Wow this is interesting: if you go to udm14.com and search stuff, it will search it on google but without all the AI stuff.
*edit* Also looks like you can add udm14.com to Firefox via an addon. There's also a few for Chrome, but I tried one and it didn't actually work. It shows the normal search result that includes the AI and everything, but then refreshes to the new page with the udm14 thing added. The one I got for Firefox actually does work and searches using udm14.com.

Yeah its ridiculous the amount of content in the mod. I've played Doom on so many source ports I've lost count. The first big one that was supposed to come out when I was still in High School was GLDoom. It got to Beta..........then the programmer who was working on it suffered a harddrive crash and his backups weren't working. He never tested them. That was in 1998 I think? Luckily soon after that other source ports starting coming out one right after the other. JDoom was a big one, Doom Legacy as well. Apparently one of the best ones if you want something less over the top then Brutal Doom is Doom Retro. I keep meaning to play it but so many games so little time. I have the Alan Wake DLC downloading right now. www.doomretro.com/

Oh yeah one of the cool little features in Doom Retro I think is you can spawn a "helper dog", they basically run around and help you fight monsters. Other source ports support them as well but first I heard about it.
The new Wolfenstein games look fun but I've never finished one. I was in the middle of one in like 2019 then my SSD died. lame.

You know, It's hard out here for a pimp... My first job out of college I had to manage people who worked in group homes. I had no idea what I was doing but hey not bad for someone with Zero experience post college. Anyway, if someone called in sick or whatever and I couldn't find coverage I needed to personally go do their job. One time someone had a family emergency and had to leave for a shift. So I went to the clients house and they were putting on Hustle & Flow, so I got paid to sit and watch that whole movie. It was OK

You know, It's hard out here for a pimp... His 1 x 1 = 2 is like cryptocurrency. It doesn't have to make sense (mathematically or logically speaking). You just have to convince the ignorant masses that it does (in order to make it profitable). imo, despite the lunacy or whatever scam he's pullin', he's right that Economics isn't just about numbers adding up ( the right way). There's a social component to Economics.. else crypto (digital ether), fiat currency, and certain shiny metals wouldn't necessarly be worth anything.

Edit: This video was the AI generated 50's era rendition of a Metroid movie trailer. Evidently, Nintendo strikes again (with another legal complaint and/or lawsuit).

Techlead pretty much nails it - why STEM is becoming the path for corporate wage slaves and scammer/grifter (or "pimp") is how people are making money these days.

Wow this is now blocked in the US for copyright (the 1950's Metroid thing). Probably N*ntendo did that.
Changed my VPN to UK and now I can see it again.

Yeah, just saw it and edited my original post. It's a shame as it's really cool. They did a few other Nintendo themed ones, but I think this (Metroid) one was the best.
