It sounds like a lot of fun and I'm going to pick it up on the next Steam sale.
I've barely touched PUBG in a year besides when I got my new laptop and made the clips above. I'm rusty as hell and just a shadow of when I used to play after work for hours back in 2018.
Anyway a couple days ago I decided to hop on and holy shit, worst night of PUBG I have ever played. I did not die in a single standup fight all night.
I kept getting shot in the back by people camping and went for one more game. I drove to an isolated town and didn't hear a thing. Made my way through a house and looted it. Went out the back door and BAM got sprayed I didn't even have the chance to react. I watched the replay and this dude heard my car coming and ran next to the road. I went in the house and as I was running he slowly creeped behind the building and just aimed at the back door and waited for me to leave. If I had gone out of the front he wouldn't have had a shot. I don't mind getting owned, it happens in multiplayer FPS but when every single death is from cheap campers it gets old.

I heard about this crazy easteregg in JFO, I thought it was fake but then decided to try it myself. It's not much but after moving a ball and then making an extremely difficult jump, you can see it. It's actually in an area you go through during the normal course of the game, but the stuff isn't in there until after doing those 2 steps.
*edit* Kingdom Come: Deliverance is leaving Xbox Game Pass soon (Aug 14), I think I'm gonna play some of it before it's removed. It feels like a very technical version of Oblivion or Skyrim kinda, also the objective system is a little confusing. At the beginning, I had to collect a debt from this guy and you have to kick his ass first, but then after that I couldn't figure out how to collect the debt. Turns out there's an axe on a chopping block outside of his house, the quest finally updated after I picked it up. I was searching all inside the house but it was pretty empty, the axe really was the only thing of value there. Now I have to figure out how to proceed with the other 2 quests, hopefully the game will get more interesting after that.
Might buy it next time I see it on sale, still $30 or $40 isn't bad for a 2 year old game.

Been streaming Daggerfall on twitch. Had 16 viewers in 2 hours which is really high for me. I don't think anyone else was streaming Daggerfall at the time. Found out a huge mod for Morrowind was updated recently, debating trying it: www.moddb.com/mods/morrowind-rebirth/news/release-morrowind-rebirth-52Of all the Elder Scrolls games Morrowind is the one I played the least. I was super hyped for it after being such a huge Daggerfall fan but it was so different compared to Daggerfall I didn't like it much. The graphics were very impressive for the time the water especially looked amazing on my Radeon 8500 but I just didn't really like the atmosphere. I did a tiny bit of the main quest and the mages guild, then I joined the assassin guild and did their whole quest chain as far as I could. I don't remember how long I played it but it was measured in weeks not months. Never touched it ever again. There are plenty of people out there who swear it is the greatest Elder Scrolls & the greatest PC RPG but it just didn't grab me at all. It also didn't help that your character runs like a retarded monkey lol.

I got further in Kingdom Come: Deliverance, the game looks great but there's a lot of cutscenes. There seems to be different ways to meet objectives too, I think I also missed some stuff at the beginning. I'm not sure if decisions in the game impact the story but I hope they do. Haven't seen any real combat yet, only a training part near the beginning.
On the Xbox Game Pass app, it said this game was gonna be leaving on 8/14 but it's still there. *edit* Now today 8/19 it's no longer on game pass. I enjoyed what I did play of it though, I'll definitely buy it next time I see it on sale somewhere. It's actually on sale on the Xbox store but I'd rather have it on Steam, or even Epic store or GoG instead. The Xbox app on PC installs games to folders that are a pain to access unless you set permissions, even then actually getting to the game folders and files is a whole other story. For that reason alone I will never buy any games on it, only download from the game pass.

Jedi Fallen Order went on sale today so I picked it up.
ME2/3 have been sitting on my hard drive with a ton of mods just gathering dust. I haven't touched them since April. I threw them on my external HD for later.
Think I am gonna stream it on twitch later. Looks like a game made for the controller not keyboard/mouse.

I know a few people who played Jedi Fallen Order with keyboard/mouse. I tried and found that I was able to do actions like blocking and parrying quicker compared to a controller but found it difficult to do dodging/rolling during combat. I played just on the controller for the most part though.

Not in a big gaming mood last couple days but I streamed it a bit on twitch. I dunno what the deal is with all of these games that make you crawl sideways on mesh. I can't believe its still a thing I remember it way back in Thief 2014.
I took a break right after you fight that Sister chick and get on the ship. Not capable of getting 144 hz sustained but doing 90 hz just fine.

Apparently Microsoft Flight Sim 2020 is up on Game Pass. Its cool they put something that new on it but I dunno. Large download and not sure I want to bother. I never got into flight sim games much they tend to bore me after like 10 minutes.

I'm kinda disappointed that Kingdom Come Deliverance was taken off of Game Pass, I was really getting into it. I might just buy it on Steam.
*edit* I saw an indie game on XGP called "Creature in the Well" that looks really interesting, decided to download it. It's leaving on 8/31.

Creature in the Well - Many times, indie games really surprise me and this is one of them. It's a top-down view game, I really like the art style and the music is great too, very bassy at times. So far there's a few melee weapons and there's pinball-type things that you have to get through to progress. Really liking this one, maybe I can finish it before it's removed from XGP (8/31). Very simplistic game and there's no audio dialogue, but I like how it's simple.

I streamed some JFO on twitch earlier today but I dunno wasn't in the mood for it. It seems good but like that mechanic of climbing on walls sideways is kinda eh. I know its in lots of games but wasn't feeling it today.
Went on PUBG since the new patch adds a new weapon. I didn't get the new weapon but I DID win the game killing the guy with the new weapon lol

I still haven't played PUBG, I may have to pick it up one day.
Can't say I disagree about the wall climbing parts in Jedi Fallen Order, that is a very big cliche in those types of 3rd person adventure games. There's also wall running and the way too overdone squeezing through tight spaces to get to other areas which are also pretty cliched.

There's also wall running and the way too overdone squeezing through tight spaces to get to other areas which are also pretty cliched. Apparently the wall climbing and parkour type stuff really became cliche because of Assassins Creed and Uncharted. I've only played one Assassins Creed game for like 45 minutes and never played Uncharted at all. When something gets popular ofc it has to get ripped off over and over. PUBG now is in a better place then it has ever been. People say its "dead" which is hilarious to think about since as of right now there are almost 400,000 people playing it. Most games would see being the 3rd most popular game on Steam as a smashing success but when you peak with 3,200,000 players then yeah it has fallen. The issue with PUBG is that there is too much content I think. Right now there are 5 maps and 3rd person and 1st person. 3rd person is the more casual and popular mode, 1st person is where the streamers all play so its harder but winning one of those matches is better since the competition is so much better. You used to be able to pick your region and when the season restarted your rank would go back to unranked. When I was playing PUBG 4+ hours a day I would wait for a new season to start then go to a region I never played on and own since I was unranked lol. One time it was down to me vs 1 other guy and I rushed him and he just camped behind a tree and had no idea what to do lol. These days I am rusty as hell plus you can't pick region anymore.

If they did another single player Stars Wars RPG with a half-way decent story, more like KotOR, that'd be an insta-purchase.

Yeah I don't know why they won't make games like that anymore. Still, Jedi Fallen Order is very fun with the lightsaber gameplay, also a very good adventure and Star Wars story. It ties into Clone Wars, Episode III, Rogue One, and Episode VII.

It ties into Clone Wars, Episode III, Rogue One, and Episode VII. My best guess.. Western RPG's depend on good writing & story to drive sales. When the writing & story are lacking, the game flops. The secret would be to hire better writers. Of course, the success formula is different for Japanese RPG's, because there's a huge weeb crowd who can't get enough anime and the story is a secondary concern (if at all).

