I have adblock turned off for this site and I never got any popups. They say they only use banner ads for revenue. Id check your addons and see if its a fluke

Ah, pop-ups, those were the days. Since I've been running noscript + adblock, those have just about vanished completely. Can't say how great it is to not have those annoying youtube ads anymore either. Those always bug the shit out of me whenever I use a computer other than my own...

So, i just dropped by and while i was looking at the thread about Evil Within on sale, I was re-routed to a link to update my browser. It's totally legit i'm sure. I saw that exact same thing pop up a while back, I knew right away it was not legit, wasn't sure it had come from this site. I actually downloaded it just out of curiosity, it's a zip archive that contains a .js file, malicious script of some kind no doubt. Might be a good idea to send it to Malwarebytes or someone. I actually did try to send it to Malwarebytes, but the email with the attached file in question has to be done a certain way and I didn't, so it ended up not being delivered. Unfortunately I had already deleted the file. I had AdBlock turned off for this site out of respect but I think I'm gonna turn it back on now.

techdows.com/2016/07/fake-urgent-chrome-update.htmlLooks like it has nothing to do with this site, should be okay to keep the adblocker off. That popup might be caused by adware/malware but I ran a virus scan and didn't find anything. Checked Windows startup, nothing suspect there. Seems like this has something to do with Chrome itself, maybe I'll just go back to using Firefox exclusively. *edit* Gatsby are you by any chance running Windows 10?
