I'm really enjoying Jedi Fallen Order, overall it feels like they combined elements from KotOR, Jedi Knight and Jedi Academy, and The Force Unleashed. The level design(s) remind me a lot of how the older Star Wars games like Dark Forces were, you can even find lots of secret areas if you explore.
It's not a perfect game, I've run into a few annoying glitches but nothing serious or game breaking yet.
One thing I kinda both like/dislike, every time I go to a meditation (save) point and recover health/force, all enemies around that point respawn. I don't mind it because there's still XP gained for enemies killed, but some enemies are really tough it's a pain to have to fight through them again after regaining everything. I think the respawning might be because I'm playing the game at a higher difficulty level, though.
In combat against lots of stormtroopers at the same time, they tend to kill eachother or themselves with grenades if you dash around them, which is great. Also deflecting stormtrooper blasts back at them (if timed correctly) is a lot of fun, sometimes they even end up hitting different ones.
Got to Kashyyyk and this has been the best part of the game so far, really good story. Also a character from Rogue One makes a surprising appearance during that part of the game.
{CLICK FOR SPOILER} Saw Gererra, Forest Whitaker does his voice too. There's also KX series droids in this part of the game, like K2-SO. The player-character's droid can be upgraded to hack them when they're low on HP, watching one of those droids beating up stormtroopers and tossing them around was great.

Killing Floor 2 is free on Epic Store and its cross compatible with Steam. Great game a lot of fun if you just want to shoot shit and don't want to be forced through a bunch of story and cutscenes.

There's a few other free games on Epic right now, Lifeless Planet and The Escapists 2 so I went ahead and redeemed them as well. The Killing Floor 2 page wasn't loading up in the app so I had to go through the website to redeem it.

That's funny, a little while ago I just decided to log into Ubisoft Uplay for the first time in I don't know how long, turns out I have a few games on there that I forgot all about like For Honor, a few Assassins Creed games, and The Division 2. Redeemed Watch Dogs 2, it says it will be in my Uplay library soon.
*edit* Wow Far Cry 6 is gonna have Giancarlo Esposito (Gus Fring from Breaking Bad).

Far Cry 5 was an impulse buy. I read good reviews but decided to wait for a sale. I put like 30 minutes into it.
Decided to play Deus Ex Mankind Divided. Even on this new 2020 system on the first mission with everything on Ultra was a couple of scenes where it bogged into the 40s. On my old 1070 system I had to turn a couple of options down to get good frames. Tried DirectX12 and its completely broken. Like 10 fps and not even maxing the wattage on my gfx card.
I did a New Game+ on Mankind Divided, barley remember what all the stuff does. Got past the first mission 100% non-lethal. I always say I am going to do a lethal playthrough but those games stories tend to punish you when you go in and slaughter everyone.

I don't think I was ever able to max out DX MKD, but I got the settings to where it still looked great and I couldn't tell much difference between max settings. I didn't play much of Far Cry 5, but probably will play some more at some point. I'm still hooked on Jedi Fallen Order, it's one of those games where once you learn more powers and skills, you can go back to previous planets in the game and go places where you couldn't before. I really like games that do that.

Got in a little Watch Dogs 2. I got the first one free too but never played it. Saw a Diablo 2 reference in the first 15 minutes. Funny enough the stealth indicator is the same as in Deus Ex and its made by the same people. Interesting so far but its way too soon for me to have an opinion. One stupid thing is you can't move bodies if you knock someone out.

Beat JFO, it took me 34 hours. I was surprised to see Chris Avellone in the credits, they consulted him for the story and writing.
All in all, I think it was a great action/adventure Star Wars game and well worth $25-$30, but I wouldn't give it more than an 8 out of 10. I don't know how much the content update added or how it affected the length of the game.
*edit* I was looking at the voice cast on IMDB and wow, it looks like they used the actors' actual likenesess for pretty much all of the human characters.
*edit 2* There's a new game+ mode but all it carries over is cosmetic stuff, which is too bad. However there are 2 new modes whenever you go to a meditation point, one is vs waves of enemies with different levels of difficulty and the other is called Battle Grid, you can set up your own fights on a grid with different units.

I'm going to pick it up when it goes on a big sale. I got Doom Eternal for $45 on release day. I haven't been following JFO very closely but hopefully the next Steam sale its cheap.

Jedi Fallen Order is actually quite similar to those Middle-Earth games, which are similar to the Batman: Arkham games.
I played the first Middle-earth game a lot and rather enjoyed it, I have the second one but really haven't played it yet. The install size of the second one is around 109GB.

