It's surprising how the economy keeps coming back despite all of the unprecedented pandemic lockdowns. I've heard it's because consumer spending is through the roof. Wait. Aren't we supposed stay in our homes and don't go out to shop & spend? Oh, right.. ppl do most of their shopping via Amazon/online, so the lockdowns have little effect on retail spending.

Imagine how bad the fear/panic would be if we were going through a pandemic with an actual high mortality rate. By comparison to historic pandemics, covid deaths are a low number. Covid mortality rate is a little over 2% (and a majority of those are elderly and/or immuno-compromised). Smallpox (mortality of around 30%) and the Spanish flu (some estimated a mortality of at least 50%) killed tens of millions (something like 50 million each). Those pandemics didn't discriminate on age or immune health of its victims.. get one of those diseases, and the chance of death was almost like a coin toss. www.washingtonpost.com/graphics/2020/local/retropolis/coronavirus-deadliest-pandemics/CDC covid mortality demographics. covid.cdc.gov/covid-data-tracker/#demographicsThe largest spike in cases in the past 7 days - the (big three) border immigration states (i.e. Cali, Texas, Florida), Illinois, and Wisconsin. Cali and Illinois are deep blue lockdown states and many EU countries with hard downdowns are also experiencing a surge in cases. This seriously calls into question the actual effectiveness of lockdowns. covid.cdc.gov/covid-data-tracker/#cases_casesinlast7days

The ending of the sequel to Harry and the Hendersons? lol Didn't know that movie had a sequel. lol Turkeys are highly visual and instinctive animals, but not bright enough to pass the mirror self-recognition test. I'm guessing it saw its own reflection on the motorcycle's chrome surfaces and interpreted its reflection as another turkey. I've seen how turkeys can be freakishly drawn to their own reflections. A while ago, I was out walking the family dog near a large metro park (w/ a population of turkeys) and noticed a turkey pecking obsessively at its own reflection on a basement window.

Every time I see those kind of trucks, I always picture fat racist rednecks and that song "America Fuck Yeah" from Team America.

Looks the same to me The only difference are the mounted guns, but I guess they'll be coming next week... ...oh and the fact their Toyota Hiluxes probably won't break down as easily as that American junk...
