Fun-fact, it was the day before thanksgiving when this post was made. He was all alone stuck in a motel room the day of thanksgiving when he died. Ex wife (who I know personally) wouldn't let him see his kids or anything (so I was told). So much for "Out of nowhere I'm so happy no matter what happens!!! Can't stop smiling". Really happy times, eh...?

Did he kill himself? People going through any kind of mental health crisis can wildly swing from happy to sad and back.
Divorce is very common for modern people but I read a story about a woman who divorced her abusive husband and went insane, this was back in the 1960s and she was from a hardcore Catholic family and considered being a nun in her youth. The Catholic church takes a dim view on divorce so she felt like her eternal salvation was basically ruined. People these days get divorced over nothing so that whole thought process is so foreign to us.
