Got a chance to play one last weekend...... "Looks" great at first glance (they did great with the artwork) but the one I played suffered from input AND sound lag. Of course the retro arcade graphics looked like shit on a LCD (to be expected) and the controls felt real cheap and didn't work very well (the spinner for Tempest was rubbing the control panel and I could barely turn it). I really wanted to like it as I think I would deal with the ass-looks of the LCD display running retro graphics (looks blocky and dull compared to the real deal) but the input and sound lag not to mention the *very* poor controls makes it a total dud for me. Makes me glad and appreciate more that I have real classic arcade machines Other problems owners are reporting are game breaking glitches like Gauntlet crashes on level 30 and also Rampage has a similar bug. Control panel paint wearing off with little use (which they're addressing with a plexi overlay). Price is around $299.99 per cab. Some stores have exclusive cabs/games like the Galaga/Galaxian at Walmart. Good idea for a space saving and light weight retro arcade cab experience, but very poor quality control. Not a solid replacement option for a real arcade cab. Hopefully the next round of game cabs that they release next year will be better tested and higher quality control.
I do find it interesting that these old arcade games have enough interest to have a slew of products being made in the year 2018 with more planned in the future.

RGT 85 (Youtuber) collects the Arcade1Up cabinets. He says the quality has been going up.

FYI, Retropie isn't without its hiccups. I found that the "Scrape" tool (used to automatically fetch box art for your installed games) fubars about 5 - 10% of the games metadata (i.e. game name and box art gets copied, duplicated and assigned to incorrect games). I've found an obscure method to correct the games' metadata. So if any of you guys decide to build a Pi-based arcade cabinet or other Pi-based retro gaming console in order to play thousands of retro games on one device, I could help with tips on setting it up, overclocking (which helps alot with performance on the Pi's) remotely from command line interface on your PC & connecting to your Pi via WiFi, and correcting games' metadata via a .NET based app I found (needs .NET to launch it).

Raspberry Pie is a little too sweet and tangy for me, can you put triple fudge pie on it instead?

The Pandora's Box are cool for people who aren't interested in bulky arcade cabinets. Although, I've read that some people buy these and install the hardware into full-size arcade cabinets. The OS/UI/games are pre-configured and they claim "Perfect arcade emulation." pandorastoybox.ca/product/pandoras-box-3d-x-2448-games/
