Been praying for this to come to the PC for a while now! I always thought what a shame it was to remaster this classic and have it stuck on the old Xbox 360/PS3. For me, game consoles come and go, but "a" PC and my Steam library will always be with me so I'd always rather have a game on the PC in my Steam library over all else. As the years rolled on I lost hope for a PC release, but I guess this shows to never give up hope, lol!
Yea, yea, I know.... A classic remake like this is super-niche of a niche so I'm basically talking to myself about this here but....even owning the original 30+ year old arcade machines I need to show my support for remasters and releases like this so that more companies will follow suit... It would be great to get more official classic game remasters like this on the PC which BTW, this does include with the press of a button the original arcade graphics but of course looks like ass on a fixed pixel display so the remastered graphics are very welcomed for modern displays which is what is really needed with these old games without being able to play them on CRTs. But what I was about to say, we need to show companies support so we can get future remakes like this. Plus it will save me having to get up and walk all the way into the next room to play some R-Type when I want to play a quick game because I'll now be able to do it on my PC...lol. I'm hoping an official release playing on a beast PC with a 144/165hz Gsync monitor will alleviate the input lag that I experienced on the PS3/Xbox 360 version (the PS3 is REALLY bad) compared to the original dedicated arcade hardware which has zero lag....
