I'm confused. Since Windows 7 windows update seems like it gets to a point and then completely fails to update from a certain point and you have to download the upgrade assistant and download and install a completely different build of Windows to continue to have Windows Update work. What's the point of Windows Update anymore if it can't keep your OS up to date...

Windows 10 updates are a nightmare, I've had BSOD's following updates.

In my experience working in IT Windows 10 updates are ofc far from perfect but the worst of Windows 7 updates is gone. We used to get all kinds of tickets about out of disk space Windows 7 machines, somehow Windows Update would fill an entire HDD with temporary files it was so annoying. Haven't seen that with Windows 10.

Well now that I used the upgrade assistant to upgrade to the latest build of 10 Windows update is now working as it should. Now I'm constantly getting reminded to update to Windows 11 for free. Wtf? I thought they said that Windows 10 would be the last version of Windows? Lmao... 🤣
Anyway if you didn't know, using certain utilities like Spybot Antibeacon can fuck up Windows update by blocking certain M$ IPs in the host file for example.
