the hospital, but good news. they just removed my chest tube!!! Their plan is to send me home tomorrow with a good supply of very kind pain medications.
Also, they're going to see what they can do about making me poop. I haven't pooped since thursday.

Update: I got home on Thursday around noon. It was unfortunately of little comfort to be home because my body was still roughed up from the hospital visit. I still have bruises on my arms and belly from the shots and IVs and I've got three new surgery marks on me that will probably look cool once they don't look open or have staples still in them.
I hardly have any energy. I am supposed to go for walks a few times a day and then rest... Today I went to target with my wife and was completely winded by the time we checked out. But I am starting to feel a little bit normal again
