This was my list, from the movie boards
Best:
Hell or High Water The Hateful Eight (this came out in 2016 in Belgium) Doctor Strange Deadpool
Incredibly fun
The Greasy Strangler The Brothers Grimsby Hardcore Henry
Recommended
Green Room 10 Cloverfield Lane Swiss Army Man The Nice Guys War Dogs
Recommended (horror)
I Am Not a Serial Killer Don't Breathe Train to Busan Antibirth Holidays Southbound The Mind's Eye
Guilty Pleasures
Batman v Superman Suicide Squad Sausage Party Yoga Hosers TMNT2: Out of the Shadows
Fail
Warcraft (All a bit too silly) Lights Out (Stick to the short) Gods of Egypt (WTF? And I'm usually pretty forgiving for nonsense of this type) White Girl (Kids wannabe, even more irritating characters) Officer Downe (Too low-budget, too boring)
Still to see, with expectations
Arrival, Rogue One, Shin Godzilla

White Girl (Kids wannabe, even more irritating characters) IMO ALL of those "these kids today" movies are pretty shit.

Rogue One was definitely my favorite movie this year, it's definitely not perfect but still a solid 7 or 8. Captain America 3 and Doctor Strange were also really good I thought. Also Deadpool was great.

I have the hardest time remember anything about Civil War (or the last X-Men movie for that matter). That's why neither are on the list. I remember liking both when I saw them in the theatre, but I guess neither is very memorable. Didn't even bother downloading them again (and the blurays are still too expensive, but I'll get them).

I have the hardest time remember anything about Civil War S'alright... a little unfocused but good enough. I don't think I've actually been to the cinema once this year... currently looking through this list en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2016_in_film but nothing's ringing a bell. Seen a few of them online/at home though. Civil War - As above... Deadpool - Enjoyed it well enough although I'm not really a fan of Reynolds (I tend to look upon him only as a more talented/less unfunny version of Seann William Scott), at least I didn't have to look at his face for most of the movie. Batman v Superman - Not bad, certainly a hell of a lot better than I thought it might turn out. Batman: The Killing Joke - Enjoyed a lot, could have been longer though. That's it...

Captain America Civil War was the one with Spider-Man and Ant-Man, and Ant-Man makes himself giant.
*edit* Oh yeah, I also recently saw Bad Santa 2. It's got some very funny moments and Christina Hendricks is really hot in it, but all in all it lacked heart compared to the first movie.

Captain America Civil War was the one with Spider-Man and Ant-Man, and Ant-Man makes himself giant. That's the only stuff I remember about it, that brawl with all the characters.

Still haven't seen Ant-Man; wasn't that intrigued but after seeing the guy in Civil War I'll probably pick it up if I see it cheap/in an offer.

That one I liked. Really funny and for once it worked extremely well in 3D as well. In 3D you can really sense the size of the world when he's small.

I will assure you that Arrival is amazing. I believe it went unnoticed by a lot of folks unfortunately. Speaking of sci-fi from this past year. Have you seen Midnight Special? I have been wanting to check it out for quite some time.
