My mouse was periodically getting this thing where the cursor would move by itself on the screen, was about to call up Logtech's tech support and/or just go buy a new mouse. Turned out there's only a certain spot on my mousepad that causes the issue to happen, looked closer and there's a few spots where it's become worn. Solved it for now by rotating the mousepad around, issue not happening anymore. This is a good mouse too, Logitech G402. Had the G5 before (very similar to the MX518) and it lasted for over a decade.

Fry's Electronics has the Corsair MM600 for $25. I know I said I would never buy a Corsair product again but this was the only hard mousepad I could find that I actually liked (I've always preferred hard pads). It's dual-sided, one side is smooth and the other is more textured, right now I'm using the textured side. So far so good, will probably play some LoL to test it out. The one I had before was the Allsop Redmond, only paid $12 for it and it worked great for a while, but eventually started wearing out after just a year. One side also started warping which made it slide on the desk easier. Hopefully this Corsair one lasts better. That Allsop one is also pretty heavy, I think it's made of steel. Corsair MM600 says it's made of aircraft-grade aluminum.
