A friend just got knee replacement surgery, a little tied up and immobile and not much funds (hasn't worked in a long while due to knees) so I gave him my PS5. It wasn't easy because I'm a greedy cheapskate tight-wad but I only bought it for Forbidden West and that's coming out on the PC the end of March anyway but damned...I paid $500 for it and gave it away lol.

I haven't owned a console since I got a 360 from a pawn shop in 2009…....it got the RROD after I fished two games Ironically, that's the only console that I've been able to hold onto for the long haul, sorta. I sold it once to my father, then he sold or traded it to my neighbor, and then I wound up buying it off of him for something super cheap like $20/$30 with the 120GB HD just to play R-Type Dimensions before I bought the official arcade machine. One thing that I miss about the 360 is like every game had a downloadable demo and I used to just download bunches of random demos and found a lot of games that I liked by playing the demo that I otherwise would of never gave a second glance had it not been for a playable demo (Life is Strange, for example). There was this one game on the 360 that I thought was fun and addictive as hell called Screamride that I wish made it to the PC because the last time I had the 360 plugged into a modern 4k display it looked like ass. I've been thinking about dusting the 360 off and plugging it in. I don't even remember what games I have installed on it anymore since it's been around 2014 since I've used it lol. Not even sure if I have a controller that will work with it anymore since the only controller I had was a wired 360 controller that I used and wore out on the PC and I think my current controller is a Xbox one controller. |

Make that like $550... Forgot my Xbox One controller was getting stick drift on the left stick and have been using my PS5 controller on the PC so I had to order a new controller. Got the clear w/rgb Gamesir one with hall effects joysticks so it should last and work a lot better than a traditional stick with a potentiometer that wears out. What I don't get is that you have these expensive "pro" controllers now that are creeping up to near $200 (probably that much with tax and shipping) and they don't even have hall effects sticks and people pay that much for something that isn't better.

I use a plain Xbox One controller with my PC, I got a nasty bug switching my SSD from my laptop to my desktop where I couldn't use it or remove it. Had to go into Device Management and say "Show Hidden Devices" and remove ALL hidden Bluetooth devices that were holdovers from the laptop.
Had no idea that was a thing in 2024.
