Yup, it's a Honda E, in this exact colour too. All the pics and info are in this review, which is pretty accurate in my 2 weeks with the car so far, except that it does work for my particular driving situation, where it doesn't for the guy in the end... www.drive.co.uk/living-with-the-honda-e/

My two previous new cars were compacts. If I weren't a remote worker with very little commuting, I'd probably still be driving a compact.
If I weren't so pessimistic, I'd look forward to the day they have self-driving cars for rent at an cheap price. If it's not inexpensive to rent a car where they don't even have to pay an employee, then forget it. As a matter of principle, I'm tired of the greed.

Looks good to me, just needs a bike rack. You're not going to believe this but it's already equipped with a bike rack hitch. It's a second hand, sadly, because they stopped making them when I finally convinced the wife we should get one, but I got a great deal with this one. After about a month of feeling so down because I thought I completely missed the opportunity to still get one, I broke down and decided to get the second hand one they already showed me when we were at the garage, but it was yellow and didn't have leather seats and had about 8000 miles on it. I decided to get it wrapped and live with the seats. When I phoned to ask if they still had it, the woman on the phone said they still had it but that the day before they also acquired another one, a metallic grey one, with leather seats. I just about freaked out when she said that, that was exactly the one I was going to get. It was a little older but only had a little under 4000 miles on it. I jumped on that immediately, bought it the very next day. It was from a guy that bought it to put onto a trailer to tow behind his camper when traveling. And on the car, he had a hitch installed for a bike rack as well (which, I could tell, had never been used even once). In fact, the entire car looked unused, you couldn't find a single scratch or blemish anywhere on the inside of the car, not even the compartments where you put stuff in the middle console, the tires even still had the little rubber nubs on the rims. I probably put more wear and tear on it the past 2 weeks than they did in 2 years. This also meant I had it 9 months sooner than a new one and it cost me a whole 10K less, which does a great job of evening it out for me, lol.

Looks like a cool car. Can't get them in the US yet

Thanks, so far I'm loving almost all of it. I can do without the LCD rearview mirror (but you can turn it off and just use it as a reflective surface, which I usually do) and the lane-assist which you can turn off but it will re-engage whenever you restart the car, but I love the way it drives (it's the fastest accelerating car I've ever driven and it's hard not to do that on every occasion, lol).

Many Americans love to hate on small cars. Small cars are more fun to drive (vs SUVs or muscle cars) because less weight means better acceleration and handling. Newtons laws of motion back that up. The ugly truth is that US infrastructure (roads & bridges) have been crumbling for decades. Some places are nice, but many areas are terrible. So Americans desire bigger vehicles, like SUVs, because they ride better on our shitty roads.

To be honest though, since it's electric, it's anything but light, especially for such a small car. It's over 500kg more than my Suzuki Swift, at around 1500kg total. Of course that's still only half of some American SUVs, lol.
Almost no parking spaces over here are designed with American SUVs in mind, and certainly no parking garages, some of which are already a bitch to navigate in our Mazda 6 Break.

No thanks to the batteries. Batteries are the Achilles' heel of EV's. Electric motors have far fewer parts than ICE (internal combustion engine), so the electric motor itself is actually lighter and more powerful than an ICE. i.e. better power to weight ratio, before factoring in the batteries. But companies are working on it. Toyota recently designed a prototype battery for EV's that they believe will extend EV's range by at least 100%.

I'm still driving a 2006. Picked it up in 2017 for $9,000 cash. No loan.
Still driving great. Sadly the remote start has started to flake out on me. There are various levels of remote start. Mine came with the SUV. Its a "one way" with a simple remote. The fanciest remote starts are two way, they send a signal back, have unlimited range via smart phone, and will turn on your rear defrost and heated seats as well. Very nice.
Debating if I want to upgrade.