They are making a Jedi Fallen Order 2, but it's not expected until 2022. Here's hoping they will put more RPG elements into the sequel and have actual light/dark paths.

I've almost bought Escape from Tarkov 100 times now since it first started to go viral on twitch two years ago. I have this thing about not buying games unless they are on sale so haven't so far. Looks like August 3-5th is the summer sale so I will probably pick it up then: www.escapefromtarkov.com/news/id/173?lang=undefinedThe people who dislike Tarkov are very very passionate in their dislike. I read this long post where a guy was like "So you are coming from PUBG or another realistic shooter and you think this is going to be a fun little loot shooter, however it has serious problems that will never be fixed please don't buy this" and proceeded to argue his case that the whole game was basically a scam. Meh. Even if its disappointing its not like I haven't wasted money before. EDIT: Ugh I misread the dates. Oh well not a big deal.

Been playing Borderlands 3, I like it, more Borderlands. Set all graphics options to the highest, my system seems to be keeping up.
Decided to try out Max Payne 2 without hardware T&L, software T&L used to run like crap on old processors but it's completely smooth on my new CPU. There is a difference in image quality with software mode on, seems like some lighting and/or shading effects aren't there but it's kind of subtle. This game was pretty groundbreaking with the graphics and physics back when it came out, it's still kind of impressive even 17 years later. I ended up playing through the entire game again.

For me Borderlands series is very social and all my friend who I played with didn't dig it. I made it a few hours in but I read its a long ass game.
Max Payne 2 was a lot of fun for its time. I even downloaded mods for it and such. I really liked Address Unknown the in universe series and the creepy atmosphere. I know Max Payne 3 got great reviews but I only made it like 30 minutes in. Need to go back and play it someday.
Played some PUBG today, I bet this dude was really pissed off lol

Crysis Remastered is out today on Epic www.epicgames.com/store/en-US/product/crysis-remastered/homeI'm debating picking it up and having a "can it run Crysis" twitch stream but I might just pass. I never actually finished the original Crysis. I finished Far Cry and it was a lot of fun all the way through but I got sick of Crysis real quick for some reason. I think I made it 2 hours in, my only memory of the game is sneaking behind dudes invisible on the beach. I couldn't tell you the plot of Crysis if you put a gun to my head. Would be fun to be on the hype train I guess but eh. Its a 13 year old single player game I doubt it will hold my attention.

I got a mod for Crysis called simply "Expanded" and it made parts of the game's levels a lot bigger and added more areas to explore. I really enjoyed it but there was a point late in the game where it would just crash and I couldn't go any further. I tried everything to fix it but just couldn't, so that was pretty much where the game ended with that mod. $30 too much for that though, I'm not even seeing anything different in the trailer, I watched a tech trailer and there are parts of it that actually look worse now. Kinda looks like Bulletstorm Full Clip Edition all over again, but at least they aren't charging $60 for it.
*edit* I finished the original Crysis several times, near the end you explore the inside of a giant wrecked alien ship with 0 graivty full of enemy aliens, there's also a point where the whole island becomes snowy and frozen because of some kind of terraforming machine that gets activated in said alien ship. There's also a boss fight that takes place on the deck of a naval carrier out in the ocean. I thought it was overall a good game, I also enjoyed the multiplayer in it a lot. Crysis Warhead was pretty good too, you play as Psycho instead of Nomad in that one.

Old RE games on sale for $5 on Steam, I saw RE0, RE1, and RE4 (HD versions) for $5. I might buy them. Also saw RE6 for $7 and RE7 for $10.
I used to play the sh*t out of RE0 and RE4 on the Gamecube, PS fans were always telling me RE4 was better on PS2 and had better graphics compared to the GC version, but the GC version actually had better graphics. Same game otherwise though. One thing about the GC, I really hated the controller it's gotta be one of the most uncomfortable controllers ever. My index finger used to get so sore from using the trigger button. Other than that, fine system and I still have it.
