The answer might be in your question. The production company already has the money from theater goers, and the real fans will score the digital version regardless of the blu ray cover. So the only possible additional revenue stream would be from more casual consumers, and the color scheme was designed to attract them. Imo anyway. |

The first one is the one I have on my 3D Bluray. Didn't remember it was also a bunch of stacked heads, but at least the colour grading is correct.