To be honest one thing that really disappointed me about JFO was that the only rewards for exploring are just cosmetic things for the ship (Mantis), droid (BD-1), and for Cal's lightsaber. In KotOR you could find crystals and modules to modify your lightsaber with, they should have put something like that in the game and then you could find them in those crates too. However, you can also find extra healing stims from exploring.
There is one other thing you can find by exploring, but it may be a spoiler. {CLICK FOR SPOILER} You can upgrade your lightsaber to a double-bladed one if you revisit one of the planets later on and find a hidden workshop, it can also be switched between single and double blade using D-pad left or right (respectively) at any time. I don't think it's necessary to upgrade to double-blade but even if you don't, you get one late in the game anyway. I still did lots of exploring and enjoyed it but kept hoping maybe there would be something more than just cosmetic things.
Also a lot of the level design reminds me of Super Metroid and similar games, which I really liked.
Started another playthrough and I am still enjoying the game, although sometimes I do wish it were possible to skip cutscenes but they aren't too bad. I've already found quite a few secret areas I missed the first time around.
I actually started watching all the Star Wars movies from start to finish, also planning on watching Clone Wars since I haven't seen all of it yet. This game ties into Clone Wars, Episode III, and Rogue One.

I've had Alien Isolation installed on my PC forever but I haven't played in an a long time, probably a year or more.
Anyway I fired it up and was getting 300 fps lol.
Decided to try the scaling and did 4k to 1080p and it looks great and I'm getting >100 fps.
I searched if there are any new mods for it since its been a long time since I looked. There is one that edits the .ini for 4k shadows and the like.
There is also this insane new mod called "Kitty Isolation" that isn't officially released yet its in beta testing:
It makes the whole world a bunch of crazy bright colors and makes the alien bright pink. It also makes it brutally hard. The working joe androids now will run at you full speed instead of walking. It does add some quality of life stuff like letting you sprint in areas you could only walk and lets you skip other areas.

I really liked that old Aliens vs Predator game from 1999, it could have easily been a disaster but they did it right. I think I still have it somewhere, need to load it up again someday. I played some of Alien Isolation and liked it a lot, but I got lost early on and couldn't figure out which way to go. Need to revisit that one too.

The marine campaign was scary. They never topped it with the sequels. Also in Alien Isolation once you get the motion tracker it shows you which direction to go. There is a hard sequence at the beginning before you get the motion tracker where you have to sneak up past where some enemies came from but the game doesn't explain it.

They redid the jungle map in PUBG Sanhok. I was playing yesterday and couldn't figure out why I wasn't getting it. Then I saw it is set so you pick the normal map rotation OR the new map lol
Anyway nothing remarkable this was my last game of the night and I can't believe I pulled this off. I wish this guy was on twitch so I could see his reaction lol

Well that's good. I remember the original STALKER 2 they were working on in 2010, before it got canceled seemed like it was gonna be Xbox360 exclusive. I read that the new STALKER 2 is using Unreal Engine 4, thought that was interesting. I remember beating SoC and CS but I don't remember beating CoP, that's the one I will play when I do play it again soon.
Also I have 57 hours total on Jedi Fallen Order after 2 playthroughs. There's still a lot of hidden crates I haven't found, I might play one more time and try to find them. The rewards you find for exploring are almost purely cosmetic stuff, but some of the stuff actually looks awesome, like a poncho I found on Kashyyyk. All in all, great game and I'm glad they're already working on a sequel. I'm hoping in the sequel, they'll make clothing and lightsaber parts actually have some kind of stats and not be just cosmetic.
I did find a New Game+ mod for it but it hasn't been updated since 2019. I think it might be outdated and not compatible anymore, since the official content update for the game was released earlier this year. *edit* The "mod" is actually just a save file that you add to the game, I think the guy used cheats to get everything after the prologue and on the mod's description, it mentions things not to do so the game doesn't glitch. I kinda don't trust using a save for an older version of the game but I might still try it, what's the worst that could happen.
*edit* started a 3rd playthrough (not using the save mod at this time), after the prologue and visiting the first planet, you always have a choice to go to this planet called Dathomir which also appears in The Clone Wars. The planet is pretty tough if you go early and you can't explore it all until later, but it gives lots XP early on if you go there first. I'm playing on the highest difficulty this time, kept turning it down before but I'm gonna stick to it this time. It's very hard to parry at the highest difficulty sometimes. There's a monster you encounter at the beginning of Dathomir that is pretty tough but if you manage to parry its attacks 3 times you can kill it in 1 hit.
{CLICK FOR SPOILER} Also got the double-bladed lightsaber upgrade very quickly from going to Dathomir early.

