Just beat Prey, took 23 hours. There were a lot of sidequests I skipped but still did a lot of em. I hated having to travel between several different areas with long loading screens to get to the final part, but I thought the ending was good if a little bit predictable. Certain sidequests and things you do have an effect on the ending (there's 4 different endings from what I've read).
All in all, I thought it was a very good game and I'm not disappointed at all for $30. Probably will play again, there's some crazy achievements like not installing any Neuromods for the entire game.

I have been playing the Battlefront 2 beta a bit. It looks amazing on Ultra, some of the best graphics ever.
Either there are hackers already or I just don't get the game, there was a dude running around destroying people in two games back to back. He had 103 kills and the highest on our team had 21.

I am interested in Battlefront 2, might actually buy it. Not sure about hackers but I've seen videos on Youtube of people just owning everyone around the map, possible that people might be that good. Can't rule out hacks though. Finally beat another boss in Cuphead, it's very difficult but it's one of those games where you feel good after finally winning. Also gonna start another playthrough on Prey, gonna try to do it without any neuromods this time. I was surprised at a lot of the voice actors I saw in the end credits, some pretty familiar people in it: www.imdb.com/title/tt6528212

This is why PUBG is one of my favorite games of all time, featuring Maniac:

I'm playing 'Bioshock Infinite' on the 360 for the first time (£1 preowned lol) - I like it well enough but find the search/pickup mechanic a little tedious/slow, I'm frequently killed because I didn't double-tap X quick enough to open and then collect whilst sprinting over health/salt drops. It looks really good, the museums 'Boxer Rebellion' display was awesome! Just got to the point where you have to fight some boss dude with electro powers.

I'll be getting that one soon enough, especially since I'm not in a hurry to buy one of those mini Super Nintendos.
Started another playthrough on Prey, this time not bothering with getting any powers. On my first playthrough I got lots of powers but found ammo was very scarce. Not getting any powers means being able to recycle the mods and everything related to them (psi stims and repair kits), which means lots more ammo can be crafted early on. It actually feels easier to play as a straight up shooter.

If you had a mini Super Nintendo, you could be playing this in observance of Halloween. lol.
I owned that game on the original SNES and didn't care for it. I did try and beat it though, but it was too difficult (without the save & rewind features that the mini SNES has). It's probably the worst game on mini SNES (but I still haven't opened it or played all the games yet, so I'm not certain of that).

Comparing it to the original Ghouls'n Ghosts (MAME/arcade), Super Ghouls'n Ghosts for SNES looks to be one of those games where the devs were too ambitious and the gameplay suffered as a result. Super Ghouls'n Ghosts had better color palette, more & larger sprites (probably), and definitely better sound. But the controls aren't nearly as tight/responsive/fast as the original arcade game (Ghouls'n Ghosts/prequel).
Difficulty is crazy hard in both games (that is, without saves/rewind - the way the games were meant to be played), but that's obviously what the devs were aiming for.

But personally it's not worth the expense and storage space for another damn console.

Starfox 2's not bad, it did some things better than the first one but I didn't really care for the mech/walking parts on planet surfaces. Thankfully it lets you switch between flying or mech mode whenever you want. My favorite part of it was the missions in space where you can turn and go any direction you want, even up or down. A few missions are still on-rails but most of them are free flight with boundaries.

That was one of my favorite things about Freelancer and Descent Freespace.....the ability to just screw around for hours. Red Dead Revolver and GTA series also appeal to me for that....ooh looking forward to RDR2, when it eventually makes its way to PC....years from now.

Steam weekly sale. I just bought Witcher 3 GOTY for 20 bucks. Then I saw 1 and 2 remasters for dirt cheap so I bought them too. might be shelved since Destiny 2 is dropping next week but I've been meaning to get this and the price is sweet.
Just one question.... are 1 and 2 good/necessary? Ive read 2 fills in a lot of assumed knowledge in 3 but I know nothing of 1.

Just one question.... are 1 and 2 good/necessary? Ive read 2 fills in a lot of assumed knowledge in 3 but I know nothing of 1. Witcher 2 has a good story and can be a lot of fun. I don't go crazy on crafting in any of these kinds of games, and find it often tedious, but I was able to avoid a lot of it in Witcher 2 by just powering through. It sucks you right in from the beginning. It looks better than it should for a game of its age probably because they were shooting very high when they designed it. Hopefully you can still use "ubersampling" in the menu, though I guess it might not be more/much more than supersampling. www.techspot.com/review/405-the-witcher-2-performance/They mention it shipping in a buggy state ... followed by a patch that fixed a lot of that. IIRC there was more tuning that followed on that. That's with ubersampling, and it destroyed the top single gpu card of the time, the GTX 580, at even 1680 x 1050 with an average of 24 fps. With ubersampling off, and at a resolution easy to compare to, 1920 x 1200, the GTX 580 managed exactly 60 fps using the ulta setting (minus ubersampling). So, using the DSR/VSR of nVidia/AMD you can scale to 3840 x 2160 if you have a GPU four times as powerful as a GTX 580, or just use 3840 x 2160 if your monitor supports it. Or use ubersampling, maybe with like 2560 x 1440. Edit: Now that I think about it, and after considering the video below, I think even my GTX 1070 might be challenged trying to use 3840 x 2160 with a steady 60 fps. Lol, which of course makes me want to reinstall it.

Hehe. I think I'll just go for it and play 1 and 2. The complaints Im reading about 1 are that it's quaint. Clunky interface and cheesy dialogue, but honestly it sounds like people who never played earlier PC rpgs. Lots more reports that it is similar in style to those early works with a kick ass story to play through. I think ill be fine.

Played 1 a little bit on the PC. Didn't care for it. Played 3 on the PS4 and thought it was much more fun than the 1st Witcher game. That's about my experience with it also. I played all of about 2 hours of 1 and just didn't like it. Everything I've seen about 2 and especially 3 have been positive though. Kind of related in the sense of playing RPG's, I've been putting some time in Dragon Age Origins on PC. First time really digging into it again since I lost a save about 7 years ago to an HDD failure. Was actively playing the game when the drive died and just didn't want to go through it all again anytime soon. So here we are.

I played the prologue of Witcher 1. Dated for sure but not horrible. It's pretty much as described online, clunky interface/combat, slightly contrived dialogue....story yet to be determined. I'm going to blitz the main story and move on, save the heavy exploration for 3.

Steam just gave me a 50% off coupon for Civilization 6 Digital Deluxe that I'm not going to use. If anyone wants it let me know before Oct 30 when it expires.

I started playing Alien Isolation. I thought that scene at the beginning was a pre-rendered cutscene, it looks very good. The graphics and sound are great but the beginning is slow. Nothing has happened in 30 minutes other than some very nice graphics. I've seen a later part of it being played on Xbox 360 though, so I know it'll get better.
*edit* Also my speakers were fine all along. The problems were caused by interference from a magnet that had fallen behind my desk at some point, it was sitting on top of the wires. The whole system's been 100% fine since I removed it.

So I got back into World of Tanks again the last few days. 5 damn years I have been playing that game. I STILL don't have a Tier X tank.
I have a T30 and T-10 as my Tier 9 tanks, so pretty damn close to having a Tier X I just haven't taken the time to grind out one of the top tiers.
If you had told me back in 2012 I STILL wouldn't be at the end game I wouldn't have believed you.
Any of you guys still play WoT?

I have it installed but it's been a while since I played it.
It's an awesome game but I just have a hard time sticking with it, I feel like it gets tiresome to play.
