The Best and Worst Movies of 2021

Figured not that much is going to be coming out anymore in the last week that might make the lists (and if it does, I'll edit it in) so here are my favorite and most disliked movies from the past year:

THE BEST MOVIES:

- Spider-Man - No Way Home (Best Marvel thing of the year)
- Dune (Solid scifi-adventure that looks amazing)
- Fried Barry (Weirdest movie of the year and a lot of fun)
- Malignant (Crazy horror that went places I didn't expect)
- A Writer's Odyssey (Chinese CG extravaganza which completely blew me away)
- The Suicide Squad (Best DC movie of the bunch)
- Gaia (Second South African movie on this list, huh, didn't see that coming)

Also recommended: No Time to Die, The Feast, The Pizzagate Massacre, Venom: Let There Be Carnage, Pig, The Night House, The Trip, Broadcast Signal Intrusion, Prisoners of the Ghostland, Free Guy, The Green Knight, Godzilla vs Kong, The Tomorrow War, Vicious Fun, The Mitchells vs the Machines, Major Grom - Plague Doctor, Censor, Nobody, Come True, Synchronic, Bloody Hell, Justice League - The Snyder Cut


THE BEST SERIES:

- Hellbound
- Chucky
- Foundation
- Cowboy Bebop
- Invincible

Also recommended: Squid Game, Dopesick, Star Wars: Visions, What If...?, Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki, Wandavision




THE WORST:

- The Matrix Resurrections (Not my Matrix)
- Black Widow (extremely disappointing)
- Snake Eyes - G.I. Joe Origins (can't even remember this)
- F9: The Fast Saga (ridiculously bad)
- Wonder Woman 1984 (ok, technically 2020 but I just want to remind everyone just how bad this is)

Also avoid: Candyman, Risen, Cryptozoo, Spiral: From the Book of Saw, Army of the Dead, Planet Dune, Nash Bridges...




Big movies I haven't seen yet: Ghostbusters and Eternals.
