It's (Amazon) Prime Day. A bunch of Amazon Prime movies are on sale, such as Atomic Blonde for $4.99.

I signed up for the free trial of Youtube Premium just so I could watch Cobra Kai (which I very much enjoyed). There is nothing else I've seen on there that interests me, they all have those Youtube stars which I've never even heard of most of them. It's a decent mobile music player though, also seems to use less battery than Spotify. I probably won't be keeping it though.

Disenchantment premiered today on Netflix, I watched the first 4 episodes. It has been hit or miss at times (also got harsh early reviews), but overall I like the story and characters and it's funny. Worthy followup to Simpsons and Futurama IMO.

Futurama was hit'n'miss at first as well but look how that turned out...
I guess I know what I'll be watching this next week after work and before going to bed.

Yeah I kept that in mind as I was watching it. I'm not sure why the critics were so harsh on it, I guess they weren't around when The Simpsons and Futurama both respectively premiered and were just getting off the ground.
I have noticed that Elfo looks like Bart, also those 3 bumbling knights the king sends after the princess remind me of Mom's 3 sons from Futurama.

Watched the first episode this morning (was 36 minutes, a lot longer than I expected. Rest of the episodes seem to clock in at 28 minutes). Was fine, but why is the animation (and the designs of most of the characters) so shoddy? The king especially reminds me of the animation in those awful Philips CDI Zelda games. The 3D CG of the enviroments looks great but the characters (or their animation) don't. I've seen Futurama in 1080p as well but that just looks so much better in every single way.
The king's advisor (or whatever) sounds exactly like the eldest (I think) of Futurama's Mom's 3 idiot sons. I've heard Mom voice a character herself as well.

I agree about the animation, it's not great. I'm guessing they're using some other method, maybe they couldn't use the same one from before due to copyright or something.
Yeah a lot of the same voice actors from Futurama and The Simpsons too.
I would've preferred more Futurama but I liked this show okay, and want to see where it will go in the next season. Some interesting twists happen in the last few episodes and it ends on a cliffhanger.
I don't know if you've seen Game of Thrones but I've noticed these things that are possibly references to it:
The trap door in the throne room is like the moon door in The Eyrie. The king's advisor (Odval) is similar to Littlefinger. The wizard is similar to Qyburn. Princess Bean has white hair like Daenerys.

They're adding "not ads" to Netflix. I think it'll be time for a lot of people to cancel Netflix soon.

I was reading about that. It's commercials for their own content and it's only supposed to show things that are recommended based on what you've "liked" on Netflix. They said it's only for their own content and not for 3rd party shows from different companies, but someone on Reddit claimed to have seen an ad for Better Call Saul.
Also I'm not sure about Netflix's recommendations. For example, it recommended Gran Torino because I watched Jackass 3. I thought Gran Torino was good but the way it was recommended makes no sense at all.

The new season of Better Call Saul is produced by Netflix though. They added a title card after the regular opening credits that reads 'a Netflix original series' or something to that extent.

Breaking Bad is my favorite show of all time but for some reason I haven't sat down to watch Better Call Saul. I haven't watched any TV shows recently.

Breaking Bad is my favorite show of all time but for some reason I haven't sat down to watch Better Call Saul. I haven't watched any TV shows recently. Better Call Saul is pretty different, but the last few seasons have started becoming more like Breaking Bad, especially since they've brought back many characters from it. Mike's backstory is very interesting, and it shows when he was introduced to Gus and started working for him. I think it's as good as Breaking Bad. There's some episodes where they show in the future what's going on with Saul/Jimmy after he got a new identity. Also it has the guy who played Vaas in Far Cry 3 (Michael Mando), he plays a cartel guy called Nacho. He was actually mentioned by Saul in Breaking Bad as "Ignacio" which Nacho is short for.

The least interesting part of Better Call Saul is Saul himself, which isn't a problem because he is interesting. Michael Mando is the best part of the show for me.

I would've preferred more Futurama but I liked this show okay, and want to see where it will go in the next season. Some interesting twists happen in the last few episodes and it ends on a cliffhanger. Yesterday I've seen the best episode yet, the 5th "Faster Princess Kill Kill" which was just all kinds of funny, 6th too. I'm actually starting to like it quite a bit. First episode is the weakest by far. Maybe I'm getting used to it but lately I haven't been noticing the animation so much. I still feel the king's design doesn't seem to fit the rest of the characters, but I'm digging the things he says and how he says it (it helps it's John DiMaggio) so I'll get over that. Yeah, I'm sold, after a rocky start, halfway though the season I'm starting to dig it.

It is true that the later episodes get better. I think my favorite moment was when the king opens the chimney and all those bodies fall out, he doesn't even look surprised.

Well I haven't watched anything on Netflix in a while.... Honestly, I find more interesting stuff on regular old Youtube. The sucky part about Netflix is that it's always the movies that I want to watch that are the ones not on there.....grrr.. Don't know if I should keep it or cancel it. Honestly it's not that expensive and it doesn't effect my monthly bill budget in any way but.....why pay for something that I don't or rarely use?

I'm watching The Ballad of Buster Scruggs, Coen brothers movie made for Netflix. It's an old west movie that tells 6 stories.
*edit* Got done watching it, thought it was pretty good. Great characters. I hadn't seen an old west type of movie in a long time, but this one I very much enjoyed.
