This was one of my favorite TV shows (it was a mini series) when I was a child, do any of you other 80s kids remember this mini series on TV? I had some of these cards when I was kid but threw them out when I was growing up. I was able to find a completely untouched retail case of cards still sealed up since 1984. I also have a single pack of cards also unopened. Would it be a sin to open them up or should I keep them sealed? I wonder if the gum is still edible? Any worries about trying to gnaw on 36 year old bubble gum? What's your guys professional opinion? Open up just the single lone pack, eat the gum for the giggles and leave the complete sealed case untouched?

I guess it depends on how much you paid for it. If it wasn't too expensive and you don't see it rising in value anytime soon, you might as well open it up and actually gain acces to the cards.

I'm not too worried about the cost or future value but more on the lines of how cool it is to have an entire unopened case of cards that's 36 years old from one of my favorite childhood TV shows. I'll probably go ahead and open the single pack though and try the gum soon - maybe I should film myself eating the 36 year old gum...lol. And looking at the video above of the original vs the reboot - I can tell by the actors in that short clip that the reboot is probably nowhere near the quality of actors as the original. I do have a V DVD from the original series but I haven't watched it in years, probably almost 20 years, heh. I also have something else coming from this TV series that I had as a child and is also unopened...stay tuned.

Still though, Morena Baccarin *fapfapfap*
I've seen the remake. Was OK while it lasted, don't think it made the same impact as the original did back in the day on young people watching it.

Arrived today...! 36 years old and never opened! Had one as a kid but threw it out probably when I was entering my teen years but I was able to reunite with a brand new one! Now the original price tag on the top of the box says $19.99 but I don't remember it costing that much. I got mine from Marshals and I have stuck in my head $8.70 or something like that, maybe it was on sale. Well of course I was a kid and mom paid for it but I somehow have under $10 stuck in my head. Paid good money for this one though....36 years of inflation can be a bitch! lol

I can tell you now it'll just crumble into shitty bits in your gob... I gave some from a pack of GPK a whirl not long back. Check out what just I received in the mail! These where just recently opened from the original 34 year old factory shipping box (24 boxes total) from a guy who's father just passed away who was a big collector of this, that, and the other back in the 80s and he doesn't have any interest in any of it. You won't find a brand new box of these in this condition anywhere else lol....goin' back to the OG:

My elementary school banned them and the local stores started limiting sales to 3 packs per customer they where so popular and selling out so quick. So I would go into the store and grab 3 packs, send my mom in after me to grab another three, and then my cousin in for another 3. Stop at the drug store and wash, rinse, repeat. I never took care of my stuff when I was young - when the interest wore out, I would throw it out in the garbage to make way for more stuff. If I kept all my childhood stuff in mint condition I'd probably have a million dollars in stuff. The 3rd series GPK cards is the oldest series that's still affordable to buy a box unopened (can go up to $600) - check out the price of a series 1 unopened box of GPK cards, crazy: Attachments:
