Season 1 was OK, I didn't think it was great but for the most paty it was enjoyable enough with a few laughs here and there. I wasn't that much into it because it was too much like typical old school Star Trek, which I don't particulary care for either, but I ran with it because of the occasional funny moments.
So then, recently season 2 started. First episode was incredibly weak. Bad '90s sitcom weak. No laughs, just a few bad sitcom tropes: The captain has problems with his ex's new relationship and the doc's kid runs around with bad infuence friends that get him into trouble. Seriously? That's what we're aiming for now?
I figured I'd wait for the next episode to see if it would become better. It didn't. That Klingon looking dude has relationship problems and has to go into counseling with his mate. Didn't even smile once, was annoyed the entire 20 minutes I gave it before I shut it off and watched American Dad instead. What the hell happened? It's like they didn't even try anymore, just looked at every cliché from every bad sitcom and have their characters do it...
I'm done. I wasn't that into it to begin with and this sealed the deal.
