I've considered getting an electric vehicle, if I did it would have to be a truck though just fits my lifestyle. Kind of intrigued by the Rivian R1T.

I'm planning on driving my 2006 till it dies, supposedly THAT is the best thing you can do "for the environment" and it also makes the most financial sense. Even a $250 a month car payment adds up, I know people spending $500 on their car payment. A guy I worked with in IT at an old job was paying like $750 a month for a nice BMW. It was a finance firm so I guess he wanted to fit in with all the other BMWs and Audis in the parking lot. I don't do the "Keep up with the Jonses" thing so I didn't get a new car when I worked there.
I'd be OK with a pickup, I used to drive one, but I like having a roomy SUV because I can throw my XL bike in the back and then go park and not worry about people stealing it off the back. Obviously people can smash my window and steal it but that is much harder then just dismounting the bike off of a bike rack.

^Rivian makes an SUV as well, the R1S.
Last I heard they were having trouble keeping up and following through with orders of both their trucks and SUVs, not sure how they're doing now.

Honda Ridgeline with a hard bed cover....locks like a trunk and can't open the cover without opening the tail gate.
