The kids haven't seen the Meaning of Life yet, so we'll probably watch it this weekend as a tribute.

Still, all things considered, it has been 30 years since a Python died. Somehow I don't think the next one is going to take as long

I'm definitely gonna watch all the Monty Python movies. I bought this collection a while back includes Monty Python and the Holy Grail and another movie called And Now For Something Completely Different, which is just some of the best sketches from Flying Circus re-done. This collection also has another movie called The Adventures of Baron Munchausen which was directed by Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle is in it too but none of the other Pythons.
Life of Brian is on Netflix and The Meaning of Life is on Hulu but a Starz subscription is required.
This sketch is one of my favorites though:

I've got all the movies (and And Now For Something Completely Different) on DVD and a boxset of all the Flying Circus as well. Haven't coma across the blurays for a nice price yet, but then again, how much could HD improve the decidedly low-budget visuals anyway, lol?

I use PowerDVD to watch old DVD's, it has video enhancement features that make them look a lot better. And Now For Something Completely Different looked great with it on. Terry Jones was a huge part of Monty Python, he directed most of their movies.
Also blu-ray playback on PC has always been a pain in the ass, there's some kind of licensing involved otherwise they won't play. When they do play, they take forever to load up too. DVD's on the other hand load up almost instantly. I miss TotalMedia Theatre, one day it stopped playing blu-rays and stopped updating, went to their website and it was nowhere to be found anymore. I emailed and asked why it was no longer available and they were being very vague and avoidant about telling me why it's no longer available, all they did was give me a download link for the latest version. Couldn't find much but it appears they were infringing on some kind of patents or something and were sent a cease and desist.

Don't know anything about that, but how about VLC? Isn't it supposed to play just about anything and everything?
I also have a live show of theirs on DVD, Live at the Hollywood Bowl, I think it is. From back in the '70s, with a very active audience.

I have heard that VLC does do blu-ray playback but it's never worked for me. I think there's more involved but PowerDVD plays blu-ray's great aside from the slow loading. There is a guide for getting blu-ray's to play on VLC Media Player, looks like there's some files that have to be added to VLC but they make my antivirus programs go crazy. I haven't messed with it. www.videosolo.com/tutorials/play-blu-ray-with-vlc.html

I never got around to getting a bluray drive and since drives seem to be a thing of the past nowadays, I don't thing that's going to happen anymore.