In Fallout 4, I made these huge buildings around Sanctuary a long time ago and since I probably won't be playing Fallout 4 again like I used to, I decided to upload a video of them. I have the Dread the Commonwealth mod, makes it look like a horror game.
I tried to start a new game and start building the same structure the same way, but it just wasn't possible to do. I think some of the ways I placed things early on were before certain patches, and a lot of it was just luck. I think there's a mod that lets you place pieces even if they are red, I might start a new game some time and try it.

Nice is that the Pilgrim mod? It was taken down due to some drama. I had that and the Stalker music. Really went well together. Then my SSD died. Doh! There are mods out there that make it so you can build stuff anywhere.

Yeah I accidentally deleted my install the last time I reinstalled Windows, the PILGRIM Dread the Commonwealth mod can still be downloaded but it's unsupported and has never been updated.
Thankfully Steam is good at keeping saves in the cloud, the only mod I really needed that affected anything big is called Tina's Cookiepocolypse, it adds a lot of stuff to crafting but you have to do this quest that it adds first. It's a pretty short quest so not so bad, but then after that you earn these "cookies" from killing enemies and have to use them to redeem prizes in this underground bunker which includes a lot of the stuff I used in building. Notably support struts, glass windows, and tall walls (how I was able to do the stairs in that building the way they are).
Another problem with the Tina's Cookiepocolypse all-in-one mod, when it starts it makes it where enemies can't be looted and instead drop ammo and health you pick up by walking over it (it's supposed to be a Borderlands mod). However, after the quest you can find this underground bunker with machines that turn that stuff off and you can loot enemies like normal again. It's best to not do any main story quests that make you loot a body to get a quest item until after doing the mod quest and turning that stuff off.
I might re-upload that video, I'm not too happy with the way it turned out. The one I was doing before was turning out perfectly, but Piper never shuts up and her repeating dialogue was really messing up the recording, so I had to wait for her to be asleep. I tried to do another one during the day, but during the night with this mod just feels so much better, especially with mods like Commonwealth Conifers Redux which adds whole forests to the game when you do the .ini edits that it mentions.
PILGRIM is not perfect, there's a few minor lighting issues and also this annoying "bug swarm" thing that happens sometimes, suddenly there's a swarm of bugs flying around in your vision but it looks very blurry. At first I thought it was a graphical glitch caused by the mod, until I heard the bug swariming sounds too. AFAIK there's no way to turn it off, you just have to find somewhere to rest for an hour so it goes away. Overall, it's still my favorite ENB mod since it does such a great job of changing the actual tone of the game. There's also an optional file that makes Dogmeat have dark fur (Darkmeat).
On the mod page, it says PILGRIM was inspired by that movie The Witch, and a future update was supposed to have an option to turn Dogmeat into the goat from that movie but I don't think it was ever finished.

Decided to stream some Dungeon Defenders Awakened the first time since the first few days after I bought it.
Some guy joined and asked if I wanted to boost through the game, I ended up joining him and another streamer and he basically powerleveled me through the entire game on Nightmare Hardcore mode. Unlocked about 10 achievements wasn't bad.
One of the pluses of streaming is stuff like that.

I beat Jedi Fallen Order for the 3rd time, this time on the highest difficulty and I found all the secrets and chests. In addition to healing stims and cosmetic items for lightsaber/ship/droid/outfits, you can find powerups that give you extra hp and force after you find 3 of them and there's 12 of each. Collecting all of them and finding all 10 health stims actually made the game a lot easier, I had less trouble with the final boss fight at the highest difficulty than I did at the difficulty level below this one without finding all that stuff. I probably won't play this game again for a while but I have 96 hours total on it, so I feel like it was well worth the $30 I paid for it.
The game's still an 8 out of 10 for me, it's a very good game and I liked it a lot, especially because its game design reminded me a lot of Super Metroid. There are some annoying bugs and sometimes camera issues which interfere with the gameplay (all of a sudden the camera will just pan upward for no apparent reason but it's pretty rare), I got killed quite a few times because of some of these things which was aggravating. Unfortunately the game also has only 1 ending as far as I can tell, although it's a really good story with really good characters. I hope in the sequel there will be more endings, and actual light/dark paths like other Star Wars games have traditionally had.
