Doesn't affect me in any way. Never had any interest in their games. I tend to like a little more gameplay in my games and I guess the rest of the gamers are catching up to this concept as well cuz if they were still shipping huge volumes of games, they wouldn't be closing down.

Their games were quality from what little I know about them, mostly from reading reviews. The only one I played was "Tales from the Borderlands" - the animation was done well and humor/story were funny.
imo, Games that aren't full-on games and more like interactive movies (or cartoons), probably have to compete with actual movies. There's so much content out there competing for customers' time & money, i suppose people just tend to watch movies instead.
Sucks that that happened in an area with such a high cost of living (California), especially for those who have no friends & family to help them out. If I were in that situation, I'd move somewhere that's more affordable, even if it meant applying for jobs with slightly lower salaries.

Can't disagree with all of the above, but I did enjoy their games, even Back to the Future. We never got a BTTF 4 but their game was almost like having that. Their Guardians of the Galaxy game was good and it had more interaction in it compared to their other games. The new season of The Walking Dead had more exploration and more things to interact with too, they were starting to do things better but it's sad that they had to end it here.
It sucks that the rest of their games are canceled, but I feel bad for all the people who lost their jobs and didn't even get severance.
I was reading that they had been working on a Stranger Things game that Netflix was backing, and that it's still being made by Netflix.

I got a little ways into The Walking Dead game and then I lost interest at a point where I had to sneak around an apartment complex. Always meant to go back to it, never got around to it.
Looks like Detroit: Becoming Human which had a similar interactive story kind of format sold pretty well.

But then, they marketed the hell out of it, with frequent airing of tv commercials, etc. Also, it has less of a cartoony look, so it looks like a game for adults.

It's been confirmed that The Walking Dead Final Season will be finished by Skybound Entertainment. Looks like all of the other games that Telltale had in the pipe are canceled though. I have TWD Final Season but I haven't played the 2nd episode yet. Might wait for the rest of the episodes to be released. *edit* Looks like they're also trying to hire on all of TTG's original developers, but it's not so simple: www.vgr.com/skybound-on-securing-original-telltale-developers/I never finished The Wolf Among Us, I think I'll get around to that.
