Great game, very good story and great art style. I have the original DOS version, it came with a demo for Dark Forces on the same CD.
Will definitely get this Remastered version.

I, on the other hand, have the original DOS version of Dark Forces. I even upgraded my 486 from 4MB to 8MB RAM just to be able to play it.

I was amazed by those early Star Wars games, have never been impressed with any others like I was with Dark Forces and Jedi Knight. Those kinds of Star Wars games are a thing of the past, especially since Disney killed LucasArts. Obsidian was actually beginning working on KotOR III.

True dat. Started going downhill for me when more and more emphasis came on the force powers and lightsabers and less on the shooting. It was fun to force push the occasional stormtrooper off a ledge or yank a gun from someone's hands but lightsabers just didn't work for me in a first person game. I still have a bunch of those games in my Steam list, bought them in a cheap pack years ago but never got around to playing them.
Republic Commando was OK, but it was prequel bollocks so it was already inferior to start with...
