I haven't been streaming much Oblivion lately with my full on PUBG addiction but I decided to add one more mod. Oblivion Reloaded. tesreloaded.com/thread/2/packageIts kinda of obnoxious but they force you to register on their site to download it, it uses Proboards just like here so its easy to sign up. Basically it upgrades the shit out of the graphics engine, and it is not some DLL injector, it actually changes the game directly. I only dicked around with it for a minute and set all the options to max and it made the game look tons better and its like a 15 meg download. I'd recommend it for sure.

Portal 2 is decent - some proper mindfuck/tricky levels in there; decent soundtrack too. The humor is great. First 'guide' is Stephen Merchant. At one time he ask you to pick him up off the floor, which I held off for as long as possible just to see how long he would talk before the sentences would loop. They didn't. There was original material for a good few minutes before it stopped. "I spy with my little eye something starting with F... ...it's a floor tile... ...pick me up, please" then some time later "I spy with my little eye something beginning with A... ...it's another floor tile, get it?" And Glados is just pissy you killed her in the last game and starts insulting your weight. 'You flew with the grace of an eagle... ...piloting a blimp." Stuff like that... And in the later parts JK Simmons shows up for even more shenanigans...

If PUBG was free to play, I would've probably already played the shit out of it. One game I'm really looking forward to and might pre-order (only $20) is Cuphead: store.steampowered.com/app/268910/Cuphead/It's a side-scrolling shooter that looks to have lots of elements from the old Mario and Contra games, and the map where you get to different areas is reminiscent of Zelda, Chrono Trigger, and the old Final Fantasy games. Everything is styled like old 1930's cartoons with lots of detail and depth, looks awesome and the gameplay seems challenging. I think it looks great, just hope it has enough gameplay and doesn't end after just a few hours.

What the hell is Dota2? Also Football Manager WTF? Defense of the Ancients 2. Also I don't like American Football or Soccer so I don't get it either.

I'm live on twitch streaming Dragon's Dogma. Ever since I ugpraded I kept meaning to play it and I finally remembered. Goddamn, the combat in Oblivion is so godawful compared to Dragon's Dogma, like Obivion is well known for its horrible combat but DD is like a breath of fresh air.
I made a ranger type character because being a wizard was really slow last time around, I'm enjoying it a lot more.
No real mods cept for Reshade. Makes it a lot crisper.

What the hell is Dota2? Also Football Manager WTF? "What the hell is Dota2?" Lately, there's been a slew of negative reviews on Steam for Dota 2. If you believe the negative reviews, Dota 2 is the game that killed Half-Life 3. I don't know what it's all about, but I assume they mean that Valve decided to invest more into this game rather than develop Half-Life 3. "Also Football Manager WTF?" Exactly.

I never could get into MOBA's (Dota 2 & League of Legends are the 2 most played.) It's like a cross between playing WoW and controlling a single unit in an RTS. Basically you have a team vs. another team. Fulfill objectives and kill other team. Never liked the gameplay.
Football Manager is a sports management game. It is not in reference to American Football, so it's actually mostly played by Europeans and South Americans. Game for nerds that like numbers and stats, negotiating player trades etc. Never played it myself but I checked out the description.
Lately I've still been playing PUBG and Stardew Valley. Bought Golf With Your Friends and played it quite a bit with some friends of mine. Mini-golf that that can be fucking ridiculous when you change the shape of the ball to a cone, cylinder, acorn. Or you can just play normal mini-golf on some cool courses. 6 available now and it isn't available in the workshop yet which is a shame because user made courses would be fucking awesome. Really is a lot of fun to play with others though and it was only $5.99.

Football Manager is a sports management game. Oh, I know what it is, I'm just amazed that many people are playing a management game, let alone a football management game, to be number 10 of most played games at the moment??? Where have all other games gone??? Seriously though, a football management game? Not even a regular football game, controlling the virtual players on a virtual pitch, managing them. Stats and shit. I can see boys wanting to become a football player, not so much wanting them to become a manager... Weird...

Lol, we've got that on PS3. The kids laughed a bunch playing it and so did I, for about an hour or so, until the novelty wore off...

