If you are one of those people who thinks "today's games are too easy" I highly recommend you drop $5 on this.
The graphics are a throw back to Quake/Doom. It intentionally has poor texture filtering and geometry similar to the PS1.
Basically if you can last one minute in this game you are doing well. It is very bullet hell inspired.
It supports solid binaural audio/HRTF but the game is so fast you have little time to enjoy it lol.

I've seen it in action, don't really understand why the graphics have to be that crappy. PS1 resolutions and textures aren't the good kind of retro.

There are plenty of Quake engines, qbism super8 intentionally adds artifacting that didn't even exist back in the 1996 DOS release. They call it "meta-nostalgia". Its not how the game was. Its how you remember it being:

Even at the time I didn't particulary like the PS1's graphics and once the PC got the Voodoo, it was even more apparent just how crappy they were.
