The demand was so high that the public sale had to be temporarily canceled. A spokesperson said that the demand was so high in the pre-sale event that they could of filled 900 stadiums. They started the tour originally with like 27 shows, then added more due to demand, and then added yet again due to demand totaling 57 shows) but they say the demand is so high that they could of filled 900 stadiums? WTF!? I was actually in the verified fan pre-sale event for her last tour that got canceled in 2020 and that was only like 4 shows and tickets remained after the pre-sale and there was no craziness like this. Why all of a sudden!? Ticket prices on reseller sites such as StubHub climbed over the $100,000 mark and also triggered the department of justice to launch an investigation over ticketmaster shenanigans.
I did registered again for the verified fan pre-sale for this one but wasn't picked this time around. Would like to go but not at the price of a house or car lol.

I waited in line for over an hour for My Chemical Romance tickets and the website crashed, this was precovid. Then COVID happened and the concert was cancelled anyway.

Crazy...I never dealt with so much demand over a concert before and I've been to some heavy hitters such as Metallica. But could you imagine being able to fill 900 full scale 70,000 people capacity stadiums!? Holy moly... Is this the result of people being locked up for two years? Her last tour before the one that got canceled (Reputation) seemed like a really high budget show. I wonder if the quality of her shows makes them more appealing too. But then again, I think she is the only person to ever dominate all top ten spots at the same time in the billboard 100. Remarkable music performer.

I don't think I could tell you 1 title of a Taylor Swift song. I'd probably recognise some if it got played (I mean, I have been forced to listen to hitshit radio stations at work) but I wouldn't have been aware it was hers. I'm sure I won't like it anyway and I don't understand how it can appeal to anyone (but the same goes for about 90% of the music on those hitshit stations)...

You sound you like my father who only listens to the same old 15 classic rock songs on repeat and nothing else and claims that everything else is shit. Can the bands that you listen to garner enough demand to fill even one stadium of 50,000 to 70,000 people let alone freakin' 900 of them? Or even a smaller 15,000-18,000 person arena? Yea probably not. Just curious, name some of the bands or performers that you listen to, I'd love to check them out. I'm always looking for new music...you can find me listening to just solo classical piano sometimes or even movie scores. I listen to just about anything.
I got a ticket to this show because my musical tastes span more than just the same 15 songs from the same genre and I like new experiences when it comes to live performances and her Reputation Tour on Netflix looked like a pretty good high budget show and I would like to experience it first-hand. I'll be right on the floor close to the stage row 5.

I certainly don't just listen to the same old songs over and over. I discover new stuff I like all the time, I even bought a newly released CD just last week, in all kinds of genres, just never in the mainstream. I can (*ahum* have to) listen to hitshit radio at work an entire shift and never hear a song I would actually choose to play myself. At best I don't get annoyed, but a lot of times I do, especially the surge of Dutch/Flemish songs that are swamping those stations at the moment are incredibly awful.
My all-time favorite band is Front Line Assembly, they've been releasing music steadily since the early '90s and released their latest last year or so, maybe 2020. That album I got last week is the latest of one of their side projects, Noise Unit...

You sound you like my father who only listens to the same old 15 classic rock songs on repeat and nothing else and claims that everything else I've always hated that mentality, on the flip side one of my favorite music YouTubers hates all rock from before 1991 because he said its all "boring". That mentality sucks just the same IMO.

I thought this mashup of Taylor & NIN worked well. The same director also directed both videos:
