I spent a bunch of time picking out mods for Skyrim, then I played it for a grand total of about an hour and a half lol. I got the distinct impression I was playing a single player MMO. Unlike Mass Effect or Dragon Age where the characters and narrative is front and center Skyrim it seemed to float in the background and didn't grab me at all. I might try it again but $40 is a bit steep. I felt that same way about Kingdoms of Amalur, the experience was pretty immersive for the first couple of hours but after that it just felt like a vast lonely world. I get excited about the possibilities for games like this, but for some reason I just can't dedicated the months of game time like I did back in the day for WoW. Missing that bit of community.

ROFL, in all that time he probably could've raised an actual family... ...probably less lesbians though.

I'm not into RP'ing MMO's, but the best part of playing Skyrim/Fallout, any RPG really, is making up random facts and lore about your character. I started a play through trying to be Old Man from Legend of Neil. It was great. Ran around as a straight up gansta mage. Didn't give a fuck about anyone's problem. And in Mass Effect 1 my buddy and I talked once about making a Jack Shepard character (the main dude in the TV show Lost) and have him specialize in Pistols and Healing. Lmao

Svper, quick question. I was messing around with the NMM and a few mods require SKSE installed but everyone says it isn't compatible with the special edition. Are you playing the regular version? I didn't buy the special edition but I think my regular copy was automatically upgraded on Steam.

Thoughts on Serana also testing the new spoiler button I added: {Spoiler}Serana is designed from the ground up to be the best follower pretty much. However the fact that she and her family are fucking evil through and through is never discussed. Like she is a servant of Molag Bal and an ancient vampire. I guess she makes up for it be being "nice" lol

Just noticed that I do have special edition but it's not installed so I'm already good. Going to throw a couple mods on but probably won't have much time to play until the weekend.

Finally got SKSE working and downloaded SkyUI. This makes the game so much better. NMM really does help, much better than digging through the steam workshop.

My character started out so nice but now she is a soulless abomination complete with an evil horse who kills indiscriminately

I made a Nord chick. Decided to play as a super militant nationalist intent on "Making Skyrim Great Again!" Definitely joining the Stormcloaks. We'll see where this goes.

Extremely high stealth so she doesn't break mine. I love her. {Spoiler}I haven't played through the entire quest yet but I'm wondering if it's going to come to a point where she chooses her side permanently. I chose the "good" side, personally.

Thread necro!
A friend of mine was streaming Skyrim so I decided to load up my old save. I had a completely different computer last time I played Skyrim. It worked just fine with all my mods I was shocked. It did the thing Skyrim does where it set the graphics to very low before you run the graphic utility.
Not sure when or how it happened by the ENB I was running glitched out and looked horrible and disabled all the shadows. Turned that off.
In the 2+ years since I played Skyrim they have released a lot more mods and such. I dunno if its worth it to go through and try and get more graphic stuff. There is some kind of mod that completely overhauls how certain lighting and such is done in the game at a very deep level that didn't exist last time I played.
