I'm the wrong person to ask since I generally don't buy new games. This year The Outer Worlds and RE2 were both ones I was really looking forward too, I got RE2 for $45 and Xbox Gamepass got me Outer Worlds for $1.
For me Resident Evil 2 was it, I'm just a sucker for good dark games and RE2 really nailed bringing late 90s survival horror into 2019. The graphics are also fantastic which helps a lot.
