Seems like an expensive hobby. I bought from one of the major companies, Hot Toys known for their realism and likeness featuring multiple joints throughout the body to put the figure into any pose that you want, rooted hair that with hair gel you can actually style any way that you want (I had to use hair gel on her bangs to keep them in position) and cloths that look and feel like real cloths, just 1/6th scale. I got Babydoll from the movie Sucker Punch. Yes, Emily Browning in Sucker Punch in that outfit is total fantasy fap material, not going to lie, when I seen this realistic 1/6 official licensed figure I had to have it. I've had this figure since around 2017 (7 years) and I paid $293 for her brand new after she was out of production but looking at current prices from one of the official distributors for current in stock figures this price isn't that much off from normal current in stock prices (some go double the price). Some hardcore figurine collectors on Youtube collections are up into the $100k range, crazy. I was thinking about getting another one or two. I was thinking of maybe Harely Quinn (played by Margot Robbie) from Birds of Prey and The Joker (played by Jared Leto) from Suicide Squad, both pretty bad-ass looking figures. But here's my current one and only, Babydoll from Sucker Punch.... She stands about 11" tall.

There's nothing I like enough to put down that amount of cash for a tiny figure of it. I do have a whole bunch of Star Wars vehicles, but even those are just the Hasbro toys...
There are those fetish manga statues that often look cool, but I'm not depraved enough either to have something like that sitting in my house...

I've looked into a few but the cost scared me off. I actually do have one anime type figure solid.... (she is anatomically correct under the cloths too if you chose to remove them  ) Yea that one in your link, £650.00....that's a lot lol. The new one I was thinking about getting is about $200 shipped... |

To me its silly to collect those things. I have a couple flashlights and pocket knives, but they are to use as a tool when needed and not as a showcase collectors piece. I'm sure he thinks that its silly that I collect Garbage Pail Kids cards and arcade games. |

You know that your meat would start to intensify and you would fork up the money lol...    Ugh naw, I haven't watched her in years. Just hear things from friends. Her views and relevance has gone way down. She tried to cause some kind of controversy by sticking out her false teeth on TikTok before she got banned off there then I guess she took a long break from streaming. Tbh I'm out of the loop with her and most of the people I know who used to follow her have moved on. |

I guess that it's a to each and their own type situation. I have a friend who collects pocket knives and flashlights and not only collects them, but has custom made display cases to show them off. To me its silly to collect those things. People collect the strangest things. Buddy at work has his entire attic converted into a home bar stocked with (promotional) shit from this Belgian Beer called 'La Chouffe'. It all has this ugly gnome on them. He's constantly buying and selling (empty and full) bottles, glasses, posters, plaques and just about anything that has that logo on it online and he's willing to drive (imho) insane distances to go pick shit up. He drives to pubs and bars randomly and asks if they have Chouffe stuff lying around they are willing to part with. Several times a year they go on a Chouffe weekend and visit the brewery. Insanity... At least you can jerk it to anime statues |

Well I kinda splooged and bought my second Hot Toys 1/6 movie character since 2017, Harley Quinn from Birds of Prey only because I found it for $100 off the official distributor Sideshow ($264) and others on ebay were asking even more over $300 (here's one actually selling for $464) so I got NIB for $164 with free shipping. I've been kinda sitting on the idea the past few days not wanting to really collect more junk but the ebay shop selling it at the $100 discount had about 40 with about 22 remaining the other day and only 2 were remaining tonight so they probably would of been sold out by tomorrow and then if I had really wanted it later I would be in the $300 range so I said fuck it, for $100 off my Babydoll figure has someone to dike out with now lol. Now with the amount remaining from the ebay seller, I think the person is playing games. After I bought it, it did update to say 1 remaining/40 sold but then a few minutes later it said "The listing below has been updated by the seller, but you can see the item you purchased." And now there are once again 2 available. However who knows, they do accept unopened returns within 30 days and maybe they got one back returned....hhmm..or maybe making people panic buy with saying only a couple of 40 sold are remaining...interesting. As of right now it says 43 sold. So lets say if they paid $120 for each figure, who know, but that would be $5,160 in inventory not including the supposed "2" remaining for one single figure. Just imagine how much money you would need to have a fully stocked store with 40+ of each figure!  |

No judgment here. I never sold my childhood toys. They're boxed up somewhere.
My older brother had a huge collection (from his childhood) of OG Star Wars toys & figures and had some of them on display in his home. He sold them all (for substantial $'s I'm sure) after having kids a few years into his marriage. He still loves SW, even after the Disney disasters. Probably the extra financial pressure of having kids would be why he sold them.

Like a $11 box of OG series one Garbage Pail Kids cards sell for like $30-$50k now.... People didn't think to start HODL'ing GPK cards till series 3 when people realized the popularity and each series came and went so fast people didn't think to keep them unopened till after series 2 so series 2 and especially series 1 are super rare. $55k Series one box

Harley Quinn came today. Now after all of these years Babydoll finally has someone to dike out with lol. These things come with a ton of extra accessories like extra hands for holding different stuff, Harley comes with both a baseball bat and the hammer shown, roller skates, etc. so that you can change and customize the look. Amazing how they can easily stand on their own (they weigh a lot more than say, a childs Barbie doll, so they have the weight to stand sturdy on their own) and don't need their stands really unless you pose them on one foot...  I still want to get the Joker dude, his figure looks more realistic than both of these two, but at $300....probably won't be able to ever find one for a good price. The shelve about is bare...just put it up...I should put "The Plant" on it lol. |

I've always admired the Jared Leto Joker from Suicide Squad figure, the head sculpt is so good on it and it looks so badass. It came out around 2016/17. I wanted to get it back then but couldn't force myself to pay the price. It was originally $220 when it came out and I talked a guy down to $190 on eBay for one brand new in the box so I was like fuck it, for cheaper than new and someone is asking $200 just for the head sculpt and these normally go up in value I splooged on it. This is definitely the last one, I won't be getting any more. These things do look badass on the shelf above my PC but they're just too damned expensive. I did feel like a sexist not having a male figure to have a threesome with Harley Quinn and Babydoll. ^^^Almost looks like a still clip from a movie lol.  I kinda did want the purple coat version but they're selling in the $350 but I didn't see one with a "Make Offer" so I couldn't try to negotiate on price for that one so I was definitely settling for the OG straight jacket version for $190. Even the straight jacket version one that I got is typically selling for $300. I think I got a good deal for a new in the box one for $190. |

Never have been a big collector, but I got a Starcraft War Pig marine (mail-in offer) when I bought Starcraft 2. The funny thing is they actually sent me two by mistake, could've been because I had called them at one point asking if it was still on the way. They probably sent another one just in case.
Unfortunately some of their accessories are missing, probably cause of my nephews playing with them back then.

So now that is out of the way... I kinda sort of picked up another one. Got Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow... So does she/it/they/them look like a little mini Scarlett Johansson? lol. This is definitely it for these things...100% not buying any more...way too much money...I can delete this thread now, we've seen the end of it lol. |

I was just walking down the sidewalk when I accidentally bumped into a tree and knocked another one of these figures out of a tree branch and it landed into my hands... I got the only other Sucker Punch figures that Hot Toys made, Amber. I heard the reason they stopped at this character was because the movie was considered a flop. I think this Hot Toys figure is very underrated. Compared to a newer figure like Black Widow, I think the quality of the cloths with real functional zippers is much better than molded into the outfit fake zippers. The cloths look and feel like real cloths. I'm happy with this figure and might re-sell the Black Widow one.. The headphones actually fully articulate and are fully adjustable lol. The hat his magnetic.
Face detail...
The color/lighting of this next pic closely resembles how I remember the movie looking and on a cellphone screen could be mistaken for a still from the movie.... I'm surprised that the Babydoll figure doesn't have a lot more dust on it. I've never tried to clean it and its been sitting out in the open since 2017. Maybe because I had it sitting up further towards the ceiling on top of an arcade game the dust isn't as bad at higher elevation? lol. Closeup of the real functional zippers... I really think that this is a real high quality figure for how old and unpopular that it is... Great stitching and detail on the outfit...   I was like what the hell, poor Babydoll has been sitting around all these years without her only other Hot Toys mate so I decided to grab one while I could still find one brand new in the box... But... This is 150% the last one that I'm ever going to touch... This one last outlier is it 150%. I won't be posting any more in this thread. These few were cool to collect and check out but no more. |

So I was sitting home minding my own business when I got a text this morning saying that I had a package waiting at the post office and what do you know, someone sent me the OG version of Harley Quinn...the one that I really wanted but cheaped out on the other version lol.
     So let this be a lesson to myself to not go cheap on something that you know that you don't really want when the one that you really want costs more so just pay more and get the one that you want in the beginning lol. This is the original Hot Toys Harley Quinn, the one that I really wanted (I just love the outfit and face sculpt/expression the best where the other one looks muted if that makes any sense). But it's the most expensive one, seeing this OG version going up to $950 on eBay lol. I snagged this one for $421.17 shipped which is double the price of the other version that I have. I'm probably going to sell the other Harley Quinn and Black Widow....just not feeling them. But this is for sure within 250% fact the last one that I'm ever getting, you can quote me this time lol. |

But amazing detail non-the-less....  This is it...no more of these things...waaaaaay too much money... They kinda look cool on shelf above my PC lit up with Wi-Fi LED strips though hehe. |