According to a google search, the game offers 15 hours of gameplay and that's without doing any sidequests. Seems like a pretty decent length for an FPS type game. Parts of it are open/explorable too. Not exactly open, there are loading screens between areas that are pretty long, which is my only complaint. Still nice to be able to go back and repair or hack things after leveling up skills enough.
*edit* Got a little further in the game, there's really only a few types of enemies I've seen but I'm not bored so far. The developers of this game (Arkane Studios) also made Bioshock 2 and Dishonored, which I have noticed many similarities between Prey and Dishonored as well.

I am doing another playthrough of Dragon's Dogma Dark Arisen. Great game. My first time I basically rushed through the game at 100 miles an hour and did no side quests. This time I am taking my time and exploring. There are certain points where it moves the plot forward and cancels all outstanding quests, I haven't done that yet.
DDDA has the best combat of any RPG I have ever played

After all the the other Source games, I figured I'd give Left 4 Dead 2 another go seeing how I never really got into that and halfway though the first episode, I already wanted to quit. Played though that one, started a second but gave up soon. Re-installed the first L4D as well and I just like that one better. Can't put my finger on why that is.
Gonna try to get that to run on my home network so I can play it co-op with the kid but if it doesn't work, I'll probably just uninstall. Not really for me this type of gameplay.

I haven't touched Far Cry in ages, at least 5 years when I tried Far Cry 3 and I never even finished it.
Really looking forward to this tho

I finished Far Cry 3, played some of 4 but haven't finished. FC4 is also good, not as good as 3, but still good.
Playing some more of Prey and it's getting very tough. I might have to turn down the difficulty but I'm gonna try not to. Right now I'm stuck between 2 areas with low health, virtually no ammo and no energy to use my special abilities. I can either try to fight one way through several weaker enemies (that are still pretty tough), or go the other way where there's a massive boss-like monster blocking the way.
The boss has a timer for 3 minutes then disappears, or I can try killing it in that time which is impossible with what I have. Either direction is where I need to go for more health and hopefully ammo. Before all this, I had just killed a pretty tough boss which is why I have low health and am almost out of ammo. Might just try to sneak past them. I've also found lots of codes for security doors and safes and keycards but having a hard time finding where to use them.
All that being said, it's really starting to remind me of a Metroidvania-esque game. I unlocked this main lift that makes it possible to travel anywhere in the station. Before, the only way to get anywhere else on the station was to go outside and use the suit thruster to travel along the outside of it, scenic and there's stuff to find but takes a lot longer.
I'm just glad this game allows saving anywhere. *edit* Made it through the part with multiple enemies, died a lot along the way but found plenty of 9mm ammo, grenades and health. There's stuff in the environment that helps, including turrets you can repair and deploy and gas lines that you can shoot and will create a fire hazard for anything that tries to pass. There's also flammable substances on floors sometimes that can be set ablaze. Also there's a gun called the "GLOO Gun" that shoots a glue/foam substance. Can be used to put out fires and patch ruptured gas lines, and also can temporarily stop enemies in their tracks, can even use it to build steps to get to unreachable places.

Started to play The Long Dark again. Created a new survival save on Stalker difficulty. (3/4 max difficulty) Updated since I last played, you can now throw stones at rabbits to stun them long enough to run up on them and snap their neck. Survived about 8 days so far and have found most of the tools I need, but still looking for a hacksaw and general supplies. I lucked upon a dead wolf then shot another one next to it to give me enough meat for the next couple days. Wood is getting sparse, going to have to leave the cabin soon for an overnight wood cutting run. Playing this game just makes me feel cold.

Managed to get L4D to work on the home network so I can play co-op with one of the kids on the same Steam account. I think I'm better off with an AI player to be honest but at least we're having fun... ...not on the sacrifice though. 2 AI players + the kid isn't going to be enough to get through that. Still the only level I never managed to finish (never tried online).

Still playing Prey. I came across a safe I hadn't seen in an earlier exploration of the same area, found a note on the side of it that said Es + Xe. I figured they are elements but I had to look it up, it's Einsteinium and Xenon. Their atomic numbers respectively are the code.
I always appreciate when developers put little things like this in their games.

I beat Horizon Zero Dawn a couple weeks ago, loved every minute of if, and can't seem to find something new that's enjoyable to play. I fired up GTA V to finish where I left off and just can't seem to get back into it. Sad to even say that even the PC version of GTA V graphically looks dull and bland compared to Zero Dawn on the PS4 Pro.... I guess HDR really does make a difference. I liked the first Life is Strange, bought the new one on Steam today, and....yuk....instant refund....
